A functional performance assessment is crucial for planning an employee's career development working in the company. Nevertheless, related to the performance, so far, conceptually, it is divided into two, e.g., task and contextual performance. Subsequently, directly or indirectly, contextual performance influences individual task performance. Therefore, the study related to particular contextual performance becomes an essential matter to discuss. This study related to contextual performance is relatively scarce; moreover, it does not even find primarily in startup companies. The research objective is to observe the role of perceived organizational support, organizational culture, and servant leadership on contextual performance. The method in this study is quantitative correlation research. The participants in this research are startup employees who are actively working. The instrument for collecting data is a psychological scale consisting of a contextual performance scale, perceived organizational support scale, organizational culture scale, and servant leadership scale. The data analysis technique employs multiple regression analysis. The research result indicates that the coefficient values are R=0.589, F=4.615, and p=0.01 (p<0,05). Based on the data analysis result, simultaneously, perceived organizational support, organizational culture, and servant leadership is indeed contributed to contextual performance. Keywords: Organizational culture, Contextual performance, Perceived organizational support, servant leadership, Startu

    No full text
This study aimed to describe the relationship between religiosity and authoritative parenting style and the meaningfulness of student life. This study used quantitative tests. It gathers 132 students from the Faculty of Psychology of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan with an age range of 18 to 25 years. The sample was collected through proportional cluster random sampling with a proportion of 10% of the population. Three scales were used, namely the religiosity scale, authoritative parenting scale, and life meaningfulness scale. All data that has been collected was immediately analyzed using SPSS version 20. To test the hypotheses of this study, multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the effect and the extent to which religiosity and authoritative parenting style contribute to life meaningfulness. All hypotheses were shown to be significant starting from the finding of a significant relationship between religiosity and life meaningfulness. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between an authoritative parenting style and life meaningfulness. Life meaningfulness is achieved by recognizing and understanding God and then acting or behaving according to His words. Religiosity reflects the personality and early family upbringing. The authoritative parenting style applied during childhood may well continue until college. Religiosity and an authoritative parenting style may encourage an individual to make sense of every process, problem, sadness, or happiness and learn to be a better person. Life meaningfulness is correlated positively with religiosity and authoritative parenting style. This independent variable describes religiosity as consistently appreciating and bringing oneself closer to God and authoritative parents as being able to foster individual awareness to perceive the condition in accordance with appropriate understanding and action.Keyword: religiosity, authoritative parenting, positive relationship, meaningfulnes

Child sexual abuse is known to cause adverse effects for its victims, one of them is problem sexual behavior. Problem sexual behavior is sexually oriented behavior done by child aged 12 years or younger and it is developmentally inappropriate or could be harmful for themselves and others. One of the longer term effect is the victim may become sexual offenders if not treated seriously. One of the intervention that can treat problem sexual behavior is Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy or TF-CBT. This review aims to determine the effectivity of TF-CBT. The studies are collected from Science Direct, ProQuest, Sage Journal, Springer Link, Scopus, EBSCO and several repository. The inclusion criteria used are the studies must be RCT, subjects are child victim of sexual abuse who showed problem sexual behavior, the behavior is measured with CSBI (Child Sexual Behavior Inventory) and used TF-CBT as intervention. The result shows that the use of TF-CBT may not be effective for decreasing problem sexual behavior. There are some factors that affect the effectivity of TF-CBT, such as participant’s age, cognition, intensity of trauma and other psychological disorders. However, TF-CBT is potential for decreasing problem sexual behavior because it is directive and uses various behavioral strategies

A Multidimensional Concept of Mental Workload: A Systematic Review

    Get PDF
The concept of mental workload is fully used and leads to various theoretical and methodological models. For this purpose, we are conducted in the same way as a systematic review for understanding the concept and a factor that identifies work and work situations that affect personal tasks, or mental workload field. A systematic review was obtained from scientific papers issued from 2010-to 2021. Mental workload is multidimensional, so that a conceptual definition of mental workload should therefore integrally encompass the most elementary dimensions of mental workload. In general, most factors affected mental workloads, including working environments, individual differences, temporal pressure, and task difficulty/compliance complexity. Techniques for assessing subjective workloads are popular in several studies because of their ease of use and sensitivity to workload fluctuations. The NASATLX scale is the most common subjective technique and is used in a wide range of fields. Subjective and objective measurements cannot even measure all kinds of factors that affect mental distress. The main difficulty facing researchers is establishing standardized measurements of mental workload and its normal range so that effective comparisons can be made between groups of subjects. These results can provide measurement development recommendations using three approaches: subjective, objective, and behavioral. Keywords: mental workload; measurement; workload factor

Religious Tolerance and Its Connection with Parenting Style: Examining from Four Dimensions

    No full text
Religious tolerance is a fundamental part of Indonesia, a country with diversity in religions and beliefs. As an attempt to serve social, political, and cultural stability among groups in Indonesia, Indonesians agreed to live together in harmony through the Pancasila, where all religions and beliefs must be honored. Therefore, specific beliefs and attitudes in how we live in Indonesia must be addressed since early childhood through education in school, public, and family. Parenting style becomes one of the significant issues affecting children's life span development so that they can be excellent as the future generation. This argument is constructed based on the previous studies that parenting style affects the perception and behavior of children. Therefore, this study examines the connection between parenting style and religious tolerance as the dependent variable. The result shows that based on four dimensions of parenting style, participants with the authoritative style show a higher score on the religious tolerance scale. In contrast, participants with neglecting style tend to have the lowest score in religious tolerance. This result reveals that parenting might be considered in child development and fulfilling child rights

The aim of this research is to describe active play among children in Jakarta during the COVID-19 pandemic. Active play is necessary for optimal child development, yet there are a lot of restriction to do so amidst the pandemic. Therefore, it is important to understand how children allowed active play while being restricted spatially. Main data were collected using semi structured online interview, analysed using qualitative descriptive approach. Four mothers of children from three to four years old participated, chosen purposively as typical samples. All of the four children involve in active play and show that the domain of locomotor, object, social and pretend play are present. The intensity of children to play outdoor seems less than usual. Since most of the activities are home-based, children often feel annoyed, outraged, and cry easier than they usually do. However, the problem can be solved if supportive environment is available that is parents are involved in active play every day during the pandemic

The strategic role of leadership on organizational performance is the reason why this topic continues to be researched in research and practical studies. Female leaders in Indonesia are still faced with the problem of a narrow symbolic idealization perspective such as feeling it is impossible to achieve success in both the domestic and public fields, and also feeling guilty for violating. The nature of women Therefore, awareness of the power of work and family is important for female leaders because by creating positive feelings, individuals will have a broad perspective in influencing other roles and aspects of their lives. Work family strength (WFS) is a positive experience brought from work roles as well as roles in the family. For that we need a measurement related to work family strength (WFS). So far, research related to female leaders is more related to work family conflict, for this reason the research provides updates related to positive things, namely work family strength, especially in measuring tools. The absence of adaptation in other languages is deemed necessary to adapt the work family strength scale in Indonesian. Adaptation is carried out based on the guidelines for adapting measuring instruments from the International Test Commission (ITC), which includes a forward - backward translation process, followed by expert review to test language and conceptual equivalence. The validation process is carried out by testing content validity, through the Content Validity Index (CVI), and construct validity, using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The trial was conducted on 300 female leaders who work in for-profit companies, who work more than 40 hours/week and have families (husbands or children). Based on this trial process, it is known that each indicator, dimension, and construct meets all the criteria for Goodness of Fit (RMSEA < 0.08; CFI > 0.9). In addition, the value of Construct Reliability (CR) > 0.70 and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) > 0.50 were also obtained. Thus, the work family strength scale can be used as a valid and reliable measuring tool. Keywords : Work Family Strengths, Women Leader, Confirmatory Factor Analysi
