    “DARI LUCU MENUJU KOMERSIAL” SEBUAH TINJAUAN SEMIOTIKA VISUAL KOMIK IKLAN TAHI LALATS

    The Tahilalats advertising comics are a differentiator from works that only aim to convey humorous messages on Instagram. An overview of advertising comics with commercial purposes is interesting because the contents of commercial advertisements for a product become a new pattern of creativity for Tahilalats creators. The object of the problem taken from the work entitled “Surprise” offers a form of negotiation between the aim of being funny and commercial advertising The Ponds Men advertisement is a promotional idea for men’s skin care products which is humorously visualized in ten comic strip panels. The series of panels is a sign structure that will be dissected in order to find the right meaning to show the persuasion message of a commercial product. The accuracy of meaning can be seen from the visualization of the text or aspects of form and context or content as part of the marking system. The marking system will be reviewed based on the sign structure of Barthes’s semiotic theory, namely lexia. The meaning analysis begins by re-reading the nine comic panels into four lexias by naming them based on the logic of meaning, not chronology. In the lexia you will find code categories used as sign dynamic rules according to Barthes based on the perception and culture of the users as interpreters including hermeneutic codes, semimic or semantic codes, symbolic codes, proairetic or action codes, and cultural codes. The code becomes the main reference showing the context in the form of a persuasive message from a Ponds Men commercial advertisement. The context of being funny can be visualized with aspects of character shape, cartoon-style expressions that are simple and simple. The supporting theory is in the form of relays and intertextuality from Julia Kristeva to review the performance of the tagging system based on caption text in the form of titles and descriptions in the Instagram Tahilalats column. In this case, it can show that the commercial message of Ponds Men’s products can be combined appropriately according to Tahilalats’ cute characterization.Keyword: advertising, comic, tahilalats, visual semiotic

    In the discourse of fine arts, photography is a medium for expressing the expression of its artists whose practice has been similar to other processes of art creation. Expressive photography has become more subjective than other genres such as journalistic and commercial. It is this difference that makes expression photography an interesting discourse to research from the creation process, the embodiment of the work to the presentation technique. An important element in the process of embodiment of expressive photography is the relationship between the subject, object and the value of the artist’s thoughts. The subject as a photographer/creator/artist undergoes aesthetic and artistic experiences that are heavily influenced by his own history, formal education in art schools, experience of undergoing continuous photography practice, experience of observing and seeing the development of photography both in Indonesia and western country. It is this influence that makes the subject become more mature in choosing objects so that they have value and meaning for their photography career journey as well as being wiser in choosing the stories implied in their photographic works of art. In this study, the figure of Nico darmajungen was deliberately chosen considering the criteria above in accordance with his figure. Moreover, his photography styles have brought about a change in the paradigm of photography in Indonesia. The conclusion of this study is that the aesthetic experience experienced by artists and spectators becomes a major stage before works of art are created. Aesthetic experience has stimulated the brain to create works in accordance with the artistic experience that is practiced.     PENGOLAHAN MOTIF MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK ROTATION ESCHER DENGAN INSPIRASI RAGAM HIAS KAIN BATIK MADURA

    Developments in making motifs are very diverse in form and technique; in processing motifs, repetition techniques are needed, one of which is the tessellation repetition technique. Tessellation is creating a two-dimensional plane using geometric elements that are repeated without gaps and overlaps. Dutch graphic artist Maurits Cornelis successfully created tessellation using non-geometric shapes. It has four techniques in its manufacture: translation, reflection, rotation, and glide reflection. Previous studies have carried out the development of the rotation Escher technique with the inspiration of Indonesian fabrics. Still, the results of processing the motifs have not been optimal. So that further research is needed with proper processing to be able to produce more diverse motifs. The Escher rotation technique has special mathematical calculations and uses a different basic form. This study aims to create variations of non-geometric plane motif modules with tessellation compositions using the Escher rotation technique. This study brings Madura batik motifs that also have organic visual similarities and are geometric patterns with the Escher tessellation technique to provide more aesthetic value to the motif work. This study uses a qualitative method by conducting a literature study on the theory of rotation Escher, visual observation of objects in the rotation Escher technique, and Madura Batik fabrics. The next step is to process the motifs digitally using the Escher rotation technique with the inspiration of Madura Batik cloth. The final result is a variation in the shape of the motif in the form of a modification of the Escher rotation technique with visual details of the flora of chickens, peacocks, birds, fish, and flowers to have local content. This variety of motif creations can be used as a visual reference for designers to make motif applications on clothing.Keywords: Batik, Escher, Geometric, Madura, Motive, Tessellation.

    The use of interior design has become a complement to a main factor of building aesthetics. Apart from prioritizing aesthetics, interior design also prioritizes comfort and harmony to make the design more efficient and help the user\u27s productivity. This research focuses on interior concepts, ergonomics studies and lighting in the workspace of the Buddhist Ministry of Religion which currently feels unfulfilled, such as furniture and circulation that are currently not in accordance with ergonomics studies which causes workers to complain because of discomfort while working. This research aims to produce a comfortable and efficient workspace for users. Therefore, a descriptive qualitative method is used in this study to obtain data to improve interior concepts, ergonomics studies and lighting in workspaces for a long period of time.     Furniture design for mass production & export orientation is complex innature, tend to have a lot of revisions, thus require a lot investment in fund,time, and effort. There are 2 research issue: 1) Mistakes in design proposalsoften occurred (size, construction, style, finishing, price), can not match withfactory production capacity, or buyer’s market target.     This research is an Interior Design Planning process for the Geological Information Center (GIC) Building in East Belitung, which applies the characteristics of East Belitung\u27s cultural identity. This research was motivated by a plan from the Geological Survey Center, Geological Agency of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in 2019, which was the need for the availability of GIC Buildings and Interiors specifically for the East Belitung district. The facility will later function as an Information Center regarding the diversity of rock types contained in the earth of Belitung, which will become one of the geotourism destinations. The purpose of this research is to produce an Interior design of the East Belitung GIC that applies the cultural characteristics of Belitung, with a form that combines modern style in Modern Facilities with elements of local culture as a distinctive feature.     Taman Tribeca merupakan sebuah taman di pusat perbelanjaan Central Park,Jakarta Barat. Salah satu sarana umum yang ada di area tersebut adalahtempat sampah untuk menampung sampah pengunjung. Berdasarkan hasilpengamatan pada desain tempat sampah yang ada, ditemukan masalahdalam proses pengeluaran sampah oleh petugas kebersihan di taman Tribeca.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan analisis terhadap desain tempatsampah, ditinjau dari aspek ergonomi dan kriteria desain yang sesuai. Metodepenelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif analisis. Pengumpulandata dilakukan dengan melakukan survei, observasi langsung, wawancara,kuesioner tertutup, kajian pustaka, dan landasan teoritis menurut para ahli.Hasil analisis dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dimensi, aspek visual,material, dan penempatan tempat sampah di taman Tribeca sudah sesuaidengan teori ergonomi dan desain. Namun, operasional pengeluaran sampaholeh petugas kebersihan belum memenuhi teori ergonomi yang ada. Kesimpulandari penelitian ini adalah desain tempat sampah di taman Tribeca sudah cukupbaik bagi pengunjung tetapi belum memenuhi kaidah ergonomi bagi petugaskebersihan taman Tribeca.     Social sustainability is now often known as an important strategy in the running of a corporation in developing its human resources, including Bank BUMN. This banking company is currently still facing problems in the form of an overworked culture for its employees which causes stress and decreases work productivity. This study analyzes the needs and activities of Bank BUMN employees to provide work facilities that can be a way out of these problems. The research method used is a mix-method that tends to be descriptive with analysis showing that breakout area facilities can be a step in fulfilling employee job satisfaction and creating social sustainability in the work environment of Bank BUMN

    Masyarakat masa kini memiliki kesulitan dalam mencari hunian yang relatif luas, hal ini disebabkan harga lahan yang semakin melonjak akibat keterbatasan lahan. Maka dari itu, masyarakat urban lebih memilih tinggal di hunian sempit seperti apartemen. Namun, ditemukannya masalah akibat tinggal di hunian dengan area yang sempit. Salah satunya yaitu sempitnya lahan menyebabkan masyarakat kesulitan untuk menggunakan beberapa jenis furnitur untuk mendukung berbagai aktivitas kesehariannya. Demi mengatasi keterbatasan tersebut, muncul ide untuk merancang mebel dengan konsep hemat ruang dan konvertibel. Hemat ruang berarti merancang mebel yang dapat memiliki banyak fungsi sehingga menghemat area gerak pada lantai. Sedangkan konvertibel berarti mebel dapat diubah bentuknya sesuai dengan sistem yang dirancang untuk menyesuaikan kebutuhan user. Sifatnya yang konvertibel ini menyebabkan mebel menjadi lebih efisien, fleksibel, dan praktis dalam penggunaannya sehingga dapat mendukung aktivitas masyarakat hanya dalam satu mebel
