THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE LEARNING CLASSES CATEGORIZATION BASED ON STUDENTS’ EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND IN MASTERING ARABIC
This research aimed to know the effectiveness of the division learning classes based on students’ educational background in Arabic at IAIN Bukittinggi. This research was a quantitative research. The population of this research was the Arabic Students of 2019/2020 who have undergone grouping system based on the school background in Arabic classes. The data was collected by online questionnaire on 75 students and 7 lecturers and was analyzed with Likert scale. The results showed that majority of students agreed with the grouping system because it helped them to improve their Arabic, to be more confident during the lesson, and to understand the given materials according to their learning outcomes. The data analysis also showed that the grouping system could measure students\u27 abilities and increase students’ competitiveness in the process. Meanwhile, a small number of students expressed their disapproval of the grouping system because it limited their Arabic ability in order to have the proper chance to discuss the given materials with those who have previously learned Arabic
MORPHO-PHONOLOGICAL OF LOANWORDS IN LAMPUNG LANGUAGE FROM ARABIC
The purpose of this discussion is to find out the process of changing loanwords and the form or type of loanwords that occur. The research method used is a descriptive method. This methodology focuses more on the “what” of the research subject rather than the “why” of the research subject. Data collection used in this study is content analysis and library techniques from literature sources such as dictionaries. Data analysis used in this study is the translational equivalent method. The results of this study found that the loanwords on Lampung language from Arabic through morphophonological processes in the form of sound attenuation, sound reinforcement, sound relaxation, addition of sound, reduction of multiple consonants, dissimilation, and aferesis. Then, the types of loanwords produced by the Lampung language from Arabic Language are in the form of full absorption patterns, partial absorption and pronunciation adjusment. This study contributes to the wealth of linguistic studies, especially Arabic and Lampung language which are widely spoken by the local community
AN EXPLORATORY INVESTIGATION ON TEACHING ARABICS WRITING THROUGH OUTDOOR CLASS
This study aimed to explore the preparation of an outdoor study, the experiences of students and the results of their essays after doing an outdoor study using the exploration method of 14 students. The techniques used were interviews and analysis of their written documents. The findings of this study indicated that outdoor study activities began with preparation to achieve learning objectives by setting a schedule of activities. Students felt that outdoor study activities in learning to write made it easier for them to write based on the realities of people\u27s lives without having to imagine as well as being able to socialize with the community. Students\u27 essays were generally seen from the aspects of content, content organization, vocabulary and grammar in general according to facts, good and precise. There were three topics written about the function of the Kereng Bangkirai Pier and the title of the essay and the flow of the different descriptions. The implication of this research is that learning in an environment that matches the theme of the material helps students in developing their competences from cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects
I’DÂD KITÂB AL-NAHW AL-TA’LÎMÎ ‘ALÂ DHAU’I TAJDÎD AL-NAHW ‘INDA SYAUQI DHAYF LI THALABAH JÂMI’AH PALOPO AL-ISLÂMIYYAH AL-HUKÛMIYYAH BI SULAWESI AL-JANÛBIYYAH
This research was aimed to: Produce nahwu teaching book based on Syauqi Dhayf’ theory. Measure the eligibility of the book. Measure the affectivity of the book.This research was research and development model as laid out by Borg and Gall was modified. The analyses qualitative databy using Miles and Huberman’s theory, and analyses quantitative data by using T-Test. the result of this research is: Among the characteristics of teaching materials developed are by utilizing inductive approach. Such approach uses materials which are based on reformation theory by Syauqi Dhayf who neglects i’râb taqdiry and mahally, removes ‘âmil in i’râb, and redefines nahwu topic. The developed teaching book is eligible to be used in teaching nahwu based on validation by experts nahwu, arabic, and teaching design. which achieved very good score. The developed teaching book is effective in improving the grades of students based on T-Test that counted: 20,014 bigger than T table: 2,101 and its significant grade: 0,000 smaller than alpha: 0,050. It means there is a great difference of exam’s results between before and after implementation
AMIN AL-KHULI: RÂID TAJDÎD AL-BALÂGHAH FÎ AL-ASHR AL-HADÎTS
This research aims to uncover the names of thinkers who encourage the renewal of Balaghah (Arabic Islamic Rethoric), as well as to find the pioneer of the renewal of Balaghah in modern era. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The author takes data from Munir Muhammad Kholil Nida\u27s dissertation (1980), and other references related to the title of the discussion. Among the results of this study, it is known that Munir mentioned important names who are considered the pioneers of Balaghah reform in modern times, including: Ahmad Badawi, Mustafa Amin and Ali Jarim, Abdul Aziz Basyari, Anis Al-Maqdisi, Ali Al-Umari, Abdu Ar-Razaq Muhyiddin, Amin Al-Khuli, and Ahmad As-Syaib. And the most important pioneers of reform among them were Amin Al-Khuli and Ahmad As-Syaib. Because both of them made a special book on the principles of their renewal ideas. And Amin Al-Khuli is considered superior to Ahmad As-Syaib with a logical division of titles, and the ability to provide satisfactory explanations in the selection of titles in the new Balaghah concept
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ARABIC LEARNING ENVIRONMENT IN ISLAMIC HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION IN NORTH SUMATERA
This study aims to highlight the establishment of supporting environment to Arabic learning in some PTKIs (Islamic Higher Education Institutions) in North Sumatera Indonesia. It could be contended that the supporting environment to Arabic learning could enhance the quality of learning the language itself. Concerning some challenges in teaching and learning Arabic as a foreign or second language, one of major strategies which could be applied is to establish the supportive learning environment which could facilitate the process of learning the language becoming more attractive and optimizing. This study is conducted by qualitative approach which the data were obtained from series of observations, interviews, and documentations. The result of this study depicts that there are some key factors which could conform the establishment of supportive environment to the teaching and learning Arabic in those Islamic Institutions and also the level of language understanding which could be endorsed by how established the environment itself
ISTIKHDÂM AL-TA’ÂBÎR AL-ISHTHILÂHIYYAH WA AL-SIYÂQIYYAH LI AL-MUTA’ALLIQ BI HURÛF AL-JARR FÎ RASÂIL THALABAH AL-BAKÂLÛRIÛS BI KULIYYAH AL-TARBIYAH BI JÂMI’AH SUNAN GUNUNG DJATI BANDUNG
This study aims to determine the errors of students in using contextual and idiomatic expressions in Arabic student theses of Education Faculty of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung and to describe the factors that influence the errors. The method used is content analysis and data was analyzed qualitatively. All contextual and idiomatic expressions in the theses of students will be analyzed and combined with Arabic dictionary. Data source is 20 students’ theses. The results showed that errors are still found in contextual and idiomatic expressions, so the meaning of the sentence is not appropriate. The students got difficulties to distinguish both contextual expression and idiomatic expression of huruf jarr usage in writing sentences. The function of huruf jarr is still strange for them. Basicly, it was influenced by several factors, mainly the influence of Indonesian language which is very dominant, in addition to the fact that less students are given sufficient training to use huruf jarr
NEEDS ANALYSIS OF TASK-BASED MODEL OF ARABIC NURSING SYLLABUS
The purpose of this study is to find the needs of task-based model syllabus for Arabic language learning in Nursing Academy at As-Syafi\u27yah Islamic University in Jakarta. Currently, most of the specific language syllabus does not fulfil the student needs and its content that is the language used is very general and did not really based on the needs of students. The study analyses the student needs using descriptive analysis method. While the data will be collected from document, questionnaire, and interview. Then, the data analysed will be validated by expert of qualitative technique. There are three steps of process will go through, namely data reduction, data display, and taking conclusion. The result of study shows that task-based model of Arabic nursing sylabus which is refered to Indonesia\u27s national qualification framework is proper and decent to be used as the guidance of Arabic teaching and learning process at Nursing Academy of As-Syafi\u27yah Islamic University Jakarta
THE ERROR ANALYSIS OF ARABIC PRONUNCIATION OF STUDENTS CHOIR IN SINGING QASIDAH BUSYRA LANA
The article discusses the analysis of errors in the pronunciation of Arabic letters in members of the IAIN Surakarta’s PSM. This study describes: 1) the form of errors in the pronunciation of Arabic letters; and 2) factors causing the occurrence of pronunciation errors in Arabic letters. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing the pronunciation errors in singing Qasidah songs. The research findings that 1) The form of pronunciation mistakes made on al-halaq (ع) mistakes made by respondents in the pronunciation of Arabic letters amounted to 6 errors. 2) Forms of pronunciation errors in al-lisan (ش، ض، ط، ص), pronunciation mistakes made amounted to 2-6 errors. Causes of errors or difficulties in pronouncing the letters al-halaq (throat) and al-lisan (tongue), among others: 1) The influence of mother tongue or first language. 2) Lack of reading practice. 3). There are still many members who aren’t graduated from Islamic boarding schools. These findings can be concluded the misreading of the Arabic letters in singing Qasidah, occurs due to the limitations of the IAIN Surakartas PSM members in pronouncing Arabic pronunciations and still being influenced by the mother tongue and limitations in adding material about pronunciation related to Arabic
NON-NATIVE ARABIC LANGUAGE TEACHER: LOW TEACHER’S PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE LOW QUALITY OUTCOMES?
This study aimed at investigating the problems of Arabic teachers’ professional competence in improving the quality of the graduates at MA Al-Musdariyah 2 Cimahi. Phenomenology, scientific approach, and a formal juridical approach were used as the method in this study. This study belonged to a case study. The result of this study showed that the main problems related to the teacher’s professional competence in teaching and learning Arabic were an unsuitable academic qualification, the lack of teachers’ welfare, teachers’ discipline and awareness, tutoring, and training. The implication of this study indicated that teachers’ professional competence to improve the quality of the graduates had been implemented. However, the implementation of teachers’ professional competence was considered less than optimal. It influenced the quality of the graduates. In other words, the objectives of teaching and learning activities were not achieved. Therefore, in this case, teachers as the most important factor in teaching and learning processes should improve their competences as a manifestation to improve the quality of the graduates
