Pengaruh penggunaan media sosial terhadap transfer pengetahuan dan kinerja pegawai pemerintahan
PURPOSES: The social media is not only useful for personal or social relationship. The social media has been used widely for work purposes such as in government, business and education. The goal is to transfer knowledge and improve performance. Therefore, the objective of this study is to examine the direct effects of social media utilization on performance and indirect effects through knowledge transfer.
METHODS: The approach of this research is quantitative paradigm. The research data was collected from 100 employees as the study sample. Path analysis is the technique that used to answer the research objectives.
FINDINGS: First, the utilization of social media has a positive and significant effect on knowledge transfer. Second, the utilization of social media has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance. Third, Transfer of knowledge has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Fourth, knowledge transfer mediates the effect of social media utilization on employee performance.

Islamic worldview: Landasan membangun Islamic management model
PURPOSES: The purpose of this research is to explore the principles of Islamic worldview from various sources of Islamic knowledge. The principles expected to be useful for developing a further model of Islamic management.
METHODS: The exploratory research is the approach of this research. The majority of data collected from various Islamic knowledge resources, among others the Qur'an, Hadith, Islamic scholars' thoughts and the research results of Islamic scholars around the world. The meta-synthesis is used to analyze the data of research.
FINDINGS: This research successfully explored the principles of Islamic worldview, among others Tawheed or monotheism; ‘ilm or science and knowledge; akhlaq or morals; ibadah or worship; and Mardhatillah or pleasure of Allah. These principles synthesized from the Qur'an, Hadith, scholarly thought and various studies of the Islamic scientists in the world. It plays a role in developing an Islamic management model. In organizational management, these principles reflected in the organizational life, namely, the organizational commitment reflected from the principles of Tawheed; ‘ilm for the organizational learning, akhlaq for the personality, worship for work practices, and Mardhatillah for the performance achievement of management.

Pengaruh bauran pemasaran jasa terhadap citra destinasi dan kepuasan wisatawan serta implikasinya terhadap loyalitas wisatawan
Purposes - The tourism is a business opportunity to generate great profits for the management, both private and government. Therefore, this study aims were to analyze the effect of the service marketing mix on destination image, satisfaction and tourists loyalty.
Methods - This type of study is causal research as a component of quantitative research. The location of the study was the existing tourist destination in Medan. Data collection with questionnaires was given to 275 domestic tourists. The sampling technique of this study was used accidental sampling, while for analyzing the data the researcher were using path analysis.
Findings - The results indicated by this study that the marketing mix was determined the destination image and tourists' satisfaction. The image of the destination and the tourists' satisfaction also were affected on tourists loyalty. And then, the marketing mix was directly affected on tourists loyalty without mediated by the destination image and tourist satisfaction.

Therefore, this study aims to examine these issues in order to analyse the influence of work ethic, organizational commitment and work discipline on employee performance.
METHODS : The survey is used as an approach in this research. The survey was conducted of 92 employees of the company. The research data were collected by using a questionnaire. Meanwhile, multiple linear regression becomes the analytical tool for this research.
FINDINGS : The results of hypothesis testing individually show that work ethic has no significant effect on employee performance, but organizational and disciplinary commitment has a significant effect on employee performance. In addition, the results of hypothesis testing simultaneously is indicated that the work ethic information, organizational commitment and work discipline have a significant effect on employee performance.

Kepemimpinan dalam perspektif Islam
PURPOSES: Sharia banking is a system of Islamic banking. In the last period, sharia Banking grew rapidly in Indonesia. The development of sharia banking requires Islamic leadership. Therefore, purpose of this study is to analyze employees and leaders perception of Islamic leadership in sharia banking.
METHODS: The approach of this study using an exploratory paradigm. Sources of research data are employees and leaders of Bank Syariah Mandiri in Medan City. The questionnaires and interviews were used to collect the research data. Meanwhile, the data analysis using descriptive analysis.
FINDINGS: The results of this study provide some important information. Generally, employees and leader’s perception on the Islamic leadership practice of Bank Syariah Mandiri is quite good. Values of Al-Qur'an and Hadith underlie the behavior of managerial leadership in the bank.

Analisis Pengaruh Bauran Pemasaran Terhadap Volume Penjualan
PURPOSES: The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of the marketing mix to sales performance in partial and simultaneous. The marketing mix variables are the product, price, promotion and place.
METHODS: The quantitative research is the approach of this research. The sample of this research is 71 respondents. The sampling technique using simple random sampling. Furthermore, the technique of data analysis is multiple linear regression. The micro-industry of shoemakers in the District of Medan Denai - Indonesia are the target in this research.
FINDINGS: The results of this study provide some important information. Partially, the product, price and promotion are positively and significantly correlated with sales performance. Meanwhile, the correlation between the price and sales performance is negative and significant. Unfortunately, the correlation of the place with sales performance is positive but not significant. Simultaneously, all of the marketing mix variables are significantly related to sales performance.

Analisis kebijakan program penanggulangan kemiskinan: Implementasi manajemen pemerintahan Kota Tanjung Balai
Purposes - The practice of management is not limited just to business, but also to governmental organizations. One of the implementations of government management is managing poverty alleviation programs. For this purpose, this study aims were to examine the policy of poverty reduction program in Tanjung Balai City, North Sumatera Province.
Methods - The approach in this research was applied using the quantitative paradigm. Data were compiled through interviews and questionnaires to stakeholders, including executives, legislators and community leaders. Analysis of research data using descriptive analysis technique with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method.
Findings - The research findings show that poverty alleviation in Tanjung Balai has the following priorities: First priority, investment field in the health industry. The second priority, social assistance. A third priority, empowerment of communities and small business.

To understand the problem, this study was conducted to determine the effect of social class and family factors on consumer decisions at Indomaret mini market in Medan Denai, North Sumatra Province.
METHODS: The quantitative paradigm is the approach of this study. A total of 100 respondents were selected as research samples by using purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression is a technique used to analyze research data. This is used to answer the research problem.
FINDINGS: The results of this study indicate that social class and family factors have a positive and significant influence on consumers' decision to shop at Indomaret mini market.

Analisis determinan minat berbisnis online di kalangan mahasiswa
Purposes - E-business could be one solution to resolve the problem of unemployment, especially for higher education graduates. Before they become an alumnus, We need to distinguish how their interest in the online business. Therefore, this study aim was to learn the effects of education, environment, and internet service available on students' interest for doing an online business.
Methods - The type of this study has utilized the survey. This study was used 94 selected samples with accidental sampling method. A questionnaire was an instrument for collecting the research information. The data were analysed by multiple regression techniques.
Findings - The results of this study indicate that partially variable education and availability of internet services had a significant effect on online business. However, environmental variables had no significant effect on online business. Simultaneously, the variables of education, environment, and availability of internet services had a significant effect on online business interests
