    One of the methods to determine design of flood discharge that had been developed in Java are Gama I Synthetic Unit Hydrograph. This method flood hydrograph at rivers with none or very little flood hydrograph observation by using caracteristic or catchment area parameter. But, the physical caracteristic in Java is different if compared in Central Sulawesi, especially Bangga catchment area.The method in this study is to determine the deviation of flood discharge design by Gama I Synthetic Unit Hydrograph method compare with hydrology distribution method (frequency distribution). The analysis method used by Log Person Type III distribution. The result of deviation of value flood discharge design is 2052,9328 % for 2nd return period, 1633,7338 % for 5th return period, 1578,8311 % for 10th return period,1380,4368 % for 25th return period, 1251,4076 % for 50th return period, and 1136,2231 % for 100th return period

    This study aims to determine the extent of the protection system reliability steam turbine generator at Camming Sugar Factory in Bone regency against short circuit. Generator protection system reliability at Camming Sugar Factory in 1996 to 2003 reliability configuration is 1. In 2004 to 2007, the series reliability configuration is 0.9994, reliability parallel configuration is 1.0 and backup configuration is 0.9995. In 2008 to 2011, the series and parallel configurations reliability is 1, while the backup configuration is 0.9998. In 2012, the series reliability configuration are 0.9998, parallel eliability,configuration is  0.0007 and backup configuration reliability is 1. This shows that the generator protection system reliability at Camming Sugar Factory classified very well

    One cause of the disruption of traffic on urban road are pedestrian crossing the street. The bridge crossing is one of the transportation infrastructure which aims to minimize traffic discruption by pedestrian crossing. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of utilization and factors that effect the use of the pedestrian bridge in front of Mall Tatura, Palu city. The research data includes the volume of pedestrians using the bridge crossing and pedestrian volume arenot using pedestrians bridge crossing. Data was collected in the peakhours on weekdays and outside the working day. The data analysis using statistical methods includes Cronbach’s Alpha Test, Relative RankIndex Test and Correlation Spearman Rank Testing. The result of this study is to found that the utilization rate of the pedestrian bridge in front of the Mall Tatura, Palu city is not very helpful.  Factors effecting the use of pedestrian bridge in the study area includes geometric/dimensional of bridge crossing, distance to/from the bus stop, the texture of the floor, the travel time to/from the centre of activity, travel time to/from the bus stop infrastructure, and lighting on the bridge crossing

    One cause of the poor quality of some concrete blocks in the city of Palu is the lack of cement used in the concrete block. This is caused by the high price of cement so that income of concrete blocks maker decreases. To find a way out of these problems, a lot of waste material that can be used in the manufacture of concrete block, one of which is coal fly ash. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the use of coal fly ash in the manufacture of concrete block to business partners of  the concrete block makers in Palu city. The purpose of this activity is to make concrete block business group partners can increase their income without compromising quality concrete block produced.Activity counseling / coaching and mentoring manufacturing concrete block using coal fly ash has been done to the concrete block makers. To facilitate the implementation of the concrete block-making, each made the graduated graduated barrel of sand, cement and coal fly ash graduated. To facilitate the implementation of the concrete block-making, made barrel graduated ie graduated sand, cement and coal fly ash graduated. The composition of the mixture is introduced to the partners is 0.75 sacks of cement: 0.25 sacks of coal fly ash and ± 300 kg of sand or 1 cement barrel dose: 1  coal fly ash barrel dose and 2  sand barrels doses. The results of this activity is to get that quality of concrete blocks produced by using coal fly ash strongly increased compressive strength but does not increase the quality of concrete blocks (Remain quality II). This activity was also found that any use of the three sacks of cement will result in an additional gain of ± 130 concrete blocks. This indicates that the use of coal fly ash in the manufacture of concrete blocks to provide added value to the concrete blocks makers

    The purpose of this Research is to know sand quality and exploiting go out to sea as smooth aggregate for a concrete mixture asphalt. Where to determine made by optimum asphalt content 5 object test with asphalt rate variation, that are 5%, 5,5%, 6%, 6,5% and 7%. After obtaining optimum asphalt content value that is 6,4% hereinafter will be made by object test by using optimum asphalt rate. Sand condition to be used by is the condition of sea sand influenced by up and down of water sea, condition of sea sand which do not influenced by up and down of water sea, Sand condition influenced by up and down of water sea which have washed out. For three conditions of the sand tested by Marshall (measuring tool) with time variation of submersion that is 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, 5 hours and 24 hours. The obtained data is the condition of sea sand that influenced by up and down of sea, do not fulfill the specification of discharge, where sand discharge go out to sea above 4,5 mm

    The aim of this project is to show the aerodynamics experiment results of a truck in terms of drag coefficient (Cd) within aerodynamics forces. The test was conducted in the Wind Tunnel laboratory at the University of South Australia in the school of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
