Background and aim: Loss of balance events has been defined as a primarily contributory risk factor associated with construction workers’ fall injuries. It seems that the anatomical and morphological characteristics of the foot affect the motor fitness of individuals, including balance. So, the purpose of the current study was to the assessment of static and dynamic balance and its relationship with related anthropometric indices in construction worker. Materials and methods: This Descriptive-Analytical study was conducted on 114 construction workers in Qazvin province in 2019-2020. First, the construction workers were asked to complete the demographic questionnaire and the inclusion criteria were determined. Then anthropometric dimensions such as height, sitting height, weight, leg length, foot length, foot surface, ankle width, foot breadth, heel width, ankle circumference, thigh circumference, and hip breadth were measured for each subject. balance of participants was assessed with their open eyes and standing position using a Stabilometer device, Non-instrumental static balance was assessed by the Stork test. Instrumental dynamic balance was measured using a stabilometer and two wooden boards and non-instrumental dynamic balance was measured using a YBT kit in three directions. The obtained data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Pearson and Spearman correlation, Paired sample t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, multiple nominal logistic regression, and multiple linear regression in SPSS software version 25. Results: Twenty-nine point eight percent of construction workers were in weak and very weak classes in terms of static balance. The Pearson and spearman's correlation coefficient showed a significant relationship between age, weight, and Sway Index of individuals. In addition, multiple linear regression showed that age, weight, and foot surface of construction workers can predict the percentage of the Sway Index from the static balance point among construction workers. The highest average normalized reach distances of YBT were in the anterior direction, and were 92.23 ± 12.43% and 92.28 ± 9.26% for right and left foot, respectively. Both maximal and average normalized composite reach in the YBT in each leg were negatively correlated with leg length and navicular drop and positively correlated with the ratio of sitting height to leg length. Conclusion: The results of the current study indicated that demographic information such as age, anthropometric parameters of weight, and foot surface are effective factors on static balance demographic information such as age, anthropometric parameters of navicular drop, leg length, and foot surface are effective factors on dynamic balance in a healthy construction workers’ community with a normal body mass index

Purpose: Trichomonas tenax (T. tenax) is a commensal flagellated protozoan found in periodontal microenvironment of the oral cavity, with a possible role in periodontal diseases. The purpose of the present systematic review and meta-analysis was to determine the worldwide prevalence of T. tenax infection and to show the neglected association of this parasitic infection with oral diseases. Methods: To find literatures published until August 2020, five English databases (PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, Web of Science and Google Scholar) were explored. Finally, 65 papers were qualified to be included in the current study. Results: Our results revealed a global pooled prevalence of 17% (95% CI 14–22%) for T. tenax infection. The highest prevalence was estimated at 56% (42–69%) in Chile, while the lowest prevalence was related to Kenya with 3% (1–6%). The age-based analysis found that the infection was most common in 46–55 mean age group with 15% (0–100%). The overall prevalence regarding culture method, molecular method and direct method was 21% (12–32%), 19% (8–35%) and 17% (12–23%), respectively. Moreover, the subgroup analysis showed the pooled prevalence in patient with candidiasis [22% (3–52%)], gingivitis [21% (9–36%)] and periodontitis [27% (10–48%)]. Conclusion: Our study specified a connection between T. tenax protozoa and periodontitis disease. However, more epidemiological studies as well as clinical trials are needed to precisely identify this relation

Backgroundand aim: Recognizing the personality traits of employees and examining the role of these traits in motivating people's safety can greatly lead to the formation of safe behavior of employees. Considering the significant importance of reducing adverse events and developing safe behaviors, present study aimed to investigate the role of nurses' personality traits in their safety behaviors with the mediating role of safety motivation during 2019-2020. Materials and methods: This is a descriptive-analytical study conducted among nurses working in educational hospitals affiliated by Qazvin University of Medical Sciences, from which 435 individuals were selected by multi-stage proportional sampling method. Data were collected using McCray and Costa Five-Factor Personality Questionnaire, Saleh Motivation Questionnaire (2010) and Safe Behavior Questionnaire (2016) and analyzed by SPSS software version 26 and AMOS software version 23. Results: The path coefficients between nurses' personality traits and their safety motivation (0.557) and safety motivation with safe behavior of individuals (0.267) were statistically significant (p<0.05). Furthermore the path coefficient between nurses' personality traits and safe behavior (0.573) was statistically significant (p<0.05). Also, By using the Sobel test, the mediating role of safety motivation in relation to nurses' personality traits and their safe behavior was confirmed (z <1.96). Conclusion: Results affirmed that safety motivation in nurses had a significant effect on their safety behavior. Therefore, it is recommended to improve safety motivation through establishing an incentive systems to appreciate the employees who had an appropriate and safe behavior in the workplace. Background and purpose: Bracket debonding is a major problem during orthodontic treatment. This research aimed at studying shear bond strength (SBS) and adhesive remnant index (ARI) in two bonding systems (Assure Plus (adhesion booster) and control). Materials and methods: In this vitro trial, premolars (n=90) were divided into two groups. The brackets were bonded either with Transbond XT or Assure Plus. After aging and thermocycling, SBS was measured by universal testing machine. ARI scores were recorded using stereomicroscope. Data were analyzed in SPSS V20 applying One-way and two-way analysis of variance, Tukey test, and KruskalWallis test. Spearman correlation coefficient was calculated to determine any correlation between bond strength and ARI scores. Results: Aging had no significant effect on SBS in Assure Plus samples (P=0.252) but in Transbond XT, samples with 6 months of aging had significantly lower bond strength compared to 24 hours (P=0.001) and 3 months (P=0.000) of aging. There were no significant differences between Transbond XT and Assure Plus when aged for 24 hours (P=0.280) or 3 months (P=0.114) but when aged for 6 months, Assur Plus had significantly higher bond strength (P=0.000). Spearman correlation test showed significant and direct relation between ARI score and SBS (r=0.834, P<0.001). Conclusion: Shear bond strength of Assure Plus was not affected by aging, so it could be useful when higher bond strength is needed for longer period of time
