Surface modification of formed plates from tough polystyrene (HIPS) using plasma technologies
No full textDiplomová práce řeší problematiky povrchové hydrofilizace desek tvářených z houževnatého polystyrenu (HIPS) za použití plazmových technologií - atmosférického plazmatu za použití pracovních plynů (stlačený vzduch, Ar, O2 a N) a PVD DC magnetronové naprašování. Práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení různých účinků ovlivňující úhel smáčivosti povrchu a metody využívaných k změně úhlu smáčení u polymerních materiálů. PVD povlakováním byly vytvořeny čtyři série tenkých vrstev za použití prvků: titan, křemík, zirkonium, nikl, dále pak slitina měďi se stříbrem. U nanesených tenkých vrstev PVD technologii se hodnotila jejich adheze k podkladu a odolnost ve vodném prostředí. Modifikace povrchu atmosférickým plazmatem se prováděla pomocí dvou způsobů nanášení s různými výkony plazmatu a sledoval se vliv pracovních plynů: vzduch, vzduch + argon, vzduch + kyslík, vzduch + dusík. U modifikace plazmatem se hodnotila časová stálost modifikace a změna výsledné porozity materiálu. U všech modifikovaných povrchů se hodnotil úhel smáčivosti, tribologické vlastnosti a změnu výškových parametrů drsnosti povrchu.The thesis focuses on dealing with the problems of surface hydrophilization of plates formed from high impact polystyrene (HIPS) using plasma technologies - atmospheric plasma with working gases (compressed air, Ar, O2 and N) and PVD DC magnetron sputtering. The work focuses on the evaluation of various factors affecting the surface wettability and the methods used to change the wetting angle in polymeric materials. Four series of thin films were created by PVD coating using these elements: titanium, silicon, zirconium, nickel, and a copper-silver alloy. The adhesion to the substrate and resistance in water environment were evaluated for the thin films deposited by PVD technology. The modification of the surface by atmospheric plasma was carried out using two deposition methods with different plasma powers and the influence of working gases was monitored: air, air + argon, air + oxygen, air + nitrogen. For plasma modification were evaluated the time stability of the modification and the change in the resulting material porosity. For all modified surfaces, the wetting angle, tribological properties and change in surface roughness height parameters were evaluated

No full textBakalářská práce se zabývá převodem inspirace tématiky indiánských národů Severní Ameriky v době kolonizace do kolekce současných oděvů.Rešeršní část studuje nuceně dobrovolný odsun indiánských národů a pocity tíhy a smutku člověka spojené s odchodem z domova. Další náměty pro studium jsou čerpány z oblasti streetwearu v New Yorku. Cílem je propojení dobových oděvů původních obyvatel Severní Ameriky 18. až 19. století a promítnutí prvků jejich historie do současnosti streetwearu. Výsledkem je třídílná kolekce ucelených oděvů inspirovaných životem původních národů Severní Ameriky. V kolekci je použitá technika ručního tkaní na rámu, která je doplněna o experimentální část vkládaných korálků.This bachelor's thesis explores the translation of inspiration drawn from the Indigenous peoples of North America during the colonial period into contemporary fashion.The research section focuses on the forced and voluntary displacement of Native American tribes and the associated emotions of loss and sorrow linked to leaving one's homeland. Additional inspiration is drawn from the streetwear culture of New York City.The aim of the thesis is to connect the traditional garments of Native American communities from the 18th and 19th centuries with modern streetwear, integrating historical elements into contemporary fashion expression.The outcome is a three-piece collection of cohesive outfits inspired by the lives of North America's Indigenous peoples. The collection incorporates frame loom weaving techniques, enhanced by experimental applications of beadwork embedded into the materials

a aktuálním přístupům k udržitelné silniční dopravě. Analytická část přináší rozbor procesu v představené dopravní společnosti včetně popisu jeho řízení v návaznosti na uvedené normy. Součástí je rovněž analýza udržitelnosti dle principů ESG. Na základě zjištěných skutečností jsou navržena opatření podporující odpovědný rozvoj v souladu s požadavky na udržitelné podnikání.The bachelor's thesis entitled "Management of the Selected Process in Services" focuses on the area of transport and forwarding management in a selected company. The aim of the thesis is to propose specific measures to improve the operation, with particular emphasis on sustainability aspects. To achieve this objective, an analysis of the current situation and the identification of its shortcomings is carried out. The theoretical part provides an overview of transport-related matters relevant to business operations, management systems according to ISO standards, and current approaches to sustainable road transport. The analytical part provides an analysis of the process in the presented transport company, including a description of its management in relation to the mentioned standards. It also includes a sustainability analysis according to ESG principles. Based on the findings, recommendations are proposed to support responsible development in line with sustainable business requirements
Development of a language model for text vectorization

český jazyk, určeného k vektorizaci textu v rámci metody Retrieval-
-Augmented Generation (RAG). Cílem práce bylo navrhnout a natrénovat model, který umožní efektivní převod vstupních textových
dotazů a dokumentů do vektorového prostoru, a tím zlepšit proces
vyhledávání informací. Navržený model vychází z předtrénované architektury XLM-RoBERTa-base typu transformer, která byla dále
doladěna (fine-tuned) na českých datech, včetně vlastního datasetu
vytvořeného pro účely této práce. Experimentální část se zaměřuje
na výběr základního modelu, úpravu hyperparametrů a přípravu
trénovacích dat. Dosažené výsledky byly porovnány s alternativními přístupy běžně používanými pro podobné úlohy, přičemž navržený model dosáhl lepší přesnosti. V závěrečné části práce je model
integrován do webové aplikace pro vektorizaci dokumentů v rámci
techniky RAG, čímž je ověřena jeho praktická použitelnost.This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a language model for
Czech, which is designed for text vectorization within the Retrieval-
-Augmented Generation (RAG) method. The aim of the thesis was
to design and train a model that will enable efficient conversion of
input text queries and documents into vector space, thus improving
the information retrieval process. The proposed model is based on
the pre-trained XLM-RoBERTa-base transformation architecture,
which was further tuned on Czech data, including a custom dataset
created for the purpose of this work. The experimental part focuses
on the selection of the base model, the adjustment of the hyperparameters and the preparation of the training data. The results obtained were compared with alternative approaches commonly used
for similar tasks, with the proposed model achieving higher accuracy. In the final part of the work, the model is integrated into a web
application for document vectorization within the RAG technique,
thus verifying its practical applicabilit

No full textDiplomová práce je zaměřena na vytvoření dámské oděvní kolekce, která se skládá ze čtyřech kompletních oděvů. Práce se zabývá tématem Stíny pouště a navazuje na předešlou bakalářskou práci. Diplomová práce se věnuje vizuálnímu i symbolickému vyjádření ženskosti prostřednictvím kontrastů materiálů a inspirací pouštním prostředím. Práce se zaměřuje na výtvarné zpracování kontrastu mezi hutností a lehkostí, pevností a průsvitností, s důrazem na ženskou siluetu, křehkost i sílu. Inspirací je poušť - její členitost, hra světla a stínu, struktura písku a monumentalita. Zároveň práce čerpá inspiraci z afrických tradičních kultur a řemeslných zpracování. V oděvech se propojuje transparentní tyl s těžší, často členěnou usní, jejichž sešívání odkazuje k mapování pouštního povrchu a pohybu stínu v krajině. Sešívání materiálů zároveň odkazuje na tradiční africké řemesla. Doplňujícím prvkem je tradiční arabská tkanina Abaya, která kolekci vkládá symbol kulturní vrstvy a zároveň zjemňuje useň. Každý z modelů reflektuje jedno z témat souvisejících s pouští - rozpad struktury, vzdušnost, zakrývání i odhalování.The thesis focuses on the creation of a womenswear collection consisting of four complete garments. The thesis deals with the theme of Shadows of the Desert and builds on the previous bachelor thesis. The thesis explores the visual and symbolic expression of femininity through contrasts of materials and inspiration from the desert environment. The thesis focuses on the artistic treatment of the contrast between density and lightness, solidity and translucency, with an emphasis on the female silhouette, fragility and strength. The inspiration is the desert - its ruggedness, the play of light and shadow, the texture of the sand and monumentality. At the same time, the work draws inspiration from African traditional cultures and craftsmanship. The garments combine transparent tulle with heavier, often articulated leather, whose stitching references the mapping of the desert surface and the movement of shadow in the landscape. The stitching of the materials also refers to traditional African crafts. A complementary element is the traditional Arabic Abaya fabric, which adds a symbol of cultural layers to the collection while softening the leather. Each of the designs reflects one of the themes associated with the desert - the breakdown of structure, airiness, concealment and exposure
Automation of microscope measurements for documentation of surface defects of precision optical elements
No full textTato práce se zabývá realizací systému pro automatizované měření mikroskopu za účelem dokumentace povrchových vad přesných optických elementů pro centrum TOPTEC, které je sekcí Ústavu fyziky plazmatu AV ČR. K provedení tohoto úkolu bylo nutné vybrat vhodnou řídicí jednotku pro ovládání jednotlivých os pomocí krokových motorů a možností komunikace s počítačem a její následné zapojení k již existující mechanice posuvů. Ovšem hlavní částí práce je software, který udává pokyny o pozicování. Dále umožňuje komunikaci s jednotkou, manuální ovládání os, automatické skenování čočky, ukládání snímků na disk a obsahuje další ovládací prvky pro správné a bezpečné fungování, například stop tlačítko.This thesis focuses on the implementation of a system for automated microscope measurement aimed at documenting surface defects of precision optical elements for the TOPTEC center, a division of the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. To accomplish this task, it was necessary to select a suitable control unit capable of operating individual axes using stepper motors and communicating with a computer, and to integrate it with the existing mechanical system. However, the main part of the work is the software, which provides positioning commands. Furthermore, the software enables communication with the control unit, manual axis control, automatic lens scanning, image saving to disk, and includes additional control elements essential for proper and safe operation, such as an emergency stop button

Dále je představena Saúdská Arábie a její základní charakteristika. Práce zkoumá dopad momentálně probíhající saúdskoarabské Vize 2030 na rozvoj trhu a identifikuje klíčové příležitosti pro podnikatele, kteří zvažují vstup na trh Saúdské Arábie nebo obchodní spolupráci s touto zemí. Cílem je zhodnotit a popsat atributy na základě analýzy a navrhnout praktická doporučení pro přípravu na vstup a navázání vztahů v Saúdské Arábii.This bachelor thesis describes and evaluates the specifics of doing business in Saudi Arabia with emphasis on economic, cultural, political and technological factors and the impact of Vision 2030. The thesis has two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes business, entrepreneurship and intercultural communication, which are key to understanding the issues under study. Futhermore, Saudi Arabia and its basic characteristics are introduced. The thesis examines the impact of the currently ongoing Saudi Vision 2030 on the market development and identifies key opportunities for entrepreneurs considering entering the Saudi market or doing business with the country. Práce se zaměřuje na rodinu jako takovou a na vliv jedince s vícenásobným postižením
na fungování rodiny. S tím souvisí také cíl bakalářské práce, kterým bylo zjistit,
jak péče o dítě s vícenásobným postižením ovlivňuje chod rodiny. V teoretické
části jsou popisována tato témata: rodina, vícenásobné postižení a rodina dítěte
s postižením. V empirické části jsou uvedeny detaily průzkumu, který vycházel z cíle
práce. Průzkumné otázky měly zjistit, jak členové rodiny zvládají každodenní
povinnosti při péči o dítě, jak situace ovlivnila vztahy mezi jednotlivými členy rodiny,
do jaké míry jsou rodiče informováni a jak jim jsou tyto informace podávány.
Pro zjištění odpovědí na průzkumné otázky byly provedeny polostrukturované
rozhovory s třemi matkami dětí s vícenásobným postižením.As the title implies, this bachelor thesis focuses on families of children with multiple
disabilities. The thesis focuses on the family itself and the impact of the individual
with multiple disabilities on family functioning. Related to this is the aim of the thesis,
which was to find out how caring for a child with multiple disabilities affects
the functioning of the family. In the theoretical part the following topics are described:
family, multiple disabilities and family of a child with disabilities. The empirical part
provides details of the research, which was based on the aim of the thesis. The survey
questions were designed to find out how the family members manage their daily
responsibilities in caring for the child, how the situation has affected the relationships
between the family members, to what level the parents are informed and how this
information is given to them. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with three
mothers of children with multiple disabilities to determine their responses
to the research questions
The Use of Manipulatives in Chemistry Education at Lower Secondary School
No full textDiplomová práce se zabývá možnostmi využití manipulativních činností v hodinách chemie na 2. stupni základní školy. V teoretické části jsou manipulativní činnosti s pomůckami zařazeny do pedagogického rámce včetně historického kontextu a zároveň jsou představeny příslušné pedagogické koncepty. Dále se práce zabývá manipulativními činnostmi z pohledu psychologie a souvisejících psychologických směrů s vazbou na teorie učení. V praktické části bylo vytvořeno pět manipulativních pomůcek doplněných metodickými a pracovními listy. Vybrané pomůcky byly testovány v reálné výuce na základních školách. Vliv manipulativních činností na efektivitu výuky chemie byl hodnocen prostřednictvím přímého pozorování realizovaných aktivit a statistického vyhodnocení výsledků evaluačního testu. Žáci, kteří se aktivně účastnili manipulativních činností, dosahovali statisticky významně lepších výsledků než kontrolní skupina, přičemž se ukázalo, že manipulativní činnosti nejvíce podporují porozumění a dlouhodobé uchování konceptuálních znalostí. Reflexe vybraných pomůcek ze strany učitelů byla zajištěna online dotazníkem. Výsledky poukazují na vysoký motivační potenciál, aktivizující charakter těchto činností a celkově pozitivní učitelskou zkušenost, přičemž většina respondentů deklarovala zájem o jejich opakované využití ve výuce.This diploma thesis explores the potential use of manipulatives in chemistry lessons at the lower secondary school level. The theoretical part situates these manipulatives within an educational framework, including their historical context, while also introducing relevant pedagogical concepts. Furthermore, the study examines manipulative activities from a psychological perspective, linking them to learning theories and related psychological approaches. In the practical part, five manipulatives were designed and developed, accompanied by methodological guidelines and worksheets. Selected manipulatives were tested in real classroom settings at lower secondary schools. The impact of manipulative activities on chemistry education was evaluated through direct observation of classroom implementation and statistical analysis of results from an evaluation test. Students engaged in manipulative-based learning achieved statistically significantly better results than those in the control group, with the strongest effects observed in the understanding and retention of conceptual knowledge. Teacher feedback on selected manipulatives was collected via an online questionnaire. The findings highlight a strong motivational potential, the activating nature of manipulative tasks, and an overall positive teacher experience, with most respondents expressing interest in reusing the tools in future teaching
Interactive communication of the NAO robot via remote control
No full textTato zpráva se zabývá navazujícím vývojem aplikace, která umožňuje dálkovou komunikaci pomocí robota NAO. Původní aplikace obsahuje základní funkce jako přenos zvuku, videa a převod textu na řeč. Má avšak mnoho nedostatků, jak v oblastech grafického rozhraní, uživatelské přívětivosti a přenosu multimédií, tak v nedostatečných možnostech neverbální komunikace a ovládání robota.
Výsledkem je nová aplikace, která tyto nedostatky řeší a přidává nové funkce. Byla přepracována od programového modelu, postupu instalace a grafického rozhraní až po kontrolu končetin a světel robota. Bylo přidáno mnoho nových funkcí, jako například hlasový vstup a předpřipravené pohybové a hlasové sekvence. Aplikace byla vyzkoušena v reálném prostředí a je připravena pro fungování na akcích Technické univerzity v Liberci.This report addresses the subsequent development of an application that enables remote communication using the NAO robot. The original application includes basic functions such as audio and video transmission and text-to-speech conversion; however, it has many shortcomings in areas such as the graphical interface, user-friendliness, and multimedia transmission, as well as insufficient options for non-verbal communication and robot control.
The outcome is a new application that addresses these deficiencies and introduces new functionalities. It has been thoroughly redesigned, including the programming model, installation process, and graphical interface, as well as the control of the robot's limbs and lights. Many new features have been added, such as voice input and pre-programmed movement and speech sequences. The application has been tested in a real-world environment and is ready for deployment at events organized by the Technical University of Liberec
