KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS ROTAN DI KAWASAN HUTAN ADAT SEPORA DESA KASROMEGO KECAMATAN BEDUAI KABUPATEN SANGGAU
In the wood is complex structure creates an environment that is, allowing the diversity and plants to live within. One of the diversity that can grow in the woods Indonesia is rattan. Wicker including the typical tropical belonging to the family palmae (Dransfield and Manokaran 1996 in Jumiati et al, 2012). In the woods customary Sepora there have been a number of rattan. It can be seen from surrounding the use of these plants as the rattan, wicker rattan, mat, wicker vegetables, basket, the material and forth. The types of rattan is in an area of forest customary Sepora had not yet been attention so that infomation about the types of rattan not yet avaible. The purpose of this study is to find the diversity of spesies in the industry, wicker especially a kind of which is generally usedby the community and rattan supplies as feedstocks. Of the field observation finding of rattan derived of the genus, calamus, korthalsia and daemonorops. Of the six flavors of the raw materials only one kind of rattan a solitary namely of the genus calamus. Based on analysis obtained diversity field index to spesies (Hʹ) ranges from 0,0642-0,1530, or less than one which means that the diversity of the species in this area relatively low. While the dominant index value (C) of 0,0024-0,0708, or less than one showing that the absence of distinction from one species with other species within to community, to achieve that in a community has an equal chance of good growing. KUALITAS PEWARNAAN KAYU SENGON (PARASERIANTHES FALCATARIA (L). NIELSEN) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN EKSTRAK KULIT BUAH MANGGIS, KULIT KAYU AKASIA DAN KULIT KAYU BAKAU
The usage of wood is not limited to household appliances but also used wood for the exterior. Wood have a high decorative value because of its color and fiber pattern. Wood decorative value increase the economic value of wood. Sengon (Paraserianthes Falcataria (L). Nielsen), one of wood species which not have interesting pattern and color thus through this research dyeing process conducted to know the optimum concentration of Sengon staining by using several natural extract such as the rind of Mangstosteen fruit (Garcinia mangostana L.), bark of Acacia mangium and Mangrove tree bark. There were four level of concentration used 5%, 10% , 15% and 20%. The result showed that the highest extract yield percentage derived from A. mangium bark followed by mangrove bark and mangoosten fruit rind (32.67%, 29.09% and 28.37 respectively). While for pH value, mangoosteen fruit rind extract have the highest value followed by mangove bark extract and A. Mangium bark (5.8-6, 5-7 and 5-5.2 respectively). The highest absorbance value derived from A. Mangium bark extract followed by mangosteen fruit rind extract and mangrove bark extract (0.715 ppm, 0.476 ppm and 0.439 ppm respectively). A. Mangium bark extract also shown the highest absorbance followed by mangrove bark extract and mangosteen fruit rind (0.699 ppm, 0.477 ppm and 0.4 ppm) in 478 nm wavelength with 800C. Dyeing process with mangosteen fruit rind extract with 20% concentration resulted highest retention value (9.064 kg/m3) while for the brightness resulted from 10% concentration. KEARIFAN LOKAL MASYARAKAT DALAM MENJAGA KELESTARIAN HUTAN ADAT TAWANG PANYAI DI DESA TAPANG SEMADAK KECAMATAN SEKADAU HILIR KABUPATEN SEKADAU
The Tawang Panyai Customary Forest has various species of trees which produce timber, fruits, medicinal plants, rattan and bamboo used by the indigenous De’sa Dayak people around it. To date, the Tawang Panyai Customary Forest is well preserved through local wisdom of the local community. This research aims to find out the forms of local wisdom and describe how such wisdom in the community preserve the Tawang Panyai Customary Forest in the village of Tapang Semadak in Subdistrict of Sekadau Hilir, Sekadau Regency. The research findings show that there are six forms of local wisdom in preserving the forest i.e. prohibition on felling / stealing trees in the forest, prohibition on taking or killing animals, prohibition on opening the customary forest for farming, myth/belief about bunyik (ghost), traditional rituals of badarak, maintaining good attitude and speech. STUDI LAJU KONSUMSI UMPAN RAYAP COPTON 0.5 RB DALAM PENGENDALIAN RAYAP COPTOTERMES CURVIGNATHUS HOLMGREN PADA PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT ELAEIS GUINEENSIS JACQ
Oil palm plantations in West Kalimantan are located in an area dominated by peat soils. This condition makes oil palm trees vulnerable to subterranean termite attack. Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren currently has become one of major key pest of oil palm. These termites attack the oil palm trunk, crown, fronds and fruits. Current practice of Termite control in oil palm is by direct spraying chemical pesticides, but this type of treatment proves uneconomical and hostile to the environment. In addition, chemical sprays are ineffective due tothe termite nest is below ground and the pesticide does not reachthe termites inside the nest. Therefore a new paradigm, such as baiting systemwhich the objective for termite colony elimination are needed to control termites in oilpalm plantation. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Copton 0.5 RB containing the active ingredient hexaflumuron 0.5% to control Coptotermes curvignathus in oil palm plantation at mature oil palm. Four blocks of an oil palm plantation with severe termite damage was chosen as test site. In each block consisted of four oil palm trees and one bait was place at one tree within each block. Monitoring was conducted every seven days for one month, and after that bait consumption and colony elimination were analyzed. The results showed average bait consumption value was 96.87%.The bait consumption activities start from seven days after installation. 1st monitoring showed good palatability that the termites consumed 13 from 16 baits. The consumption began to decline at the end of the fourth week. It was assumed that the baits were eliminatethe termite colony. The decline in termite attack in the oil palm trees was first observed with drying of the termite shelter tubes and by no termites inside the oil palm fronds. It is concluded that Copton0.5RB (hexaflumuron 0.5%) is effective for colony elimination of Coptotermescurvignathusin oil palm plantations. PENGARUH FREKUENSI PEMBERIAN DAN DOSIS PUPUK ORGANIK AIR TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN INDEKS MUTU BIBIT GAHARU (AQUILARIA MALACCENSIS LAMK) DI PERSEMAIAN
Aquilaria malaccensis Lamk is one of the agarwood-producing plants have high economic value and low populations in the natural forest. Since 2004 CITES sets of this type in Appendix II and the needed multiplication of the species. This study aimed to obtain information about the frequency and dosage which was optimum for the growth of seedlings of A. malaccensis. Giving of liquid organic fertilizer is expected to increase the growth and Seedling Quality Index (SQI) A. malaccensis. This research was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors, namely the frequency of fertilizer (a1: 10 days, a2: 15 days and a3: 20 days) and dozis of fertilizers (b0: 0 cc / l of water, b1: 2.5 cc / l of water, b2: 5 cc / l of water and b3: 7.5 cc / l of water). Parameters measured were height, leaf number, diameter, fresh weight and dry weight of seedlings. The results showed that the frequency and dosage of fertilizers provide a good influence on the growth of seedlings of A. malaccensis and same with the seed quality index. The frequency of the best fertilizer is 10 days (a1) with a dose of fertilizer 2.5-5 cc / l of water (b1 and b2). Keywords : Aquilaria malaccensis, liquid organic fertilizer, agarwood
PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT PERKOTAAN TERHADAP PENTINGNYA FUNGSI RUANG TERBUKA HIJAU (RTH) DI KOTA PONTIANAK
The grew of urban communities caused the needs of population increased and followed by increasing of facilities and infrastructure for balenced the fulfillment of urban comunities. And this cause the shift of vegetation in urban areas, so that the vegetation cover were decreases. This study aimed to observe the area of green open space in Pontianak and analyze public perception of the importance of the function of urban green open space in Pontianak, this research is expected to help the government to manage of green open space (RTH) in Pontianak, and provide information to the public about the importance function of the green open space in Pontianak, and can be used as material for further research. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive survey method by interview and questionnaire tools. Sampling was done by purposive sampling (random sampling with the desired state) by 90 respondents that representing 10% of the 857 households. The result of the reseach can be concluded the public perception may be the potential success of program development and management of green open space in Pontianak. Community participation in the management and development of green open space is very important. This effort to prevent irregularities utilization of space. SIKAP MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PENETAPAN AREAL KERJA HUTAN DESA DI DESA NANGA BETUNG KECAMATAN BOYAN TANJUNG KABUPATEN KAPUAS HULU
In this research, which led to the positive people’s atittude tovillage forest of working area designation is the high level of public knowledge about the forest villages so that they know and understand about the function and benefits of village forest. this is evidenced at the time of the study, the villagers nanga betung very cooperative and willing to be invited discussion on the village forest. People who have a view or a good opinion of the importance of the activities of village forest will be positive perception about the functions and benefits of forest villages, public perception of the policy village forest of working area designation and public perception of management institutional of village forest compared to people who have a perception of neutral and negative. The knowledge that they can be through outreach and facilitation of village forest, accompanied by the Forestry Service and the NGO / LSM, leaflets by relevant agencies, and other sources so that they understand about the village forest of working area designation. From the discussion to the respondents, in general perceive that management institutions of village forest which have LPHD (Lembaga Pengelola Hutan Desa). That is, unconsciously people already perceive that the village forest is managed for a purpose because there is managers of institution. They are also involved in the preparation of strategic plans in the coming 1-5 years. Respondents who answered neutral and negative that the person concerned is a citizen who is not involved in LPHD or do not feel part of LPHD. ASOSIASI FUNGI MIKORIZA ARBUSKULA (FMA) DENGAN TANAMAN BUDIDAYA DI AREAL BEKAS TAMBANG EMAS
After gold mining, community usedtailing for cultivation. The purpose of this study were to determined the association of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), the genus of AMF and the roots infection of AMF of plants cultivated on tailing. This study used survey methods with purposive sampling. Soil samples were collected five points in a depth of 10cm on the rhizosphere eight species of plants. The results shows that the average of spores density is variate. The highest of spore density is Musa paradisiaca with an average of 1,057 spores, follow by Hevea Brazilliensis with an average of 841 spores, Ipomoea batatas with an average of 586 spores, Saccharum officinarum with an average of 431 spores, Solanum mologena with an average 345 spores, Capsicum frutescens with an average of 214 spores and Anthocephalus cadamba with an average of 107 spores. While the lowest is Carica papaya with an average of 56 spores. There are 2 genus of AMF spores per 100 grams of soil, they are genus Glomus with an average of 426 spores and Gigaspora with an average of 7 spores. AMF infection in the plant roots is a medium level to high level. Three species are in a medium level of AMF infection (36,67%) there are HeveaBrazilliensis, Ipomoea batatasand Carica papaya. While five species are in a high level there are Musa paradisiaca with an average of 73.33%,Solanum mologena with an average of 70%, Anthocephalus cadambawith an average of 60%, then Capsicum frutescens and Saccharum officinarum with an average of 53.33%. STUDI POTENSI BIOMASSA DAN KARBON PADA TEGAKAN HUTAN DI KPHP MODEL SUNGAI MERAKAI KABUPATEN SINTANG PROVINSI KALIMANTAN BARAT
The purpose of this research was to estimate biomass and carbon stored in the forest unit management of KPHP to know its potency to adsorb atmospheric CO2 gas and comply with standart from IPCC recomendation in the Model Forest Production Management Unit S. Merakai Sintang Regency. Method of inventory is “non destructive sampling at Above Ground Baiomass pool”, placement stand the sample plot is purposive sampling based on 2012 land cover image of Landsat ETM 7+ stratificated year 2012 BPKH Wilayah III Pontianak dided. KPHP Model S. Merakai Sintang Regency was founded by Minister of forestry decree number : SK. 791/MENHUT-II/2009, Desember, 7th, 2009. The result of this research four class sample of land cover: Primary Forest with the average biomass 363,82 ton /Ha and carbon stored 234,54 ton C/Ha, Secondary Forest with the average biomass 499,02 ton/Ha and carbon stored 171,00 ton C/Ha, Secondary Swamp Forest with the average biomass 451,91 ton /Ha and carbon stored 212,40 ton C/Ha, bush shrub with the average biomass 17,79 ton/Ha and carbon stored 8,63 ton C/Ha. STUDI KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS KANTONG SEMAR (NEPENTHES SPP) DI KAWASAN HUTAN BUKIT BELUAN KECAMATAN HULU GURUNG
This research was conducted in order to determine Nepenthes species diversity that exist in the area of Forest Hill Beluan Kapuas Hulu. While the benefits of the research are expected to provide basic information about the existence of the types of pitcher plants. This study uses a field survey techniques with a single swath method, laying swath done intentionally, to locations in peat areas and areas ultisol. Observation plot size of 40 x 40 m, which plots the observations made into a continuous plot measuring 20 x 20 m. From the research, there are 3 types of pitcher plants Nepenthes gracillis ie, Nepenthes Nepenthes mirabilis Druce and rafflesiana Jack, the number of species Nepenthes 296 individuals, the type most commonly found are Nepenthes gracillis. The calculation of peat found two types consisting of 49 individuals and the land ultisol found 3 types consisting of 247 individuals.
