COMPETITIVENESS THEORY
The objectives of this paper is to assess the basis of competitiveness theory. It also discusses the origin of the concept of competitiveness. The term ‘competitiveness’ is an interesting term, and numerous definitions and explanations have been implemented in research. This categorization can be in the form of personal competitiveness by individual companies, at the microeconomic level where economic sectors and industries view with each other, and at the level of macroeconomics where national economies compete. The term relates generally to market economic matters, but it can also be considered to comprise three distinct divisions, which are the competitiveness of companies (microeconomic level), competitiveness of industries (mezzo- economic level), and competitiveness of national economies (macroeconomic level). According to unit of analysis of competitiveness, there are Nation State Competitiveness, Firm Competitiveness and Individual Competitiveness. There are also world competitiveness and SMEs Competitiveness. The last part review small and medium enterprise competitiveness, globalization, and the link between entrepreneurship and competitiveness. ANALISIS PENGARUH SUKU BUNGA, INFLASI, KURS MATA UANG, IHSG DAN DANA KELOLAAN TERHADAP IMBAL HASIL REKSADANA SAHAM
The main objective of the study is to examinal the effect of interest rate, inflation, foreign exchange rate, IHSG and management of fund on return mutual fund in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The technique sampling is purposive sampling. As much as twenty mutual fund as sample for this research .The result of the study show that variable of SBI is not significant effect on return mutual fund, with p value 0.0764.Variable of Inflation rate is significant effect on return mutual fund with p value 0.0018. Variable of foreign exchange rate is significant effect on return mutual fund on return mutual fund with p value 0.0000.Variable of IHSG is significant effect on return mutual fund with p value 0.0027. PENGARUH RETURN ON ASSETS (ROA), RETURN ON EQUITY(ROE), NET INTEREST MARGIN (NIM) DAN RASIO BIAYA OPERASIONAL PENDAPATAN OPERASIONAL (BOPO), TERHADAP HARGA SAHAM BANK DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA.
The purpose of this research is to know the ROA (Return On Assets), ROE (Return On Equity), NIM (Net Interest Margin) and BOPO ratios that influence simultaneously or partially to the shares price in Indonesia Stock Exchange.The research is causal comparative the data resource that were used from bank aunual report 2003 until 2008 from Indonesia Stock exchange . According to the criteria in this research, the samples are 10 banks in industrial banking. For analysing the model and testing the research hypotheses, we used multiple linear regression analysis statistic method.            Based on the research result and the hypotheses test, we can conclude as follow : 1)  ROA, ROE, NIM and BOPO ratios influence simultaneausly to the shares price. 2)  ROA, ROE, and BOPO ratios influence partially to the shares price while NIM ratio had proved not influence. PENGARUH BAURAN PEMASARAN, DAN ORIENTASI PASAR TERHADAP KEUNGGULAN BERSAING DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA PEMASARAN PADA PERUSAHAAN BATIK DI SURAKARTA
Marketing management is a process of management. Marketing is various theoretical approaches were developed based on the empirical facts in order to arising a concept regarding the reference of action at practical level or operational and managerial level. The series of management activities, marketing management could be seen as company’s effort in dealing with more competitive global competition. Those efforts were conducted by the companies in dealing with competition through the application of marketing strategy, combined with competitive advantage strategy, as well as batik industry at Surakarta, Central Java.The growth of batik industry which is getting tighter in the middle of the various type of batik of the world, batik Indonesia has not yet losing its characteristics. Even batik of Central Java which is consider to have the richest design is still possessing its soul/spirit. Nevertheless, as neighboring countries are rapidly promoting their batik’s products through various continents, batik of Indonesia seemed made no further progress (stay still). Batik which is wear as daily clothing recently is indeed print out with batik’s motif/design. There is indeed an enlightening development in a matter of batik’s consumption nowadays. If batik was only used for certain events, today, its region of utilization has became more broaden. Batik is also often modified with other motif / design for daily clothing. Along with the times, batik is also squirming. Its fabrics is presenting with its latest design.From the result of the test toward the model within this research, using estimation of Maximum Likelihood Estimation (ML), analysis of Structural Equation Model (SEM), and the assistance of Amos 6 software toward 200 respondents of batik entrepreneurs at Surakarta, it is able to provide the explanation regarding the influence of marketing diffusion and marketing orientation toward competitive advantage in developing/increasing market performance at batik’s companies at Surakarta.Within this research, the result obtained from marketing strategy (Products, Price, Promotion, and Distribution), and Marketing Orientation, providing positive influence toward Competitive advantage with the value of first Determination Coefficients (R2) is equal to 0,841, it shows that by using marketing strategy and maximum marketing orientation, it could increase company’s competitive advantage of batik’s companies at Surakarta as much as 84,1%, the value of second Determination Coefficient (R2) is equal to 0,791, which means that by marketing strategy, marketing orientation and high competitive advantage could increase the performance of batik’s company at Surakarta as much as 79,1%.Key words      :          Marketing strategy, Marketing Orientation, Competitive Advantage, Marketing Performanc
PENGARUH FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN TERHADAP STRATEGI PEMASARAN DAN KINERJA PERUSAHAAN PADA INDUSTRI JASA KONSTRUKSI DI INDONESIA
This research is aimed examining the effects of internal environment, industry environment, external environment, and their implications toward the marketing strategy and company performance at construction service industries in Indonesian. The objectives of this research are to prove and to analyze the effect of internal environment, industry environment, external environment variable toward marketing strategy and company performance of medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian.This research is a causality study. The data were collected by questionnaires. Populations of this study are all medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian. Data analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS.The results of the research showed the following evidents:Internal environment variable has positive and significant effect on marketing strategy of medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian.Internal environment variable has positive and significant effect on company performance of medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian.Industry environment variable has not significant effect on marketing strategy of medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian.Industry environment variable has not significant effect on company performance of medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian.External environment variable has positive and significant effect on marketing strategy of medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian.Internal environment variable has not effect on company performance of medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian.Marketing strategy variable has positive and significant effect on company performance of medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian.There is has not different of marketing strategy between medium and small class at construction service industries in Indonesian, except marketing strategy that oriented at prime time and service flexibility. Keywords : internal environment, industry environment, external environment, marketing strategy, company performance, and construction service
ENTREPRENEURSHIP THEORY
The objective of this paper is to assess the basis of the entrepreneurial theories. It discusses the process of entrepreneurship, and models of entrepreneurship are also assessed. These are the simple Hollenbeck–Whitener model, Sanberg’s model, and the preliminary VCP model. Additionally, it explores the abilities, skills, aptitudes, and entrepreneurial competencies from a process perspective. The process of entrepreneurship can be illustrated as being central to the duties performed to maintain the progress of the economic sector. This process is supported by people who search for new and more efficient ways to achieve their business objectives. There is a belief concerning the creation of entrepreneurship that is focused on the inherent, personal characteristics of the entrepreneur. That it is not a new thing for entrepreneurs to display several universal characteristic and knowledge related to their community, and this makes them different from others. Inventory controlling comprise very important activity and should be performed by a company, cause this inventory a important investment and sensitive on market price decline, stealing, wasting, destruction and cost exceed as result of inexact of supervision on those inventory. Similarly, Gramedia Bookstore, in their activity to fulfill people needs on reading materials, Gramedia Bookstore held controlling activity on inventory which supported by data process using information technology that is computer, then those need on inventory will be completed good and controlled.In this thesis writing, the writer do research in Gramedia Bookstore under East Java, Central Java and Bali areas, get along with problem examined “Controlling Analysis Book Inventory Information Technology-Based to Improving Financial Performance PT. Gramedia East Java central Java and Bali Regionsâ€.Research methodology by writer used are quantitative descriptive method, which data gained during this research, are processed, analysed and deepen processed with aim to testing variable X and Y roles.Data used are primary and secondary data, gained through field research by observation, interview and questionnaire in research object. Quantitative analysis used in this research are multivariate analysis by PLS (Partial Least Square) method.Research had done in Gramedia Bookstore could be explained if cooperation with publisher good engaged in order to influencing inventory control system, if sales growth increase then financial performance will be increase and otherwise sales growth decline means financial performance decline. PENGARUH KOMITMEN ORGANISASIONAL, PENGEMBANGAN KARIER, MOTIVASI KERJA DAN KARAKTERISTIK INDIVIDUAL TERHADAP KEPUASAN KERJA DAN KINERJA PEGAWAI PEMERINTAH KABUPATEN HALMAHERA TIMUR
Along with the forming of East Halmahera Regency at 2003, development activities develop rapidly. One of several determining factors of development success is determined by nation apparatus resource. The number of PNS that become the population in this research are employees in the Capital of East Halmahera Regency that isMabaCitywhich total population is 617 persons.          Human resources management influences organizational performance by increasing employee’s commitment that supported by good behavior of all employees. When each employee has commitment, good individual characteristics and good motivation, every employee is hopefully will be able to get working satisfaction and then, these satisfied employee will be able to increase their performance.          In this research, there is 200 employees or 31,32 percent (200/617 x 100%) from the whole population. However, the fact in the field shows that the number of questionnaire as the result of respondents’ answer cannot be tabulated completely, because there is only 194 questionnaire that considered appropriate. It is because 6 of them are destroyed and cannot be interpreted. Sample collection is done by using proportional stratified random sampling technique. Relation among variables in this research is analyzed with SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with AMOS 4.01 program.         The result of examination to Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) criteria after model is modified shows that confirmatory analysis and structural Equation Modeling in this research can be accepted because of model fit with Chi-square score = 164.94 (critical value < 124.34); GFI = 0,924 (critical value > 0,90); and AGFI = 0,841 (critical value > 0,90). From the result of this research model, it is found out that organizational commitment, career development and work motivation is effective enough when it is used as stimulator of jobb satisfaction and employee’s performance. In other words, work satisfaction and employee’s performance can be improved through organizational commitment, career development; work motivation and individual characteristics. Among organization commitment, career development, work motivation and individual characteristic variables in the forming of jobb satisfaction and employee’s performance, individual characteristic gives the lowest contribution. Pengaruh Anggaran Partisipasi, Budaya Organisasi, Pemahaman GCG terhadap Job Relevant Information dan Komitmen Organisasi Dampaknya Terhadap Kinerja Manajerial
The main objective of the study is to examined the effect of budget participation, organization culture, perception of GCG on job relevant information and organizational commitment thats impact to managerial performance. This study is to examined Goal Setting Theory, Contingency Theory, Agency Theory, and Behaviour Organization Theory. As much as 330 retail business as a sample of this study. The result of this study show that budget participation is significant effect on job relevant information, budget participation is significant effect on organization commitment, budget participation is significant effect on managerial commitment, organization culture is significant effect on organization commitment, organization commitment is significant effect on managerial performance, organization culture is significant effect on managerial performance, perception of GCG is significant effect on job relevant information and perception of GCG is significant effect on organization commitment.
