EFISIENSI TEKNIS USAHA TERNAK AYAM BROILER POLA KEMITRAAN DI KABUPATEN LIMAPULUH KOTA
Due to the high cost of investment in broiler production and the risk involved, various types of lease arrangement in broiler production exist in Indonesia. Two of the best known arrangement include the contract system and the informal profit sharing system. The difference in these two types of arrangement lies in the degree of cooperation which influence their technical efficiency. This study aims to measure the technical efficiencies of broiler farms with the contract system and the profit sharing system. This study also analyzed the basic determinants of the technical efficiency, as well as the socio-economic variables that affect business performance. Cross section data was collected from Limapuluh Kota district between July to September 2015. The purposive sampling technique was used to identify 87 farmers of which 50 were involved in the contract system arrangement while 37 were involved in the profit sharing arrangement. The data was analyzed using the Cobb-Douglas Stochastic Production Frontier. The results showed that the type of lease arrangement affects the level of technical efficiency. When compared, the technical efficiency of contract system arrangement was higher than that of the informal profit sharing arrangement. The age and experience of broiler farmers significantly influenced the level of technical efficiency. However, while age was positive experience was negative

The food industry is one of the small micro enterprises that have a role as a source of employment and incomes. The development of food industry have some problems, especially the lack of accessibility to formal credit institutions. The objectives of this study are to assess the characteristics of food industry and to identify the factors affecting accessibility food industry using the probit models. Result of the study show that the assets and education are an important factor in accessing credit to formal credit institutions
ANALISIS PENGEMBANGAN BISNIS MADU PADA CV ATH-THOIFAH DENGAN PENDEKATAN BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS
Honey has many benefits not only as a medicine but also can be used as a food supplement. The market opportunities for honey business is still very wide open, this is indicated by the high value of Indonesian honey imports compared to the export value. Seeing these market conditions is one of the fundamental things established of CV Ath-Thoifah, si one of the company that develops traditional herbal products in Indonesia and basically using honey as the main ingredients of its products. The aims of this study are identifying business model canvas, determining the priority elements on business model canvas that will be developed, composing business model canvas improvement, and preparing alternative strategy to develop business of CV Ath-Thoifah. The respondents in this study are from internal and external team. The processing and data analysis utilize the qualitative method, identification of the current business model canvas, determination the priority elements to be developed use importance performance analysis method, SWOT analysis, and designing alternative business strategy. The results show nine elements of business model canvas in CV Ath-Thoifah now. Key activities, key partnership, and cost structure are the priority elements that will be developed. Based on the results of SWOT analysis and FGD, the alternative strategies can be coclude: 1) developing business in big cities outside Jabodetabek area, 2) adding distributors and agents intensively, 3) establishing special partnership in information technology (IT), 4) applying Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles and BPOM certification, 4) increasing the allocation of funds in research and development field
TRANSMISI HARGA KOPI ARABIKA GAYO DI PROVINSI ACEH
ABSTRACTThe objective of this study is to analyze the price transmission of Gayo Arabica coffee from farmers to exporters. This study utilizesECM (error Correction Model) to investigate price transmission based on monthly price data in farmer and exporter level from Januari 2008 until December 2014. The result showed that price transmission test ECM-EG model showed that in short term, the price transmission is assymetric and symetric in long term.The symmetrical price transmission between farmers and exporters in the long term, showed that there was no misuse of market power, Therefore, price changes that occur at the farmer level in the long term were transmitted perfectly towards exporter. Asymmetric price transmission in the short term is commonly caused by cost adjustment factors and marketing agency behaviors in the pricing mechanism and the performance of each level / marketing agencies. Therefore, the need for setting prices of Gayo Arabica coffee, especially at the producers (farmers) level and the government\u27s role in monitoring the price according to the quality of coffee, and inform the development of the market price (the local and the world) to the farmers
EFISIENSI BIAYA PRODUKSI PUPUK ORGANIK PADA UNIT PENGELOLA PUPUK ORGANIK (UPPO) TANI MANDIRI I B DI DESA LOMBOK KULON KECAMATAN WONOSARI KABUPATEN BONDOWOSO
Agroinput needs of farming activities, especially fertilizer in Lombok Kulon village is supplied by UPPO Tani Mandiri I B in the village. Livestock population in Lombok Kulon village in 2012-2015 shows an increase of cattle population. The increase of livestock population will increase availability of raw materials for organic fertilizer, so it needs a good raw materials procurement system in the procurement process of livestock manure as raw materials for organic fertilizer. Therefore, the researcher wanted to analyze the production system on UPPO in Lombok Kulon village. The review of the organic fertilizer system production on UPPO in Lombok Kulon village besides viewing the technical aspect, but also can be viewed from the aspect of cost production to see whether the production activities of organic fertilizer is efficient. The results show that: (1) Procurement of livestock manure as raw materials for organic fertilizer on UPPO Tani Mandiri I B has fulfilled aspects of the raw materials procurement, ie quantity, quality, time, cost, and organization systems. (2) The production system of organic fertilizer viewed from three aspects, namely: production type of UPPO Tani Mandiri I B is a mix, facility layout of UPPO Tani Mandiri I B is a product layout. The processing of organic fertilizer on UPPO Tani Mandiri I B is less than in SOP. (3) The use of production costs on UPPO Tani Mandiri I B is efficient. EFISIENSI PRODUKSI USAHATANI KELAPA DALAM (Cocos nucifera Linn) DI KECAMATAN GAUNG ANAK SERKA KABUPATEN INDRAGIRI HILIR
Efficiency in a farming process has a very important meaning in efforts to increase income of coconut farmers, especially in planning or developing coconut products that are effective and efficient in producing coconut. The purpose of this research is to analyze technical efficiency, allocative/price and economical of coconut plantation in Gaung Anak Serka Sub-district, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research uses survey method. The research was conducted in Kecamatan Gaung Anak Serka (GAS), in four villages namely (1) Rambaian village; (2) Idaman village; (3) Iliran Village; (4) Tanjung Harapan village. Total samples were 62 farmers. The study was conducted in May 2017 until December 2017. Data analysis using software Frontier Version 4.1 C. The results showed that the average technical efficiency level achieved was 72.94 percent of maximum productivity. This shows that the farming coconut in Gaung Anak Serka Sub-district has been efficient to technical efficiency, but not yet allocatively/price and economical efficiency. The average value of the overall allocative efficiency is 2.40 and not economically efficient because the economic efficiency value obtained is 1.75
ANALISIS NILAI TAMBAH PELAKU RANTAI PASOK ORGANISASI JARINGAN MADU HUTAN SUMBAWA (JMHS) MENGGUNAKAN METODE HAYAMI
This study was aimed to analyze the added value in the supply chain of forest honey at Jaringan Madu Hutan Sumbawa (JMHS) organization. The respondents in this study are 30 honey hunter, 2 group leader, 2 JMHS cooperative and 1 marketing outlet Rumah Madu. Quantative descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the added value by using Hayami’s method (1987). The results from this study were the added value of forest honey from Madu Hutan Lestari cooperation is 0.5 persen highest than other chain actors. While the value added distribution of marketing outlets Rumah Madu has been the highest percentage of added value compared to other chain actors

Agribusiness marketing approach can be done through economic or management approach. The economic approach shows the overall presence of marketing channels that will be more efficient and determined by the Structure Conduct and Performance (SCP). The higher the percentage of market share indicates the strength of an enterprise in an industry. If the market share is relatively small and diffuse then the market tends to be in a competitive market reflected by market conduct and market performance On the other hand, a marketing approach to management is a business strategy of a company (group) to improve the efficiency or profit of a company and its networking. Value chain, supply chain, governance value chain analysis is part of the overall agribusiness marketing analysis, so players who have dominant power or market share will be visible in the marketing channel and the centralized market structure. The cooperation of small firms whose market share is relatively dispersed, the market structure tends to lead to a perfectly competitive market with the performances delivered to the market mechanism
EFISIENSI PABRIK KELAPA SAWIT DI INDONESIA
Crude palm oil (CPO) is one of Indonesian agricultural products that are widely developed. CPO is produced by palm oil mills. This research analyzes the efficiency of Indonesian palm oil mills uses 2010 manufacturing industry survey conducted by the Statistics Indonesia. The efficiency analysis is done by using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with production value as the output, and production expenses, labor expenses, other expenses, and fixed capital as the inputs. It is found that 26 out 137 firms are efficient. Based on the capital ownership, foreign firms have the highest average efficiency score. Based on export participation, exporting firms have higher efficiency than non-exporting firms. Based on location, firms that located on other islands have higher efficiency than firms that located on Sumatra and Kalimantan
ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR EKSPOR PRODUK PERTANIAN INDONESIA KE NEGARA KURANG BERKEMBANG
This study aims to analyze the potential of new export markets for Indonesian agricultural products and analyze the factors that affect the export of agricultural products LDCs. The method used was Export Product Dynamics (EPD) and Gravity Model. The study focused on Indonesian agricultural exports to 36 countries which have a GDP per capita below US$ 3.500. The study found that Indonesia has relationships that is different among commodities. For tea, Indonesia has trade relation with Cambodia, Kenya, and Pakistan. For palm oil, Indonesia has trade relation with Bangladesh, Togo, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Benin, Mozambique, Tanzania, Nigeria, Yemen, Cameroon, Senegal, Pakistan, and Ghana. For coconut, Indonesia has good trade relation with Bangladesh, Tanzania, and Pakistan. For Sugar, Indonesia has trade relation to Madagascar, Kenya, Yemen, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Ghana, and Pakistan. Factors affecting the demand of tea are gross domestic product of importer countries and economics distance. Furthermore, factor influencing the trading of palm oil are world price, gross domestic product of importer countries and economics distance. While, coconut and sugar trading is affected by world price and economics distance. Thus, it can be said that the potential for new export markets for Indonesian agricultural products in the context of South-South Cooperation has a good chances
