    Get PDF
The community attends public hearings or other gatherings to provide feedback or ideas; provides information to DPRD members during working visits; and attends seminars or similar events to conduct studies or follow up on various studies to develop a Draft Regional Regulation. During the planning, design, discussion, promulgation, and socialization stages of forming regional regulations, the community tends to close itself off from the regional government and Regional People's Representative Council, giving the impression that the community does not want to participate. Because they are not interested in the formation of local regulations, several strategies can be implemented to stimulate community participation, including consolidating the power of the community, especially stakeholders; empowering the community (building critical public awareness); publishing the results of essential investigations or research; trying to influence policymakers; generating action and continuous movement

To overcome various problems that arise during the pandemic, the government has modified the policies of countries abroad that use regional quarantine policies or lockdowns as large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). The study results found that there was a need for a scenario to be created by the government to deal with this problem. Then the economy can be reactivated through cultural changes that are pretty significant in people’s daily behaviors

    Get PDF
The discourse of simultaneous local elections in 2024 is still being debated by by-election and democracy observers. Based on Article 201 paragraph (8) of Law Number 10/2016 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents, and Mayors, simultaneous national voting for regional elections in all regions of Indonesia will be held in November 2024. This event, known as Pilkada, is being discussed by the government with the DPR and is nearing its end. One of the prominent debates is whether the Pilkada will be changed from where the Governor and the Regent/Mayor are elected directly through elections to where the Provincial DPRD elects the Governor. The Regent/Mayor is still elected through elections. Does the question arise whether the direct or indirect Pilkada is a solution or a challenge? Direct Pilkada means that the filling of regional head positions is carried out through a general election (election) or is elected directly by the people-voters. Indirect elections seem to mean that regional heads are elected not directly by the people's voters but by the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) or appointed (appointed) by officials above them. Does this paper examine whether the Pilkada, conducted directly or indirectly, is a solution to democracy in Indonesia, or is it a challenge?

Abstract: Many cases of fraud that occurred in public and private sectors resulted in losses. There are state and state financial losses in the public sector, while in the private sector, there are also losses arising from a breach of contract in an engagement. Fraud is an act that is against the law and is done intentionally. The impact of fraud and corruption will increase the amount of stolen state money, and the provision of development or investment will be significantly hampered, especially in the case of foreign investment. When issues of fraud in financial statements are discovered, efforts must be made to prevent or minimize the occurrence of such claims. One way to achieve this is to study forensic accounting. By understanding forensic accounting, apart from being reliable in preparing financial reports, it is also claimed to read what is contained in one of these documents. Law enforcement can benefit from the expertise of accountants, particularly those working in forensic accounting, to disclose and provide evidence to support court decisions relating to corruption, as discussed in this paper.
