    ABSTRACT Disturbance to protected areas Nyiut Mountain Nature Reserve from the village who lives close to the nature reserve, one of which is the village Sahan. People who want to meet the necessities of life to have to deal with SPORC Brigade Bekantan officers, so this study aims to determine the perception of community sahan village towards Satuan Polhut Reaksi Cepat (SPORC) activities in Nyiut Mountain Nature Reserve and to determine the relationship between the level of age, knowledge and cosmopolitan village with perception of community sahan village towards Satuan Polhut Reaksi Cepat (SPORC) activities in Nyiut Mountain Nature Reserve. The method used was a survey method with interview-assisted questionnaire. Determination of the number of respondents using Slovin formula and its determination by purposive sampling. Data analysis using Chi Square formula. Perception of community sahan village towards Satuan Polhut Reaksi Cepat (SPORC) activities in Nyiut Mountain Nature Reserve tend to be different. Data analysis showed 50.70% of the respondents are neutral, it is because they basically support the SPORC Brigade Bekantan activities that preserve Nyiut Mountain Nature Reserve but people also complained about the lack of SPORC Brigade Bekantan to dissemination and outreach to the community Sahan Village. Independent variables that have a real relationship / significant with the perception of community sahan village towards Satuan Polhut Reaksi Cepat (SPORC) activities in Nyiut Mountain Nature Reserve is the level of knowledge, whereas that does not have a real relationship / significant is the age level and the level of cosmopolitan society.     Wildlife bird is one of the natural resources that have an important role in the lives of both ecological, recreational, economic, tourism and in terms of education and science, so that its presence is absolutely necessary not only for the present but also for the future. Extinction of a species of bird in the wild means the loss of natural resources are very precious existence therefore need to be preserved. This study aims to determine the diversity of bird species that are diurnal Nature Reserve area mandor regency landak. The study was conducted on the 2nd of February-3 March 2013. Result observations made at three study sites Heath forest, peat swamp forest, mining Logged diurnal found 92 species of birds with details on Heath forest (50 species and 500 individuals), Peat Swamp Forest (86 species with 549 individuals), and the former mining area (48 species with 426 individuals). Highest species diversity in Peat Swamp Forest with morning time value of diversity H = 1.73947, time of day H = 1.74264 and the evening H = 1.73440. The result of the calculation is known that the dominance of the largest diurnal bird habitat Heath forest with morning dominance index C = 0.04314, C = 0.03687 lunch time and evening time C = 0.03789. The similarity index is the highest type in Peat Swamp Forests and Forest Heath with IS = 50.88% while the lowest type on the similarity index Heath forest and mining Logged in value IS = 48.93%.     KEMAMPUAN EMPAT JENIS TANAMAN DALAM MENYERAP CEMARAN MERKURI DI MEDIA TAILING

    This study aims to determine the level of absorption mercury contamination in plants and would like to know which plants are best at absorbing mercury contamination in tailings. plants used were Casuarina junghuniana, Cinnamomum porrectum (Roxb.), Melastoma affine and Dillenia suffruticosa Griff ex Hook. This study uses RCD (randomized completely design) with 8 treatments on plants and each treatment was repeated 5 times. The analysis showed that the Casuarina junghuniana, Cinnamomum porrectum (Roxb.), Melastoma affine and Dillenia suffruticosa Griff ex Hook has the ability to absorb mercury contamination in tailing and the tolerance to mercury contamination. The results showed that the higher the growth rate, the higher the mercury is absorbed in plant tissues. The best types of plants to absorb mercury contamination is Melastoma affine and Dillenia suffruticosa Griff ex Hook because this plant is a plant that tolerance and is a pioneer plant that can grow in soil that has a low nutrient content, has rapid growth and are able to grow in the open and logged over . The analysis showed that the levels of mercury in the tissues of plants and media higher than 0.02 ppm. However, the levels of mercury in the media on the treatment of P3, P5, P6, and P7 contains mercury <0.02 ppm.     The research was conducted on Danau Sentarum National Park in SPTN II Semitau, Stasiun Riset Bukit Tekenang Kapuas Hulu, West Borneo. The objective of this research were to: (1) Identify the visitor characteristics of Danau Sentarum National Park; (2) Identify factors influencing the demand of recreation; (3) Estimate the demand equation of recreation benefit of Danau Sentarum National Park; (4) Value the economic of National Park. The result shown that visitor characteristics including age, gender, incomes, occupation, cost during activity of recreation, motivation, and the vehicle type used were highly varied. The data were analyzed using stepwise regression model. The factors influencing the visit to Danau Sentarum National Park were traveling expense, number of people per district, and number of working hour per day. The demand equation models based on traveling cost method was ?=2,033 0,00000074 X1 0,037 X2, with R2 = 88,7%; F tabel = 5,786; Y= recreation demand; X= traveling cost. The economics valuation of Danau Santarum National Park was obtained from the averages of williningness to pay, sacrificed value, and consumer surplus of each 1000 people which were Rp 332.904.984, Rp 486.970.684 and Rp 154.065.699 respectively.     The research was conducted at the District Hall Hamlet Semoncol Sanggau . The purpose of this study to determine aspects of ethnobotany of medicinal plant use and knowledge of medicinal plants by local people Semoncol Hamlet . While the benefits of this research can be used as preliminary information on the community didusun Semoncol in utilizing and conserving medicinal plants . Interviews and field research found 33 species of medicinal plants , namely 8 species , 5 types of liana , 8 kinds of herbs , 11 shrubs , and one type of herb . Of the 33 species of medicinal plants , there are 29 species from 21 families have been identified and his family with the scientific name of 87.87 % and the percentage of species that are not found and relatives scientific name is 12.12 % . For most shrubs levels used are 11 species ( 33.33 % ) . Type the ingredients of the most widely used is the sole way which is 30 species ( 90.90 % ) . The most widely used is the leaves which is 20 species ( 60.60 % ) . The most used way of processing is boiled with 15 species ( 45.45 % ) , to how to use the most widely used is the way to drink is 25 species ( 75.75 % ) , for the treatment turned out the way in which treatment is the most widely used 23 species ( 69.69 % ).     The research objective was to determine the antifungal activity and the effective concentration of extract sindur wood oil in inhibiting Schizophyllum commune Fries fungus growth. Concentration of extract sindur wood oil used for the treatment were 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, 12%, 14% and 16%. The toxicity testing had done by method using PDA medium mixed with the extract sindur oil. Extract sindur wood oil activity is inclusive of category for concentration 2%, strongth for concentration 4%, 6%, 8% and very strong for concentration 10%, 12%, 16%.The concentration of 16% is very strong anti-fungal activity which inhibit 100% of growth of S. commune fungi. Concentration 10% of extract wood sindur oil is optimum contration to inhibit S. commune fungus growth. Key word : Schizophyllum commune Fries, sindur wood oil, antifungal

    The aim of this research was to evaluate the activity methanol extract of lotus plant part (Nymphaea lotus L.) flower excrescenes that best of treatment to inhibit Schizopyllum commune Fries fungus-growth. Research was conducted in several steps, maceration process and efficacy test of methanol exctract as antifungal, agar media used for the treatment was PDA (potatoes dextrose agar). Concentration of methanol exctract used for the treatment were 0;2;4;6;8; and 10%. The result indicated that the methanol exctract inhibited the Schizopyllum commune Fries growth. Concentration of methanol exctract resulted in significantly different antifungal activities. Methanol extract with a concentration of 2% from flower excrescence resulted in 97,62%, the content of organic fractions of methanol exctract, such as alkaloid, tannin, flavonoid might be possible for these antifungal activities.     Type belian increasingly threatened by logging, followed by rejuvenation, while growth is known to be very slow. One to maintain the standing purchase is to cultivate these plants. Purchase seed coat is very hard, it should be given a variety of treatments. The purpose of this study was undertaken to determine the effect of several treatments that can overcome dormancy in seed purchase and finding the right treatment to break seed dormancy diamond. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Silviculture Faculty of Forestry, University of Tanjungpura Pontianak, a study carried out for about 3 (three) months. This research method used is Randomized Block Design Acak (RAK), which consists of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment consists of treatment research P0 (control), P1 (skin solving in seeds), P2 (soaking seeds with 70% H2SO4), P3 (soaking seeds with auxin), and P4 (soaking with GA) with each of treatment 3 subsampling. Mean while, as the length of the seed is made ??up of a group I = 8 cm - 8.9cm, group II = 9 cm - 9.9 cm, group III = 10.1 cm - 10, 8, and group IV = 11 cm - 12.8 cm. Friedman Test results of calculations obtained from treatment that do not significantly affect seed dormancy period on purchases. From the results of Friedman test value T = 8 is smaller than the = 9.49, it was decided to accept H?.     West Kalimantan is famous for wet tropical forests that store different types of plant species that are traditionally used by the public. Bani Amas Village Community is still very dependent on the forest for their daily needs, especially in the use of medicinal plants to cure various diseases has been done for generations and has been going on since long. The purpose of this study is to determine the types of medicinal plants and their use by the public, knowing the medicinal plant parts used, how mixes and know the different types of diseases that can be overcome by using the herb. From the research found 48 medicinal plant species, 46 genera and 34 families were used, as many as 17 species in the form of herbs, 35 species used alone, 26 species the leaves are used, 24 species used by boiling, 35 species used by drink.
