    Get PDF
In this study, the integration process of lean production techniques into mass catering production has been investigated, and this integration process has been modeled based on the current conditions of a catering firm using traditional production methods. The main steps of the study consist of literature review, data collection, model formation, and comparative analysis. The model was developed based on data collected from a catering company that has been able to integrate some lean production techniques into its production process and obtained from literature review. In the model, approximately 64 m2 of idle space was identified in the operation, workflow arrangements negatively affecting labor productivitiy were made, and recommendations were provided to reduce high inventory levels. In the comparative analysis stage, the production costs of two businesses were compared by ratioing production volume and labor capacity

Estimating the Effect of Smoking and Alcohol Consumption on Health Expenditures by Spectral Causality Approach: Evidence from The Turkish Case

    Get PDF
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of smoking and alcohol use on health expenditures in Turkey. For this purpose, the spectral Granger causality approach was used and the data set were collected from the OECD stat website for the period 1990 and 2019. According to the first finding, there is a strong causality between smoking and alcohol use and health expenditure, specifically in the 0, 0.5 domains, and supports the existence of bidirectional causality. Secondly, while there was a unidirectional causality from alcohol to health, this causality was found to be stronger in the following years. The last finding surprisingly revealed that tobacco use was not the Granger cause of health expenditures, whereas reverse causality was only supported in the domains of 0 and 2.

    Get PDF
In this study it is aimed to reveal how brands' omnichannel integration quality, omnichannel credibility and perceived innovativeness influence consumers’ omnichannel adoption and to reveal the mediating role of perceived omnichannel value on this effect. Also, it examines the omnichannel usage in tourism, banking, clothing and furniture sectors. For this purpose, the data obtained by sending an online questionnaire via social media applications and via email to 411 people from different cities and having different demographic characteristics were analyzed by SEM method. According to the results of the analysis, a relationship was found between omnichannel integration quality, omnichannel credibility and perceived brand innovativeness. In addition, it was concluded that perceived omnichannel value has a mediating role in the effect of omnichannel credibility and brand innovativeness variables on the omnichannel adoption variable, while it does not have a mediating role in the effect of the omnichannel integration quality variable on the omnichannel adoption variable. It is thought that this study and the results obtained are important in terms of being a guide in theory and practice, since the variables in the study are related to the use of omnichannel in the product and service purchasing processes of consumers

Accordingly, data has been obtained from 485 healthcare professionals in the public and private sectors by survey method and independent sample T Test and One-Way ANOVA Tests have been carried out with validity, reliability, normality, correlation, multiple regression analyses for this data. As a result of the analyses carried out; a negatively significant relationship has been found between PO and PT and a 1-unit increase in PO has been found to cause a decrease of 0.410 units on PT. However, it has been concluded that the level of PT in single employees is higher than that of married employees, PT is higher in private sector workers than in public sector workers, and in employees under 21, compared to those aged 21-40 and 41-60, and as the duration of work experience and monthly income level increases, PT decreases gradually
