It is of importance to make payments contactless regarding hygiene rules, especially in shopping under new normal principles. It is expected that this will increase credit card use. Based on this, the aim of the study is to determine the demographic, economic and environmental factors affecting the use of credit card. In this study, the data carried out by the Turkish Statistical Institute were used. Binary logistic regression and binary probit regression analyzes were administered under discrete choice analysis to specify the factors affecting the household credit card use status. The analysis results showed that the factors, such as gender, marital status, educational background, age, household size, employment status, income, expenditure, financial assets, saving, online shopping, and questionnaire year were effective on the credit card use attitudes of households. Determining the effects and effect sizes of these has contributed to explain the attitude of credit card use and has guided decision-makers and policymakers to transform the use of credit cards for contributing to the economy
The Effect of Technological Innovation on Co2 Emissions in OECD Countries: Using Panel Regression
In this study, we are trying to find out that the environmental changes that are taking place due to the impact of CO2 have a negative impact on the environment of the (OECD) countries. And our goal is to see if technology changes and developments in general have an impact on the environment and how countries' environments can be cleaned up because of technology developments, that work as an organization for this purpose. So, we rely on ways to achieve our results as well as using (Panel regression). And based on data from several countries. We used this model (CADF, ADF, DF, GDP, GDP2, PATENT, INV, RE, TE). We found out the effect of the development of patents (Technological innovation) on CO2 emissions is positive, indicating that technological innovation is not worthwhile for the mitigation of carbon emissions in the selected (OECD) countries

Sales Increasing Strategies Based on Menu Item Performance: Case of a Luxury Restaurant
As one of the food and beverage cost control tools in the restaurant industry, menus can inform service providers about the restaurant's performance and assist them in developing sustainable sales-increasing strategies through appropriate analysis techniques. Since menu item activities have an important role in the profitability of the restaurant, the goal of the current study is to determine these activities through Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and to propose sustainable sales enhancing strategies according to menu management stages. Accordingly, data of 166 menu items in 6 food groups (soups, appetizers and salads, hot starters, pan dishes and main courses, rice and pasta, desserts) in the menu of a luxury restaurant for December 2020 operating in Antalya were included in DEA. Performance of the menu items in six different food groups in the menu was analyzed by determining selling price, fixed costs and variable costs as input variables, while popularity and gross profit are used as output ones. Results imply that the most efficient food group was soups, while pan and main dishes were those with the lowest activity levels. Following the study results, the strategies to be considered in increasing the menu performance according to the menu management stages depending on the menu item efficiency were proposed. Paper concludes with some useful recommendations to the service providers and practitioners
The Impact of Turkey's Natural Gas Distribution Tender Process on the Current Deficit
The main factors that increase the energy demand of countries are the rate of ownership of energy resources and their level of development. Since Turkey is a developing country and does not have sufficient energy resources, it is a net foreign-dependent country in energy. In this study, the factors that increase the natural gas demand in Turkey due to the neo-liberal economic policies implemented in the recent period and the effects of the increasing demand on the balance of payments are examined. Turkey's natural gas distribution tenders in recent years have further increased the foreign dependency ratio in energy, which is already at a high level. To make the economic development sustainable, it is of great importance to ensure the current account balance, which is the most important item in the balance of foreign payments. The demand for natural gas, which is one of the most important import items of Turkey, which aims to develop in the economy, cannot be met by domestic resources, so the balance of payments is adversely affected. With this study, it has been revealed that there is a causal link between the increasing natural gas demand in our country and the current account deficit, which cannot be closed
