The Big Five Personality Models' Personality Types' Effects on State Civil Apparatus Performance

Personality plays a crucial role in shaping an individual's behavior in different situations, including in the realm of public sector employment like the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). The objective of this research is to make a significant contribution to our comprehension of the interplay between ASN personality and performance. This study examines the influence of personality traits, particularly Extroversion, Introversion, Neuroticism, and Agreeableness, on ASN in the public sector. The primary objective is to comprehend the impact of the interplay among these dimensions on communication aptitude, collaboration, the ability to handle stress, and proficiency in fulfilling ASN responsibilities. The methodology employed is a comprehensive review of existing literature. The research findings indicate that this distinctive amalgamation of personalities plays a substantial role in team dynamics, adaptability to change, and efficacy in handling stress and pressure. ASN communication and collaboration skills are influenced by extroversion or introversion. Comprehending these dynamics enables management to create well-rounded teams, leveraging the strengths of extroverts in fostering connections and networking, while capitalizing on the introspective nature of introverts to offer profound insights. The findings suggest that managers should consider implementing training programs and human resource management strategies that specifically target the development of communication, collaboration, and stress management skills in individuals with ASNs. To summarize, an in-depth understanding of personality dimensions is crucial for attaining success in the dynamic work environment of the public sector

Critical Study On The Manipulation Of The History Of Pancasila's Birth In The New Order Version

The writing of the historical birth of Pancasila during the New Order was biased, starting with the stage of historical sources (heuristics). In this stage, the New Order did not use the main source or historical facts, namely, in this case, the original archive of the Minutes of the BPUPKI and PPKI sessions. Pancasila history writing during the New Order only used the 1945 Preparatory Manuscript of the Constitution book edited by Mr. Muhammad Yamin. However, the book is only a copy of the minutes of the BPUPK and PPKI sessions, not the original archive. Based on this source error, the writing of the history (historiography) of the birth of Pancasila was born, which places Mr. Yaminof as well as Mr. Soepomo as figures who participated in the creation of Pancasila, apart from Bung Karno. During the New Order, this historical construction was used to erase the commemoration of Pancasila Day every June 1. Currently, the alignment of the history of the birth of Pancasila has been carried out by Presidential Decree No. 24 of 2016 concerning the birth of Pancasila. However, the academic straightening of history needs to be done more seriously and deeply

Unveiling the Strategic Model of Political Lies

This article delves into the strategic model of political lies, highlighting the intricate nature of this phenomenon within a political framework. Politicians use various strategies to formulate and disseminate lies, ranging from positive campaigns to negative ones. In positive campaigns, lies create a more favorable public perception of politicians, while in negative campaigns, these undermine opponents' standing, instill doubt, and undermine their credibility. Politicians derive immediate advantages from political lies, such as increased popularity and favorable public perceptions, but must also consider potential future costs, including forfeiting public trust and political ramifications. The strategies employed to deal with political lies vary significantly based on political circumstances. Politicians navigate the delicate balance between short-term political advantage and upholding ethical principles in the political sphere. Political lies can quickly garner support and enhance popularity, but they can also undermine public trust, diminish political credibility, and have enduring consequences for a politician's image. Addressing the issue of political lying requires a multifaceted approach that tackles its root causes while safeguarding democratic principles. Voters are crucial to maintaining accountability by exercising their right to vote and assuming control over the democratic process

    No full text
While corruption may be found anywhere in the world, countries with weak institutions and unstable political environments tend to have more of it. Many countries have embraced decentralization as a workable solution for tackling corruption. The purpose of this study is to provide insight on how decentralization affects Indonesia's corruption problem. The research is qualitative library research, in which the data is collected from various sources such as journals from Scopus and Google Scholar, media reports, government documents, as well as books. The research indicates that local corruption has increased following decentralization, with local government officials, the private sector, and village heads being the most involved. The judiciary in Indonesia has a poor reputation due to low judicial standards, a dysfunctional criminal justice system, and lax enforcement, which have contributed to its poor reputation. By undertaking such research endeavors, the issues confronting corruption will be exposed, and the government of Indonesia will have a more comprehensive understanding of how to deal with corruption

    No full text
This research explores the deliberate implementation of internet restrictions by the Indonesian government, focusing on situations of political instability or conflicts that challenge its authority in the digital sphere. The concept of digital power, signifying government control over information in the digital space, is examined, particularly when this control faces challenges leading to internet shutdowns. The study highlights the connection between internet shutdowns and conflict situations, with a specific focus on Papua, indicating the government's use of these measures to suppress potential counterpower. The government's influence over both government and non-government entities, including internet service providers, is emphasized, revealing its ability to enforce internet shutdowns in response to perceived threats to national stability. Despite the positive role of social networking sites in democratic development, uncontrolled information dissemination is viewed as a potential threat, prompting strategic internet shutdowns to maintain narrative control during critical periods

Deliberative Policy Analysis of Green Open Spaces in Lebak Regency Banten Province

Increasing population growth in an urban area is the main factor in reducing space utilization. One of them is green open space. In response to this, the Regional Government of Lebak Regency issued a policy in the form of Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2011 concerning Green Open Space in the Urban Area of the Capital City of Lebak Regency. Researchers are interested in analyzing the policy planning process for the provision and use of green open space in the urban area of Lebak Regency from a deliberative perspective. The research results showed that population density resulted in the emergence of slum areas and low-income communities. Apart from that, the lack of public awareness of clean and healthy living behaviors is one of the contributing factors. Plans to provide and utilize green open space in the urban area of Lebak Regency have been hampered due to construction and development in the economic sector. Moreover, the importance and need for green open space to overcome disaster-prone areas such as landslide-prone and inundation-prone areas need to be resolved by the Lebak Regency Regional Government. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to create a resolution or development policy that can resolve two factors, namely economic development and the fulfillment of green open space. Therefore, one solution that can be provided is the Green City Development Program

This study aims to examine the implementation of 'sasi' (traditional ecological management) in the management of natural resources in current indigenous territories, particularly the government policy in Negeri Morella, Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency, in organising the management of nutmeg plant resources. The enforcement of 'sasi' by the indigenous community for natural resource management represents a form of responsibility and manifestation of good governance in implementing natural resource management policies in Negeri Morella. The research approach used is qualitative, with a case study design. The research results indicate that the implementation of 'sasi' in indigenous territories in Maluku, especially in Central Maluku, has significantly reduced and, in some cases, is not implemented at all. Negeri Morella itself only enforces 'sasi pala' (nutmeg prohibition) with the main objective of supporting the economic resilience of the community households. The active involvement of the Negeri Morella Government in natural resource management through the enforcement of 'sasi' has had a positive impact on the community, ensuring the sustainability of the available resources for future generations
