Full text linkPerception refers to the process by which we are aware of the stimulus that is about the sensory device and takes place at three stages: the stimulus of the sense device occurs, the stimulus is arranged, the stimulus is interpreted and evaluated. Perception distortion often occurs because the level of sensory accuracy has potential obstacles such as narrow thinking, stereotypes, and lack of cultural sensitivity. Performing perceptions of others is also complicated by the dynamic nature of humans in providing verbal and non-verbal clues. Perception has an influence on the quality of communication, because perception is an evaluation of information received and the basis in the process of establishing messages and relationships. PENGARUH AKULTURASI DALAM PROSES INTERAKSI ANTARBUDAYA TERHADAP KESADARAN BUDAYA BERBAHASA DAERAH SETEMPAT BAGI MAHASISWA RANTAU
Full text linka communication process or intercultural interaction, an immigrant conducts some activities as a self- adaptation to the local culture called acculturation. The adaptation is supported by the cultural awareness of local language that becomes the supporting factor. The research was aimed at finding out how big the influence of acculturation consisting of personal communication, social communication, communication environment, and acculturation potential toward the awareness of language culture involving knowledge, attitude, and behavior. The research used the quantitative method with the Path Analysis approach. The sampling technique used was Disproportional Stratified sampling. The data were obtained through questionnaires, interview, observation, and documentary study. The result of the research shows that there was significant influence of personal and social communication in the intercultural interaction process toward the cultural awareness of local language among the South Sulawesi students in Bandung, shown by the percentage of each factor which was: 36.8 % and 48.6 %. The research also showed that there was no significant influence of communication environment and acculturation potential in the intercultural interaction process toward the cultural awareness of local language among the South Sulawesi students in Bandung shown by the percentage of 13.3 % and 1.3 %

Full text linkThis study examines the effectiveness of counselor communication on the self-disclosure of students in SMA Negeri 3 Parepare. Counselors in high schools get a clear role and position or place, where counselors as a component of student support services (student support services) to help the development of personal, social, career, and academic aspects of students through guidance and counseling programs to students in plan (individual student planning), responsive service delivery and system development (system support). Therefore, counselors are highly required to have effective communication skills to support counseling, so counseling communication skills can make students open themselves.
This type of research is descriptive qualitative using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The subject in this study was the BK teacher of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare as the school counselor using data analysis techniques namely interpretation data analysis techniques and triangulation analysis techniques.
The results of this study indicate that the stages of counseling can be seen based on the stages of effective communication conducted by counselors, including; 1) Fact finding, 2) Planning, 3) Communicating, 4) Evaluating. The communication skills applied by counselors in the implementation of counseling are (attending), empathy, summarizing, asking, and honesty. By using the communication model, in this study found that the counselor's communication achieved students' self-disclosure as evidenced by giving their trust to the counselor, expressing honest statements in the counseling process, and students feeling relieved after the counseling. Based on some of the results obtained by researchers, the communication skills conducted by counselors to achieve students' self-disclosure are effective

Full text linkThe purpose of this research is to recognize the difference of students' learning motivation in taking mathematics lesson before and after the application of Emotive Rational Counseling. This research includes quantitative research. Sample of the research was 30 students. It was selected by purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by questionnaire. It was then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and t-test. The result of this research obtained an experimental subject before taking Emotive Rational counseling of which average value was equal to 61,03. It indicates that the level of student's motivation to participate in math lesson is in low category. After the treatment of Emotive Rational counseling, it obtained an average result of 82.86. It denotes that the students' motivation level is in high category. From the t-test it obtained the value of tcount of 14.620, while the ttable value at the level of significance is 5 percent with dk = 29 of 2.045. It states that the research hypothesis was accepted

Full text linkToday the Muslim community is vying to establish a mosque / musholah. Because now the mosque / musholah not only used as a place of worship for Muslims. But also as a place of deliberation, a place to improve the intelligence and knowledge of the Muslims and the development and development of cadres of the leaders of the ummah.The type of this research is quantitativeand research method are correlation and regression analysis.Correlation analysis is used to test the significance and the relation between variables of Muslim population and mosque building. Meanwhile, regression analysis aims to determine the significance of the influence of Muslim population on building mosques in South Sulawesi Province. The results of this research indicate that the functional relationship between the number of Muslim population and the number of mosque buildings in South Sulawesi Province in 2015 is a positive linear pattern, the higher the Muslim population the higher the number of mosque buildings. Based on the results of correlation analysis obtained correlation coefficient between variables is strong that is 0.894 and significantly correlated. Meanwhile, based on regression analysis, it is found that there is significant influence between population and mosque building in South Sulawesi Province in 2015

And handling the diversities, because religious diversity could create either conflict or harmony, depending on how do we perceive the meaning of religious diversity and pluralism. The pluralism, is going to the important thing to be convest by indonesian people, If religious diversity is perceived as a threat, it is possible to create tension and conflict between religions. In contrast, and the reality of social disadvantage it would contribute to disseminate tolerant and harmony. And also the ortthodoksi that had been done by the people shown the religioun had good situation in Indonesia. Full text linkSelf-disclosure or "self disclosure" can be interpreted as giving information about yourself to others. The information provided can include various things such as life experiences, feelings, emotions, opinions, ideals, etc. Self-disclosure needs to be done by the dormitory because it is one way to adapt to the new environment. Self-disclosure, among others, is influenced by gender differences. Self-disclosure is closely related to effective interpersonal communication.
The type of research conducted by the researcher is descriptive qualitative research using interviews, observation and documentation to find the data to be analyzed using triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that STAIN Parepare male dormitory and female dormitory students are able to build interpersonal relationships by means of self-disclosure and are able to provide an overview of the existence of gender differences in terms of the process of building interpersonal relationships. The relationship stage that can be formed through the sixth stage of the process becomes a reference for discussion to develop interpersonal relationships. Interpersonal relationships that occur in the STAIN Parepare male and female dormitories are in the management of psychological data levels to be able to do self disclosure. son or being in the category area area, the purpose of open area is where the residents of STAIN Parepare dormitories are more at an open level in order to be able to build good relationships. Self disclosure is a good system that is also applied by residents of the Parepare STAIN dormitory to form interpersonal relationships.
 
DAKWAH INKLUSIF DI KOTA PAREPARE
Full text linkThe results of this dissertation research show (1) the orientations of the inclusive insightful da’wah materials in Kecamatan Bacukiki are that da'i must be sincere, that da'i becomesa role model, that da'i always learns and upgrades knowledge. Inclusive da'wah should use local languages, straightforward ways, narrative-substantive da’wah without indoctrination, calm and wise da'wah. Da’wah should be suitable to the needs of mad'u, suitable to the development of science and technology, and the level of knowledge of mad'u. Inclusive Da'wah is carried out based on da'wah maps andits relevance to plural societies. It should encourage social transformation, can be applied, and carried out in a dialogical manner; (2) The obstacles of inclusive da'wah are fanatical people, da'wah that does not enlighten and educate, da’wah that is not in accordance with the situation, conditions and ways of thinking of the people, da’wah that does not useBuginese language, preserved Buginese culture, da’i who are not yet competent, not communicative, and generally still low in IT skills; (3) The solutions to the obstacles of inclusive da'wah are that there should be a mapping of da'wah in Kecamatan Bacukiki, the Regional Government and Ministry of Religious Affairs must be synergistic, da’i should master the local language namely Buginese, da’i should be trained. Inclusive da'wah should be comprehensive, affordable access to the society, having syllabus, enlightening da'wah, and da’i who has competence, integrity and exemplary profile.
The implications of this research are that (1) the Regional Government of Parepare must take care of the tolerance and harmony of the Bacukiki society, (2) the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Parepare makes a map of da'wah, trains da'i, compensates da'i, etc.; (3) the Indonesian Ulema Council becomes a representative forum for the people and carries out its main duties and functions; (4) Religious Social Organizations train their da'i professionally and responsibly; and (5) Da’wah practitioners always develop their competence and qualifications, master Arabic, Indonesian, and Buginese, master Information and Communication Technology, and protect them selves to have personality integrity
PENGARUH FILM ANIMASI UPIN DAN IPIN TERHADAP PEMBENTUKAN SELF CONCEPT SISWA DI SDN 5 PADANGLAMPE KABUPATEN PANGKEP
Full text linkThis study focuses on studying the meaning of the messages contained in the animated films Upin and Ipin and the influence of Upin and Ipin's animated films on the self concept formation of Padanglampe 5 Elementary School students. The purpose of this study was to find out the meaning of the message and the influence of Upin and Ipin animated films on the self concept formation of students at SDN 5 Padanglampe.
This research was carried out at SDN 5 Padanglampe kec. Ma'rang, Pangkep district. The research method used is the experimental research method (Research Experiment) with a quantitative approach. Experimental research aims to investigate the causal relationship by exposing one or more experimental groups.
The results showed that there were several scenes in the animated film Upin and Ipin which gave a labeling scene and the average labeling given was positive. The more often someone puts a positive word on someone else, then the person given the labeling has a positive self concept for him. Besides the results of the correlation test on students' self concept formation rxy = 0.644> r = table = 0.361 then the hypothesis H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that H1 is accepted, namely there is the influence of Upin and Ipin animated films on students' self concept at SDN 5 Padanglampe, Pangkep district
EFEKTIVITAS PELAYANAN PSIKOLOGIS TERHADAP LANJUT USIA (Studi Kasus Pada UPTD Pusat Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Mappakasunggu Parepare)
Full text linkThis research is qualitative descriptive by conducting interviews, observing and documenting to produce descriptive data in the form of words, written, or oral, and observed behavior. The results showed that 1) the elderly background had a glorious period of employment status as soldiers, civil servants and field tennis athletes, but with neglected and vulnerable conditions they experienced so they could prevent their psychological state. 2) Forms of services used in psychological services in the elderly in the form of group counseling and therapy with spiritual guidance which is a process carried out through Islamic psychotherapy, and mental fitness therapy and skill guidance. 3) The effectiveness of psychological services is said to be effective seeing from the effectiveness theory which shows the success in terms of achieving the target actions which are determined by meeting the needs of abraham maslow needs with the results that the elderly feel more secure and comfortable with holding consultations every day, feeling more cared for by mentoring from the coach who always visit their guesthouse, feel more self-respect because they are still able to do gymnastic activities and skill guidance, and with spiritual guidance can give them inner peace and bring closer to Allah SWT. Thus, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of psychological services in the UPTD of the elderly social service center, while waiting for Parepare to be effective, has seen from the benchmark of the theory of effectiveness and the fulfillment of elderly needs that they feel more comfortable in their homes than in their own homes. However, it is still less effective when viewed in terms of group consultation and therapy room facilities, as well as limited therapeutic equipment
