Experiences of Secondary School Administrators in the Implementation of Distance Learning Delivery Modality in the New Normal
The coronavirus outbreak had provided varied challenges to the school administrators in managing the schools. This qualitative study determined the experiences of 20 secondary school heads of the Ozamiz City Division. Through a phenomenological approach, this research endeavor comprised a series of interviews and focus group discussions in gathering the data, which were categorized into themes using Van Manen’s thematic analysis. The five central themes are (1) Preparing Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) for Distance Learning, (2) Attending virtual meetings and webinars, (3) performance monitoring and evaluation, (4) conducting assessment activities, and (5) managing administrative tasks. The school heads had different experiences as they performed the function of administrative support in preparation for the school's readiness for the implementation of distance learning. The researchers concluded that although some school heads find the implementation challenging due to varied preparations that need to be done, they still persevere in implementing the program. The optimism of the school heads in implementing distance learning was very strong. The study recommends that school administrators be trained on time management and stress management so they can cope smoothly with the challenges brought about by education during the pandemic.
Application of BIM in Energy Conservation in Low-Cost Housing in Case of Study in Dallas Independent School Residential District, Texas
Building Information Modeling is used to build and manage data throughout the project lifecycle from design, construction, and operations. In this technology, multi-threaded data is used to create detailed virtual views in a cloud platform, which allows project members to collaborate in real-time without wasting time. It can also operate and manage the building by using the data that the owners of the building or structure have access to. This data allows governments, municipalities, and property managers to make informed decisions based on information derived from the model, even after the building is constructed. This research, using quantitative methodology, aims to investigate the current state of BIM performance regarding the approaches of converting "affordable residential housing" to "green affordable housing" by reducing the cost of maintaining units and improving their quality with a focus on saving in energy through the implementation of construction details using BIM. In this regard, the Independent School Residential District in Dallas, Texas, and the residential complex built by the government for low-income groups were selected. The main question of the research is whether the behavioral modeling of the residents and the building together can act as an efficiency tool to increase the energy efficiency in the building. Finally, it was found that in low-cost housing such as social housing produced in Texas under the title of housing for low-income society, building information modeling along with user behavior modeling of these buildings together can be a powerful tool to increase building productivity and reducing current costs in the hands of designers and builders
On the Translation of Developing Successful Creative& Cultural Clusters
Due to its unique value orientation, extensive area of coverage and rapid growth rate, the cultural and creative industry has injected new vitality into the development of world economy and become the strategic industry of all countries and cities in the world. With the further development of cultural and creative industry, how to maintain sustainable development and keep competitive advantages of cultural and creative industries has prompted scholars to deepen their researches. At present, all kinds of cultural industry clusters in China are developing rapidly. Although the research of cultural and creative industry cluster has gradually become a research hot spot, it still cannot meet the actual needs. Therefore, reports on creative and cultural clusters are of great importance. And more attention should be paid on translation of creative and cultural clusters reports. At present, there are relatively few studies on the translation of economic reports in China. The translator, under the guidance of functional equivalence, completes the report on English-Chinese translation of Developing Successful Creative & Cultural Clusters. The original text, published in 2017, is an economic report. This translation report analyzes the characteristics of economic texts in terms of lexicon, syntax and discourse. Economic reports are more formal, professional and logical. At the same time, according to the concept that functional equivalence pays more attention to the content and result of translation, the translator adopts strategies such as division, amplification, change of parts of speech and change of voice to solve problems encountered during the translation of this text, featured by lots of long and difficult sentence structures and so on. This report is of great reference value for all countries to make economic decisions.Key Words:Economic Report Translation; Functional Equivalence; Translation Strategies
On Pun in Corporate Mission Statements of China’s Enterprises: Categories and C-E Translation
Pun, a typical figure of speech, usually has a surface meaning and an underlying meaning. Pun is frequently employed in Chinese corporate mission statements (CMS), but there exists a lack of corresponding discussion and research. This paper firstly analyses CMS of China’s Top 500 enterprises as examples, then roughly classifies pun in CMS into three categories, namely, homophonic pun, semantic pun and grammatical pun. In order to perform the informative and vocative function of CMS, two corresponding translation strategies are proposed with the guidance of Peter Newmark’s text typology and communicative translation, that is, fit translation and paraphrasing pun in two terms. This paper contributes to enriching the research content and research perspective of China’ corporate mission statements and pun
Providing a Pattern and Planning Method for Footpaths and Sidewalks to Protect Deteriorated and Vulnerable Urban Contexts
This research seeks to answer this question to prevent the waste of capital in routes without potential and allocate facilities and facilities to routes with potential to encourage people to move on foot on short trips. Through what criteria and indicators can the existing potential of the roads be measured, and as a result, by finding the optimal routes for pedestrian traffic, one of the most important problems of the public's lack of acceptance of non-motorized transportation can be solved. At first, by using the descriptive-analytical research method, through library studies, the existing literature in this field and also the experiences of other countries of the world and Iran have been investigated. In this way, the theoretical framework of the research has been formed and effective criteria and indicators have been extracted in measuring the potential of roads for pedestrian movement. In this way, four criteria of land use, traffic safety, security, attractiveness, and comfort have been defined. The extracted criteria and sub-criteria are valued through the process of hierarchical analysis and the Delphi method. In the next step, by using the case-based research method, the data related to the sub-criteria at the level of the roads in the study area are collected through observation and interview entered into the geographic information system, and finally analyzed by the geographic information system and in some cases, The layout of the space (to measure the network continuity) is done and the routes with potential for pedestrian movement are extracted. Finally, from the summation of the weighted values obtained for each of the roads regarding land use criteria, traffic safety, security attractiveness, and comfort, the final score of each of the roads in the study area (intended statistical population) about the potential Passages are obtained to create suitable routes for pedestrian traffic

Applying Fuzzy Logic and Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) in the Design of Residential Spaces; Case of Study: Arak City
Today, quality is measured in the form of sustainable architecture in the areas of meeting the physical needs of users. If architectural paradigms that include people's emotions and psyche have been neglected then this issue causes spiritual and even cultural and social losses. As a result, the quality value of the building has decreased. With this perspective, the present plan is trying to achieve a design with a phenomenological approach that is evaluated from the point of view of the end users of the buildings, so that it is finally considered to be of high quality. The methodology of this research is quantitative, and the data collection tool is a questionnaire. The data analysis tool is the use of Riashi's equations through Expert Choice software. Also MATLAB software version 2018 is used for fuzzy logic. After collecting the fuzzy weight differences of each building concerning each criterion, it still cannot be used as a ranking. Finally, after the analyses done by the researchers in this research through research tools, the proposed designs for the design of buildings that will be built in Arak City according to the indicators and evaluations of this research have been displayed
Spatial Configuration as a Method to Measure the Actual and Potential Ability of Spaces Used by Indoor and Outdoor Users
Paying attention to native architecture and at the same time new approaches to its reading has always been one of the topics of interest in architecture. A better understanding of the native architecture of each region leads to better design and greater adaptability of the design to its context. Therefore, in this research, we have investigated and analyzed the native housing of Iran with a case study of Yazd to design a residential complex with the indicators of native houses in the past. Due to the ever-increasing growth of technology and the evolution of attitudes toward understanding architecture, the method of reading native architecture in this research is a relatively new technique called spatial syntax and spatial configuration. In this study, a mixed research method was used. In this way, descriptive and analytical methods have been used to understand the reading of data and finally, logical reasoning has been used to provide design solutions. Different tools have been used to achieve the goal, such as library search and specialized software, and collecting questionnaires and analytical information are some of the things that have been used in this research. This research is based on the information collected with two main methods, quantitative and qualitative, from the basis of the plan of collecting readings of native architecture using new techniques and attitudes of architecture such as the theory of space syntax. Identification of socio-cultural indicators, such as workforce, culture and jobs of the future, the future of cyber security and related careers, care economy, opportunities and jobs, the future of digital currencies and related businesses, future cities, a platform for the emergence of future jobs, the role and place of higher education in the future of jobs and future jobs, etc. was done
