Analysis of PPL Implementation in The Prajabatan PPG Program In The Field of Sociology Studies At SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak
This research aims to identify the effectiveness of implementing Field Experience Practices (PPL) in developing the competency of Pre-Service Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) students at SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak. The relevance of this research lies in its contribution to improving the quality of learning in schools and preparing Pre-Service PPG students to become competent teachers and ready to face the dynamics of the world of education. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research population was PPL PPG students in the field of Sociology studies at SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak, the research informants were 3 students. Effective PPL allows students to develop analytical, reflective skills and teacher identity through field interaction, observation and reflection. Even though they face obstacles such as limited schedules, effective communication between students and the school can overcome them. PPL plays an important role in forming competent and professional teachers in the future. Thus, this research provides recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of PPL implementation, including by optimizing communication between students and school officials, arranging flexible schedules, and increasing the availability of facilities at schools. By overcoming these obstacles, it is hoped that the implementation of PPL can run more effectively and efficiently so that students can develop competence as prospective teachers who are ready to face the dynamics of the world of education
The Existence of the Jepin Langkah Loncat Tiung Sembilan Dance in Pontianak
The development of dance continues to advance in line with people's lives. Traditional dances generally experience developments that are influenced by the surrounding community, whether the community is a supporting or inhibiting factor for the dance. One of the traditional dance arts that has developed to date is the Jepin Langkah Loncat Tiung Sembilan dance which is currently developing in Pontianak and its surroundings. The Jepin Langkah Loncat Tiung Sembilan dance is a Jepin Langkah dance that was originally developed in 1932 by an artist named Salim Kudong in Kalimas Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency. In 1947 Salim Kudong taught Jepin Langkah to Mr Yusuf Daiman. Mr. Yusuf Daiman passed it on to the next generation, namely Mr. Sabaruddin, in 1967. Mr. Sabaruddin developed the Jepin Langkah by taking 9 Jepin Langkah that is langkah bujur (pelebat), langkah gersik, langkah sorong dayung, langkah jarum mesin, langkah betiti batang, langkah baki juadah, langkah tak sampai, langkah loncat tiung, dan langkah besikut so that they become one dance known as the Jepin Langkah Loncat Tiung Sembilan dance. This research aims to describe the existence of the Jepin Langkah Loncat Tiung Sembilan dance. This research uses a qualitative method with an ethnochoreological approach. The existence of the Jepin Langkah Loncat Tiung Sembilan dance cannot be separated from the community, researchers, and government who are supporting factors. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors such as people's interest in studying dance traditions still need greater attention
Implementation of Field Experience Practices 1 Pre-Service PPG Batch 2 Year 2023 at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak
This article discusses the professional education program for teachers as educators and teaching staff in order to improve the quality of education and the efforts made to increase this professionalism. This article aims to present the results of the evaluation in the implementation of practical field experience (PPL) 1 for prospective teachers in the 2nd batch of Pre-service PPG students in 2023 at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak which focuses on the experiences, challenges and results of these activities. This research uses a descriptive method qualitative with observation, interviews and documentation instruments. The findings from this research show that the implementation of PPL 1 for Pre-Service PPG students, batch 2 in 2023 at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak went well and resulted in a variety of experiences for prospective teachers. PPL 1 activities at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak will be held from January 15 2024 to March 5 2024. These activities include orientation, observation, teaching assistance, guided learning practices. The results found from this activity were the challenges faced including coordination between educational institutions and partner schools, as well as adaptation obstacles experienced by PPG Pre-service students to the new environment. However, the evaluation results show that the majority of prospective teachers felt a positive impact from this experience and increased their understanding of the professional world as a teacher. In conclusion, the implementation of PPL 1 for PPG Pre-service students in batch 2 in 2023 at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak made a positive contribution in preparation prospective teachers to face their future duties so that continuous efforts are needed to improve the effectiveness of PPL1 implementation to ensure that prospective teachers are truly prepared to face the demands of their profession
Efforts to Counter Radicalism in Sukabumi Regency High Schools
Vulnerability to exposure to radical ideology at the high school age level is increasingly widespread with various strategies that are difficult to detect. Therefore, every effort made to counter radical ideology is very important and valuable. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the counter-radicalism strategies carried out by high schools in Sukabumi district. The approach used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive method. The research was conducted in 5 high schools in 5 parts of Sukabumi Regency. The research was conducted for 6 months, namely from March to August 2023. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation studies. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions and verification. Research findings show that there are various efforts made by senior high schools in Sukabumi district, although these efforts are still universal and have not focused on specific strategies to counter radicalism. These efforts include optimizing child-friendly schools, optimizing student activities at school, religious habituation and strengthening, optimizing P5, training and coaching deputy principals for student affairs, counter-radicalism programs from parties outside the school, insertion through learning, and encouraging students. towards activities related to counter radicalism outside of school
The Relationship Between Work Family Conflict and Performance of Female in The Workplace
The objective of this study is to investigate the correlation between work-family conflict and the performance of female workers. This work employs a quantitative-correlational research methodology. This study distributed a Likert scale questionnaire through the Google Form platform as the data collection method. A correlation coefficient of 0.736 from the Rank Spearman association hypothesis test shows that there is a strong positive relationship between the work-family conflict variable and the performance of female workers. Moreover, the p-value is below 0.05 (particularly 0.037), suggesting a statistically significant association between Variable X (work-family conflict) and Variable Y (performance conflict among female workers). The motivation behind this research stems from the findings of researchers at PT. X, which indicate that married female professionals encounter challenges in balancing their household and public responsibilities
Environmental Literacy: Perception of Prospective Biology Teacher Students on Waste Management in FKIP Untan
This research aims to analyze the perceptions of prospective biology teacher students regarding waste management in the FKIP Tanjungpura University environment. Descriptive methods with a quantitative approach are used to describe the current state of research subjects based on existing facts. The research population consisted of prospective biology teacher students from the 2016, 2017 and 2018 classes, with a sample size of 124 students selected randomly. The research instrument consists of a questionnaire and environmental literacy test questions. The research results show that prospective biology teacher students at FKIP Tanjungpura University have a good perception of waste management, with the majority of students showing positive environmental attitudes and high commitment to environmentally friendly practices. Environmental literacy in this research is explained through three main indicators: environmental knowledge, attitudes and behavior. From the research results, it can be concluded that students show a good understanding of the concept of waste management and awareness of the importance of protecting the ecosystem. In conclusion, this research provides a clear picture of the perceptions of prospective biology teacher students regarding waste management in the campus environment. This collective support from students reflects the importance of environmental literacy in preserving the environment. Efforts to continue to increase environmental understanding and awareness among students can make a positive contribution in creating a generation that cares about the environment in the future
Multicultural Education at SDN 36 Cakranegara (Post-Conflict Study of Two Villages in Mataram City)
This research is descriptive qualitative research which is motivated by the emergence of various conflicts that occur in society. The aim of the research is to find out how multicultural education and multicultural values are implemented at SDN 36 Cakarnegara after the conflict between two villages in Mataram City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data and providing conclusions. The research results show that: post-conflict multicultural education in 36 Cakranegara is carried out through: visits, creating an atmosphere of harmony, modeling, introducing other people's cultures; invite students to imtak activities that apply multicultural values after the conflict at SDN 36 Cakranegara, namely: Values of harmony, cooperation, concord, appreciation, respect, compassion, tolerance, love of the homeland
Gender Equality and the Sedekah Bumi Tradition: A Study of the Karangjong Village Community in Blora Regency
This study aims to analyze the community's perception of gender equality in social activities, with a focus on the *Sedekah Bumi* tradition in Karangjong Village, Ngawen Subdistrict, Blora Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The research participants consist of community members involved in the organization and participation of the *Sedekah Bumi* activities. The results show variations in perceptions of gender roles within the *Sedekah Bumi* tradition. While some believe that the tradition reflects traditional gender roles related to the division of labor based on sex, others observe a shift toward gender equality in participation and contributions to the event. These findings illustrate the complexity of gender dynamics within the context of traditional community activities, which in turn provides insights into the challenges and opportunities for achieving gender equality at the local level. This study contributes to understanding the interaction between local traditions and social change, particularly concerning gender issues
Symbolic Meaning of Traditional of Tumbang Apam, Malay Community, Suhaid Village, Suhaid Sub-district, Kapuas Hulu District
This research aims to analyze the symbolic meaning of the Tumbang Apam Traditional Tradition of the Malay Tribe of Suhaid Village, Suhaid District, Kapuas Hulu Regency. The type of research used qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection used bservation, interviews and documentation. The stages of data analysis include data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification/concluding. The research results show that (1) The process of implementing the Tumbang Apam Traditional Tradition starts from the preparation stage, implementation, to the closing stage. (2) The symbolic meaning contained in each stage in the Tumbang Apam Traditional Tradition starting from the preparation stage such as selecting the place, calling, making the Apam cake to making Tumbang Apam, the implementation stage namely plain flour and Penumbangan Apam, the closing stage is reading prayers and eating together. (3) In its preservation, the Tumbang Apam Traditional Tradition has been passed down from generation to generation by traditional leaders in Suhaid Village, Suhaid District who also collaborate with the community there so that the Tumbang Apam Traditional Tradition in Suhaid Village, Suhaid District is still being carried out to this day
Application of Environmental Care Character Values for Class XI Students at SMAN 13 Surabaya
Human disregard for the environment leads to environmental issues that exacerbate natural disasters. One of the most crucial elements in developing good character in pupils is their lack of recognizing the requirement of defending the environment. In order for nation’s future country, especially the students of SMAN 13 Surabaya, to be good citizens and people of character, they must learn the importance of protecting the environment. Descriptive qualitative research is being conducted to find out how environmentally caring character values are taught to students, how teachers can help students develop these values, and what supports and prevents the application of environmentally caring character values at SMAN 13 Surabaya. Study participants were SMAN 13 Surabaya instructors and students. gathering information through documentation, interviews, and observation. The outcomes proved that the character values of environmental care were successfully implemented for grade XI students at SMAN 13 Surabaya. It is obvious in the ways that it grows in accordance with signs, such as students bringing water bottles from home, riding motorcycles in the morning, and putting trash in the proper location. The teacher's job is to provide an example, instill habits, and provide direction. The involvement of school personnel, the infrastructure and facilities, and the environmental activities' habituation are the supporting aspects.
