KEARIFAN LOKAL MASYARAKAT DUSUN I DAN II DESA NUSAPATI DALAM PENGELOLAAN HUTAN MANGROVE
The increasing of deforestation cause community awareness to sustain the forest especially in Nusapati Village, through local wisdom. It can prevent the occurrence of violations that contribute to deforestation. Therefore, the purpose of study was to know the characteristics of the society (age, education, occupation, gender, and religion) and the role of local wisdom in the management of mangrove forests in hamlets I and II of the Nusapati Village. This study was conducted for 2 weeks. The method in this study was the survey. The determination of sample used the purposive sampling with interview technique. The data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the management of mangrove forests by Nusapati community did not apply unwritten rules but apply a written rules as local wisdom. An unwritten rules in the Nusapati community included the Tolak Bala rituals and habits such as a decision making to be discussed, so it could solve the problems. EFEKTIVITAS BIOATRAKTAN DARI BAHAN ALAMI TERHADAP RAYAP TANAH (Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren)
The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of the mixture of eucalyptus leaf extract 0,01%, degraded pine wood, official waste paper, and cardboard waste as bioattractant against subterranean termites Coptotermes curvignathus and to know the effectiveness composition of the bait as a bioattractant against subterranean termites Coptotermes curvignathus. The examination was done with 2 methods, no choice test and multiple choice test. The observation including weight loss of test sample and termite mortality. Results showed that type of bait has significant different to weight loss in both no choice test and multiple choice. The highest value of weight loss in no choice test was noted at the composition of degraded pine wood + official waste paper + cardboard waste + eucalyptus leaf extract 0,01%, with a value of 10,7685% and the lowest value of weight loss was noted at the composition of official waste paper, with a value of 1,3642%. The highest value of weight loss in multiple choice test was recorded at composition of degraded pine wood + official waste paper + cardboard waste + eucalyptus leaf extract 0,01%, with value of 9,3863% and the lowest value of weight loss was at with composition of official waste paper + cardboard waste, with value of 0,8783%. Types of bait are also significantly different to termite mortality. The highest value of termite mortality was noted at sample with composition of degraded pine wood + official waste paper + cardboard waste + eucalyptus leaf extract 0,01%, with value of 51,3333% and the lowest termite mortality was at sample with composition of degraded pine wood + official waste paper + cardboard waste, with value of 22%. Bait formulation of degraded pine wood + official waste paper + cardboard waste + eucalyptus leaf extract 0,01% effective as bioattractant against Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren.Keywords: Baiting method, Bioattractant, Coptotermes curvignathus, Maleuca leucadendra, Pinus merkusii
PENGARUH WAKTU INOKULASI Trichoderma sp. DAN FUNGI MIKORIZA ARBUSKULA (FMA) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT MANGGIS (Garcinia Mangostana L.)
Mangosteen is an annual plant whose vegetative growth such as roots, stems and leaves runs very slowly. To spur the growth of mangosteen used biological agents Trichoderma sp. and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi. The combination of Trichoderma sp. and FMA can accelerate plant growth, root development, and increase nutrients, but not yet known when the inoculation of Trichoderma sp. which is effective on morphorous soils that can increase the growth of mangosteen plants. This study aims to obtain the infuence of inoculation time Trichoderma sp. and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (FMA) are effective in improving the growth of mangosteen seeds. This study was designed in RIL (Completely Randomized Design) with the treatment : without Trichoderma and FMA (W0), FMA inoculation without Trichoderma (W2), Trichoderma inoculation together with FMA (W3), Trichoderma inoculation 3 days after inoculation of FMA (W4), and Trichoderma inoculation 7 days after inoculation of FMA (W5). Each treatment was repeated five times so that there were 30 experimental units. The observed variables were height (cm) and plant diameter (mm), number of leaf buds, and FMA colonization at root (%). Maintenance conducted is watering and weeding. The results showed that the parameters of treatment time of inoculation Trichoderma sp. and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi have no significant effect on the growth of height, diameter and number of leaf buds. This is because the research time is relatively short. JENIS POHON PENGHASIL BUAH-BUAHAN KONSUMSI DI TEMBAWANG DUSUN TIGA DESA DESA TIRTA KENCANA KECAMATAN BENGKAYANG KABUPATEN BENGKAYANG
Tembawang forest is a former long house area that is overgrown by various types of fruit tree. The plants producing fruits forest is one of very infortant natural potential for local comunity because they have many benefits for instance to consumption and other needs. The purpose of this research is to record morphological traits and to do inventory kinds of the plants producing fruits is located at Tembawang forest in Tiga Desa village. There are two methods used in this research they are survey in field and interview. According to result of two methods have been done in Tembawang forest then it found there were 16 kinds of fruits crop at 6 lanes of observation were found 33 swath, and numbers of individual 313 individuals. Index shows that there are two kinds of the plants producing fruits and many found in Tembawang forest they are durian (Durio kutejensis Hassk. Becc) of the family Malvaceae and rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis Muell.Arg) from the family Euphorbiaceae. Keywords : Forest Tembawang, Producing fruits, Tirta Kencana Village
MORFOLOGI PASAK BUMI (Eurycoma spp) DI DUSUN BENUAH KABUPATEN KUBU RAYA KALIMANTAN BARAT
Pasak bumi is an Indonesian endemic plants and just grow in Sumatera and Kalimantan. This study aimed to know how the morphology of pasak bumi by measuring of radiks, folium, caulis and flos. The method of this study were observing the radiks (radiks system, size, type), caulis (type, size, colour), folium (total of folium compositum, totally long of folium compositum, rachis, totally of foliolum, and foliolum observed are circumscriptio, apex folii, basis folii, nervatio or venatio, margo folii, intervenium, colour, and surface), and flos (totally flos, calyx, sepal, statemen, tassel, female flowers). The results showed that the pasak bumi have grow in Dusun Benuah Kabupaten Kubu Raya West Kalimantan is a rarely shrubs or treelets and a spesies of Eurycoma longifolia Jack. Characteristic of Pasak bumi are 140 cm height, and 0,54 cm diameter. The caulis colour is brown to grey and monopodial. Folium compositum is imparipinnate, circumscriptio is ovate-lanceolate to obovate-lanceolate, apex folii is subacute or acute to acuminate, margo folii is integer. The flos of pasak bumi is inflorescentia ramosa panicula, panicles axillary, which has 46 flowers. The radiks of pasak bumi is a radix primaria. PERMINTAAN KONSUMEN REKREASI ALAM OBJEK WISATA PANTAI PULAU DATOK KABUPATEN KAYONG UTARA
Tourism Object Coast Datok Island is one of the leading tourist attraction found in Kayong Utara District. The purpose of this study to determine the level of consumer demand, the ratio of travel costs between Datok Island Beach and Air Pauh. The data were collected for ± 4 weeks in the field. The method used is interview technique with quesioner tool. Sampling was done by accidental sampling and the number of samples were 60 respondents. The result of the research shows that the level of consumer demand is low (66.67%) only visit 1-2 times / month this is because the visitors are dominated by local residents with distance of living not far from Datok Island Beach. IDENTIFIKASI JENIS POHON FAMILI DIPTEROCARPACEAE DI KAWASAN ARBORETUM SYLVA UNIVERSITAS TANJUNGPURA PONTIANAK
Dipterocarpaceae is one of trees that inhabits in Indonesia forest. Dipterocarpaceae has various types and is grouped in nine genus. The research work aimed to find out characteristics of morphology of Dipterocarpaceae in area of Arboretum Sylva University of Tanjungpura Pontianak. The research work employed exploration method by searching around types of ecosystem or types of vegetation of this plant. Based on identification finding, there were 31 species out of 6 genus of Dipterocarpaceae family. Shorea is genus that has the biggest number of species that is 24 species, while Cotylelobium and Hopea genus have 2 species, and Anisoptera, Dipterocarpus and Dryobalanops genus have 1 species. KEHILANGAN BIOMASSA GAMBUT AKIBAT KEBAKARAN HUTAN
Peat land is a wetland / water-saturated area composed of organic soil material, namely the remains of plants and plant tissue decaying with a thickness of more than 50cm comprising organic materials, either with a thickness of more than 45cm or layered together with mineral soil with thickness of 80cm and have a thick layer of organic material is more than 50cm. Peat serves as a repository of highest carbon reserve after a very large tree. Additionally peat has a role in the ecosystem of peatlands both in terms of hydrology, conservation of wildlife and vegetation. Kuala Dua Village in Kubu Raya has a fairly extensive peatlands with a depth of 1-4 meters. Fire is a phenomenon that often occurs in Kuala Dua Village including peat fires. The fires emit carbon that contribute to the increase of greenhouse gases (GHGs) into the atmosphere. So there is a need to do research on "Measuring the Loss of peat Biomass in the area of peat fires in Kuala Dua Village, Kubu Raya Regency". This study aims to measure the content of peat biomass lost due to forest fire in the village of Kuala Dua Raya campus. The method used was a survey method, and to determine the location of the observations was done intentionally (purposive sampling) with the measurement plot. In total there were 10 sampling plots with a size of 5m2 / plot and has 25 subplots / plots with a size of 1m2. Identification of the amount of peat biomass loss was done by measuring the distance from the peat surface of the sampling plot based on the volume of burnt peat method by Agus, et al (2011). The total volume of peat burnt in research plots was calculated in the amount of 39.14 kg / m3 with changes the depth of peat soil surface. The decrease was an average reduction of around 0.621m peat surface. The amount of peat biomass loss due to forest fires during research in the peat area of Kuala Dua Village amounted to 3379.47 kg / m3.Keywords : Carbon Emissions, Forest Fires, Peat Biomass and Kuala Dua Villag
PERTUMBUHAN Aquilaria spp DENGAN PEMBERIAN PUPUK KANDANG DAN MULSA DI TANAH ULTISOL PADA LAHAN TERBUKA
In the first phase of planting, Aquilaria spp. can only grow in the shade because these plants have semitoleren properties. This condition makes the Aquilaria spp difficult to grow in open fields. Thus, this research was conducted with the treatment of manure and mulch. This research aims to investigate the influence of manure and mulch on the growth of Aquilaria spp. which is planted on ultisol soil in open fields. The research was carried out in an experiment fields of Tanjungpura University in Desa Pak Laheng, Toho sub district, Mempawah region. The research was done until the plant reached the age of 3 months, using a factorial experiment with randomised block design. The treatment started from plants treated without fertilizer (P0), plants with 500-gram fertilizer (P1), and plants treated with 1000-gram fertilizer (P2), as well as with the second factor on plants without mulch (M1) and plants treated with mulch (M2). The results showed that manure gave a clear influence towards height accretion, leaf accretion, and the increase in diameter. Meanwhile, mulch only gave influences towards the increase of diameter. The interaction of both treatments did not give any influence on the growth of Aquilaria spp. Keywords: Aquilaria spp, manure and mulch, ultisol soil and open field
KEANEKARAGAMAN FUNGI MIKORIZA ARBUSKULA PADA RIZOSFER VEGETASI TEMBAWANG SUALAM KECAMATAN MANDOR KALIMANTAN BARAT
The aim of this research is to find out the diversity of AMF (Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi) species that grow on tembawang Sualam vegetation in the Landak District of West Kalimantan. Sampling was conducted using a survey method with purposive sampling technique. Primary data included the number of spores, spore types, and infection AMF in the example root, while secondary data includes pH, temperature, soil temperature, air humidity, diameter, and height. The observation of the spores in soil samples revealed 6253 spores which consisted of nine types / spore types, 1,329 spores of Glomus sp. 1; 478 spores of Glomus sp. 2; 519 spores of Glomus sp. 3; 549 spores of Glomus sp. 4; 930 spores of Glomus sp. 5; 73 spores of Glomus sp. 6; 718 spores of Glomus sp. 7; 688 spores Acaulospora sp. 1 and 969 spores Acaulospora sp. 2. AMF colonization on the roots of the vegetation sungkut tu'ut (Oroxylum indicum), rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum), tan (Lansium domesticum), jengkol (Archidendron pauciflorum) and rubber (Hevea braziliensis) showed that a fifth of these plants gives host to AMF. Rubber and rambutan showed a low rate of colinization, sungkut tu’ut and jengkol at moderate rates, with tan showing the highest rates of colinization. Diversity spores in the rhizosphere vegetation tembawang included low to moderate categories with the spread of spores and similarities in the rhizosphere sungkut tu'ut and tan more equally than the three other plant species. The composition of spores varied between species with only sungkut tu’ut and tan showing similar compositions of dominate spores. Keyword: Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi, Biodiversity, Tembawan
