Effects and issues of pre-clinical educational programs on students' confi dence during off-campus clinical practice -- A questionnaire-based study --
Get PDFapplication/pdf県立広島大学保健福祉学部コミュニケーション障害学科では，言語聴覚士を目指す学生が学外での臨床実習に際し，より充実した経験ができるよう，実習前プログラム内容を充実させてきた。今回，学外臨床実習を終えた学生らを対象にインターネットによるアンケートを行い，これらのプログラムの効果と課題について整理した。質問項目は実習前プログラムを振り返り，各プログラムが学外実習に効果があったかを問うものとした。この結果，多くの学生が実習前プログラムは学外実習に効果的だったと評価していることがわかった。特に，コミュニケーション障害を抱える当事者と直接的に接する機会を持つなど，臨床場面を想定した学修の有効性を実感していると示唆された。The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the Prefectural University of Hiroshima has made efforts to improve the pre-clinical education programs for students aspiring to become speech-language and hearing pathologists. This article discusses the effects and agendas of those pre-clinical education programs. All students who underwent offcampus clinical practice were asked to complete an internet questionnaire that enquired whether they felt these programs had been effective for off-campus clinical practice. Most students responded that they believed the program had been effective for off-campus clinical practice; however, in particular, it was felt that experience of frequent contact with patients with communication disorders was the most benefi cial. In conclusion, these results revealed the importance of having a practical program with real patients to prepare for off-campus clinical practice.報告departmental bulletin pape
