Generalized Convergence of Sequences of Fuzzy Numbers by Means of Modulus Functions
No full textIn this paper, we extend the concepts of statistical convergence and strong summability for the sequences of fuzzy numbers using modulus functions. By introducing appropriate conditions on the modulus functions, we generalize and refine existing notions of convergence within the fuzzy setting. No full textThe application of the Discontinuous Galerkin Method to elliptic problems usually leads to underdetermined linear systems, and penalization or suitable constraints are necessary. In this work, we address this issue for the modified Helmholtz equation. For this elliptic problem, we propose a hybrid numerical flux in the Discontinuous Galerkin method to introduce unknowns on the edges of the mesh, yielding a well-determined linear system. Performance is tested as a Poisson solver. Additionally, accurate approximations are presented for certain Helmholtz problems in Coastal Ocean Modeling
Hacia un Método de Tractografía Basado en Información Microestructura por Medio de Optimización Convexa
No full textThis work presents a method to estimate the structure of white matter (axon bundles) by integrating microstructural information through convex optimization. The approach locally validates each segment using a physical diffusion model that assigns weights to possible trajectories, reducing spurious connections from the early stages of the process. The method is evaluated against classical algorithms using metrics such as LiFE, connectivity correlation, and the area under the ROC curve. The results show greater structural coherence and a reduction in false positives, with robust performance under noise. The study demonstrates the feasibility of incorporating microstructural information into the estimations, although it also reveals a higher number of false negatives and a high computational demand

Estrategias frente a las fragmentaciones: un enfoque ricardiano
No full textA principios del siglo XIX David Ricardo presentó su argumentación a favor del comercio internacional justificando que Inglaterra se centrase en productos industriales al tiempo que aceptaba importar alimentos. La principal crítica de sus contemporáneos fue la situación de vulnerabilidad ante conflictos que podían afectar al suministro de productos tan esenciales. Este tipo de fragilidades han vuelto a primer plano recientemente, especialmente por la situación de dependencia de Europa respecto a los suministros energéticos, de minerales estratégicos y otros inputs críticos. Algunas de las vías planteadas para afrontar la situación tienen precedentes en los debates entre Ricardo y sus críticos: desde los planteamientos de “mantener abiertas las vías de negocio” pese al conflicto hasta buscar diversificaciones y alternativas en los suministros, pasando por reconversiones de proveedores locales y el aprovechamiento de nuevas opciones propiciadas por la tecnología, con planteamientos pioneros de lo que hoy denominamos reshoring, nearshoring, friendshoring o resiliencia
