Full text linkAbstract: Sensory Profile, Independence Of Functional Activity, Academic Achievement. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the level of sensory profile with independence of functional activity and academic achievement of Primary School-aged children in Sawahan Village, Ngemplak, Boyolali.This study uses an analytical study design with cross sectional correlation. Sampling collection was done by quota sampling technique against first grade in four primary schools in Sawahan village, Ngemplak, Boyolali.The result of Pearson product moment correlation was obtained p value = 0.000 and (r) = 0.880 for the variable sensory profile - independence , while variable sensory profile - academic achievement obtained p value = 0.029 and (r) = 0.345. Conclusions results of this research is there a relationship between the sensory profile of the independence and academic achievement of first grade Primary School-aged children in the Sawahan village , Ngemplak District, Boyolali. It shows the higher score obtained by children in SSP (child closer to typical performance or is at normal level) either higher the score of independence of the child (the child more independent) and academic achievement is getting better and otherwise.Keywords : Sensory Profile, Independence Of Functional Activity, Academic Achievement

Full text linkAbstract: Functional Capacity Of Nurses And Midwives, Hospital Preparedness For Emergency And Disaster. Indonesia is a country that lies between two major continents and two great oceans. In addition Indonesian territory lies on the line ring of fire that led to a natural phenomenon caused many disasters. Nurses and midwives are the functional element which has a very big role in the hospital. There are some facilities that disaster preparedness is not owned by the hospital as well as the absence of a forum specifically set up and implement management Hospital For Emergency And Disaster Preparedness in an integrated manner. The purpose of this study was to determine the functional capacity of nurses and midwives Hospital of Surakarta in the development of hospital programs for emergency and disaster preparedness. This research is a descriptive study that seeks to explain the preparedness of nurses and midwives in implementing menagemen Hospital For Emergency And Disaster Preparedness integrally artery mean pressure with cross sectional approach through research hypothesis testing. The population was nurses and midwives were 30 samples using descriptive statistical tests. Based on the results of research and discussion, we can conclude that from the results of a study of 30 respondents can be drawn the conclusion that the majority of nurses and midwives have a good knowledge in emergency preparedness. Of the 14 components of the contribution of nurses and midwives obtained several components that felt still less that of the formation of clusters and disaster preparedness team Suggestion. put forward in this study is terehadap education and training of nurses and midwives to improve management capacity in disaster preparedness

Full text linkAbstract : Knowledge, Compliance, Diabetes Mellitus Diet. The purpose of this study was to identify knowledge and compliance to type 2 diabetes diet in diabetic patients in Sibela Public Health Centre Surakarta. Result of this research will be utilized for health education program for type 2 diabetic patients in community. Sample of this research is type 2 diabetic patients by using purposive and snowball sampling. This research also includes health professional such as physician, nutritionist, and senior nurses for data triangulation. Instrumen in this research are net book, tape recorder and semi structure questionnaire to record the data from deep interview. The results show that there is various knowledge and compliance to diabetes diet in diabetic patients in Sibela Public Health Centre Surakarta. Patients have incomplete knowledge about diabetes mellitus. Patients are already well known about signs and symptoms, etiology, treatment, and diabetic complication but they are still uncertain with the number of energy needed and have no diet planning. Diet compliance is still low and patients consume more carbohydrate(>65%) as source of energy. This lack of compliance can be influenced by the low of knowledge that can be resulted from the lack of information and the low of the level education and motivation. Refreshing of diabetes diet, family support and motivation from health professional through effective communication among health professional and family, monitoring nutritional status and appropriate diet is very important.

Full text linkAbstract: Health Education, Demonstration Method, Breastfeeding Ability. This study aims to know the effect of health education of the right way to breast-feed with demonstration method toward mothers ability to breast-feed in maternity hospital, Banjarsari, Surakarta. This research is Pre-experimental with the draft of one group pre-post test design. The samples are 30 breastfeeding mothers in maternity hospital in Banjarsari, Surakarta. The measurement conducted twice, before and after they were given counseling with demonstration method. The result the mean of breastfeeding ability before counseling is 61,77 with standard deviation 13,423 and after counseling 95,57 with standard deviation 5,661. The development of the mean of mothers ability before and after counseling is different. It mean p 0,00. There was significant impact between mother’s breastfeeding ability before and after counseling with demonstration method have done.Keyword : Health Education, Demonstration Method, Breastfeeding Ability

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge Nutrition (BTP) Teachers and business school canteens with the use of food additives in food risk children in elementary schools in Surakarta. This type of research is descriptive analytic survey method. The population in this study is Professor and catering manager/ cafeteria in five elementary schools in Surakarta totaling 50 respondens, totaling 34 kinds of food samples. The sampling technique used in this study is a cluster random sampling. The statistical test used is descriptive statistics. The level of knowledge of teachers and canteen manager is; 84% good, and 16% adequate. There is no BTP (methanyl yellow, rodhamin B, borax and formaldehyde) in food dikantin school, and there is a correlation level of knowledge with the use of BTP.Keywords: Knowledge, BTP, Metanyl Yellow, Rodhamin B, Borax, Formalin.

To identify differences in the effectiveness of extracts of catfish and leaves binahong towards healing old wounds sectio caesarea operation on postpartum mothers. There is a difference in the effectiveness of extracts of catfish and leaves binahong towards healing old wounds sectio caesarea operation on postpartum mothers. The study design was Quasi Experimental research design with pretest - posttest nonequivalent control group. The sampling technique was accidental sampling technique. Number of samples 60 puerperal women with puerperal women inclusion criteria primi and multiparous, type transverse incision, wound care treatment and the same. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test with significant value in the study was p<0.05. The average length of the wound healing process operation sectio caesarea in postpartum mothers who consume fish extract the cork is 8 days, binahong leaf extract is 12 days whereas the control group without treatment was 16 days. There are differences in the effectiveness of extracts of catfish and leaves binahong towards healing old wounds sectio caesarea operation in puerperal women with p value 0.013. There are differences in the effectiveness of extracts of catfish and leaves binahong towards healing old wounds sectio caesarea operation at BPM puerperal women in the District of Tulung with p = 0.013 (p <0.05).Keywords: Mother Parturition, Sectio Caesarea, Wound Healing

Full text linkAbstract: Awareness, Early Detection Capabilities And Community Empowerment. This study aims to improve the ability of elderly people in the early detection of degenerative diseases in Posyandu Melati III Tegalrejo, Ceper, Klaten. While the specific purpose of this study was to describe the initial knowledge of early detection of degenerative diseases, describing the changes of knowledge and capacity for early detection of degenerative diseases post-counseling and training. This study used a quasi-experimental research design (quasy-experiment). The data source of this research is a group of elderly Posyandu Bed III Tegalrejo, Ceper, Klaten with the method of selecting sample is total population. The tools used in this study was a questionnaire to evaluate the cognitive, psychomotor aspects SOP to evaluate and extension materials. Results showed that changes in knowledge and capacity for early detection of the elderly against degenerative diseases in Posyandu Melati III Tegalrejo, Ceper, Klaten. This is evident from the test results of paired t-test with a significance value 0.000> 0.05. The provision of health education and training early detection of degenerative diseases can increase knowledge of the initial capital to raise public awareness about the importance of early detection capabilities against degenerative diseases so that the quality and degree of health of the elderly can be optimized. Full text linkAbstract: Fat Thickness, Flexibility Trunks. The purpose of this study to determine the thickness of fat on the trunk flexibility in adolescent girls. Flexibility of the body is a person's ability to perform activities with the widest stretch especially the muscles and ligaments around the joints of the body. The ability of flexibility in the lumbar region known to affect the working system of the human body, especially in conducting activities related to body curvature. Individuals who have a lot of folds of fat in various segments of the body will affect the ability of the flexibility of the trunk. This research method using descriptive correlation between variables. Research instrument with skinfold calliper for fat thickness and finger tip to floor for the trunk flexibility. Test the relationship between the thickness of the fat with the flexibility of the trunk with Spearman p = 0.000 (p <0.05) showed a significant correlation, r = -0,720 with the direction of the negative correlation. Conclusion there is a relationship between the thickness of body fat to the flexibility of the trunk in adolescent daughter.

Full text linkAbstract: Pain Low Back Pain, Lumbar Corset, Back Exercise. Pain is the major complaint that the majority of cases seen in patients with low back pain. This situation has been very disturbing in routine daily activities. The highest incidence of pain is found, the result of abnormal mechanics of motion, or postural abnormalities that lasts for a long time. There are several tools that can be used to reduce pain in low back pain. One means is the use of a corset for the lumbar region (lumbar corset) and perform a back exercise such as muscle strengthening exercises lower back. The study was conducted on patients consisting of mothers of households with children under five with the case, in Karanganyar Fitasoma Physiotherapy Clinic Surakarta, in the period between January to December 2014. This study is a quasi experimental study. The data collection is done by observation, interview, physical examination, and documentation. 40 respondents sought through observation, to be subjects for further research. Based on this research, it was found that the decrease of pain in the first two weeks, either in a group or a group giving a lumbar corset back giving exercise. In addition, also found functional improvements in lumbar corset administration group after the first week, and the provision of back exercise group after the second week.
