Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren is an urban pest which builds carton nests in dark places. This termite is difficult to control due to difficulties of direct spraying to entire colony. The new methods for control subterranean termites such as used the essentials oil is a prospective study. This study aims to determine the bioactivity of essential oil of orange peel Citrus nobilis var .microcarpa and to determine the optimal level of inhibiting termites C. curvignathus. Essential oil made from peel of C. nobilis orange which macerated with methanol for 24 hours. Essential oil obtained was dissolved on filter paper at a dose of 0.1 ml; 0.2 ml; 0.3 ml; and 0.4 ml. Then this filter paper used to biossay to determine the effectiveness of essential oil to inhibited subterranean termites C. curvignathus. This process was conducted in three days. The results showed that the highest activity which caused 100% mortality of termite was obtained at dose 0.4 ml. The greater dose of essential oils of orange peel resulted in the highest mortality of termites and vice versa resulted the lowest percentage of paper weight loss. The optimal dose in the use of essential oils of orange peel of C. nobilis to inhibited the termites C. curvignathus was 0.2 ml. Rubber farming in the tembawang area is the main livelihood of household of farmer communities. The research took place in tembawang area at Sebalo village Bengkayang subdistrict. The research aim to know the farmer’s income, the efficiency level of farm rubber done by farmers, the percentage contribution of rubber revenue to the household, and to know the influence factors of farmer’s income. The research conducted from April to May 2014. The research used survey method, and samples were taken by purposive sampling. The results shows that the average net income of sap rubber is Rp 12.050.609,-/household/year or Rp 1.004.217,42/household/month. The efficiency level of 3,34 points means that economically the farm rubber is reasonable and give benefit to the farmer. The income contribution of rubber is 51,44% from total income of the household. The regression analyzed from the three variables influences the income from rubbers. The variables are the number of the tembawang areas (X1), the work experience (X2) and the total of rubber trees that tapped (X3). These three variables collectivelly give significant effect to decrease or increase the farmer’s income from sap rubber with Ftest 23,729 > Ftable (α=0,05;100) = 2,70. So the Halt is accepted and coefficient determination (R2) is 0,426. The variable of the number of rubber trees have high correlation with net income in which the Ttest = 6,758 > Ttable (α=0,05;2) = 4,303. While the space area and the work experience have not corelated in which the Ttest are 2,094 and -1,374 respectively. Keywords : Bengkayang, farmers incomes, rubbers, sebalo village, tembawang

This study aims to determine the structure and composition of the vegetation in the area of permanent sample plots (PSPs) PT. Kawedar Kapuas Hulu. The benefit of this study is expected to be a reference in the PUP area management efforts in the future. The research was conducted in the area of permanent sample plots (PSPs) PT. Kawedar Wood Industry Kapuas Hulu for 4-week study effectively in the field. The method in this study is a terraced-line method which is a combination of to track and double plot, which placed intentionally (purposive sampling). Transect made of four (4) lanes in the direction of the wind, which is the aspect of the East, West, South, and North, with the width of each lane 20 meters long and ± 500. The results of the research are 48 species that include: 36 species of trees with 745 individuals, 37 species of poles with 904 individuals, 29 species of saplings with 1.266 individuals, 30 species of seedlings with 1.960 individuals. Diversity of trees (H ̅) 1.2604, poles (H ̅) 1.1537, saplings (H ̅) 1.2094 and seedling (H ̅) 1.3141. This suggests that the species diversity index value stands at PUP area. PT. Kawedar Wood Industry is the diversity of the medium, which ranged from 1.5 to 3.5. Keyword: Structure and composition, permanent sample plots, vegetatio

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study to determine diversity of Kantong Semar (Nepenthes spp) and level of dominance. Determination of observation using purposive sampling method with plot size of 40 mx 40 m. In the region there are 3 types of Nepenthes spp, among other Nepenthes ampullaria, Nepenthes xhookeriana, and Nepenthes rafflesiana. The most dominant type is Nepenthes ampullaria with value (INP = 105.57%), followed by Nepenthes xhookeriana with (INP = 71.60%), lowest type of Nepenthes rafflesiana with (INP = 22.83%). The dominant species is Nepenthes ampullaria with highest dominance value (C = 0.2786), While lowest is the Nepenthes rafflesiana (C = 0.0130). The highest diversity index Nepenthes xhookeriana namely (H '= 0.1597) and type of Nepenthes ampullaria (H' = 0.1465), while lowest diversity index for the types of Nepenthes rafflesiana (H '= 0.1076). The value of highest abundance of Nepenthes spp was Nepenthes xhookeriana with an abundance of types of 0.3347 and  lowest abundance found in Nepenthes rafflesiana kind of 0.2255. Species diversity is a characteristic of a society based on levels of biological organization, can be used to express the structure of society. This study aims to determine the level of species diversity of vegetation and to determine the types of stands that have the potential as a producer of seed. The method used is a double plot method by means of laying in a systematic sample plot sampling. The dokument is taken from tree species, diameter and height were found on the growth rate at the level of the pole and tree level in 49 plots of observation. From the results obtained by the type of vegetation found in the area of seed orchards candidate showed a fairly high level of diversity, with the kind of stands that have the potential as a producer of seeds isVatica rassak, Shorea Leavis, Shorea parvifolia, Shorea sp, Shorea leprosula, Shorea ovalis, Dryobalanops beccarii and Dipterocarpus caudatus.
