    SEISMIC RESPONSES OF RC FRAME WITH DIFFERENT ARRANGEMENT OF MASONRY INFILL WALL

    This study presents the suitability of using macro model (strut model) for analyzing the seismic responses of single-story single-span reinforced concrete frames having different arrangement of masonry infill wall with openings by com­par­ing its results with those using micro model (wall-element model). From the result, the infill masonry wall increases the stiffness of RC frame structure. Meanwhile, the dia­gonal strut model will give smaller natural frequencies than wall-element model. When the part of the wall opening causes the wall to have no contact with a column, short column effect will be introduced in the column. Wall-element model can predict better the short column effect than the strut model. Although under static lateral load re­placing masonry infill wall by diagonal strut was considered to be suitable for com­puting the response structure behaviour for the case without any opening in infill wall, but it is not the case for the dynamic analysis

    Soft Skill Differences between the Application of Student Learning Group In­vestigation and Conventional Mo­­­­del at Mechanical Engineering Program in Vo­ca­tio­­­­­nal High School. The purpose of this study was to describe: (1) the students soft skills level before and after the implementation of the student learning using group in­vestigation (GI) and conventional, and (2) the students soft skill differences using the GI learning and con­­­­ventional model.The research was a quantitative research. This re­search used a quasi-experimental  de­­­sign, and the research design used the Non-Equi­valent Groups pretest-posttest de­sign. The re­­­sults showed that: (1) the level of soft skills using the application of the GI model on average ​​increased by 6.14, and (2) the level of soft skills using the ap­pli­ca­­­tion of conventional models on average de­creased by 1.11. As a conclusion, there was a significant difference between the stu­dents soft skills using the ap­­plication of theGI and conventional model, and the soft skills for the in­tro­duc­ti­on of GI mo­­dels was better than the conventional model. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) soft skill siswa sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan pembelajaran group investigation  ( dan konvensional, dan (2) Je­­nis pe­ne­­­litian merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, rancangan penelitian eks­pe­ri­men semu, se­­­dangkan desain penelitian Non-Equivalent Groups Pretest-Posttest De­­sign. Ha­sil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat keterampilan soft skill de­ngan pe­ne­rap­an model GI mengalami peningkatan margin nilai sebesar 6,14, dan (2) ting­­­kat ke­te­ram­­pilan soft skill dengan penerapan model konvensional tidak meng­alami kenaikan ni­lai, tetapi mengalami penurunan margin nilai sebesar 1,11. Ada per­be­­­daan yang sig­ni­fikan soft skill siswa antara penerapan model GI dan konvensional, un­­­tuk pengantar soft skill model GI lebih baik dibanding dengan model konvensional

    PERANCANGAN PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK PASANG SURUT AIR LAUT

    Designing a Tidal Power Plant in Mangatasik Minahasa. This research aims to de­sign a tidal powerplant in Mangatasik Minahasa. Data is collected through observations and measurements using GPS, and analyzed using a computer program. Then, the analysis of data is used to design a tidal power plant. The results show that the potential tidal wave in North Sulawesi has a maximum height of 207.68 cm. This tidal wave has a potential electrical energy of 85.57 kilo Joule and potential electrical power of 30.38 kilo Watt. The dam is designed using con­crete buis filled with gravel and covered with a mixture of concrete and equipped with a three water gate. The water turbin is designed using a propeller turbine model type of undershot and made from fiberglass or stainless steel material. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan rancangan pembangkit listrik pasang surut air laut di Mangatasik Minahasa. Data didapat melalui pengamatan dan pengukuran meng­gu­na­kan GPS, serta dianalisis menggunakan program komputer. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis di­gu­na­kan untuk merancang pembangkit listrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan potensi gelombang pa­sang surut di Sulawesi Utara mem­punyai tinggi maksimum 207,68 cm. Gelombang pasang surut ini memiliki potensi energi listrik mencapai 85,57 kilo Joule dan daya listrik 30,38 kilo Watt. Ran­cangan dam/bendungan menggunakan buis beton yang diisi dengan sirtu padat dan ditutup de­ngan campuran beton dan dilengkapi dengan 3 pintu air.     Competency achieving of industrial practice be evaluated from student perceptions of the place’s qualifications, guiding, and feed­back on Mechanical Engineering Competency at Vocational High School. The purpose of this study is to know the competency achieving of industrial practice that are evaluated from student perceptions of the place’s qualifications, guiding, and feed­back. This research is a descriptive research. The instruments used in this research are a questionnaire and documentation. The research sample is determined using a disproportionate stratified random sampling of 190 students. The results show that (1) levels of acvhievement of students’ prakerin competence are varied depend upon the perception of the prakerin place’s qualification, mentoring, and feedback given by the instructors and tutor teachers; and (2) there are significant differences in terms of students achievement based on the per­cep­tion of the level of place’s qualification, guiding, and models of prakerin feedback.Tujuan pene­li­ti­an ini adalah mengetahui capaian kom­pe­tensi prakerin ditinjau dari persepsi siswa tentang kualifikasi tempat, pembimbingan, dan umpan balik. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dan dokumentasi. Sampel pene­li­ti­an ditentukan dengan metode dispro­portionate stratified random sampling sebesar 190 siswa. Hasil penelitian (1) tingkat pencapaian kompetensi prakerin siswa ber­beda sesuai persepsi tentang kualifikasi tempat prakerin, pembimbingan, dan umpan balik yang diberikan oleh instruktur dan guru pamong; dan (2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pencapaian kompetensi siswa ditinjau dari per­sep­si tentang tingkat kualifikasi tempat, pembimbingan, dan model umpan balik pra­kerin

    Designing Vocational Learning with a Worker Character in SMK. Vocatio­nal learning in a perspective of the 2013 curriculum for vocational senior high school (SMK) aims to provide vocational competencies to the students according to the area of expertise that the students desired. A vocational competency must be considered as an integrated demonstration of a group of related skills (cognive and technical skills) as well as observable and measurable attitudes that are necessary to perform a job independently at a certain proficiency level. In that context, a personal’s attitudes to perform a job can be considered as worker characters that some experts called as generic skills. Developing character characters in vocational learning (lesson group C2 and C3 in the 2013 curriculum) must be conducted by the lecturer using by design approch, which is started from identifying employees’ character values that will be integrated, developing syllabus and lesson plan (RPP) of the vocational learn­ing instruction.Pembelajaran kejuruan dalam perspektif kurikulum 2013 untuk SMK di­maksudkan untuk memberikan bekal kompetensi kejuruan kepada para peserta didik sesuai dengan paket keahlian yang diminatinya. Suatu kompetensi kejuruan harus dipandang sebagai suatu demonstrasi terintegrasi sekelompok kecakapan (kognitif dan teknikal) dan sikap yang terobservasi dan terukur yang diperlukan untuk melaku­kan suatu pekerjaan tertentu pada level tertentu. Dalam konteks tersebut sikap untuk melakukan suatu pekerjaan dapat dimaknai sebagai karakter pekerja yang oleh para ahli disebut sebagai generic skills.     PENERAPAN MODEL CTL BERBASIS NHT DAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF STRATEGI EXPERT GROUP TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR TIK

    The Implementation of the NHT-based CTL Model and the Cooperative Learning Model of Expert Group Strategy on ICT learning achievement. The purpose of this study is to know: (1) the results of the implementation of NHT-based CTL model and the cooperative learning model of expert group strategy, and (2) the differences between the implementation of NHT-based CTL model with the co­operative learning model of expert group strategy on the ICT achievement. This study used a quasi-experimental design that involved two classes. The results show that: (1) the learning achievement of the class that apply NHT-based CTL model and the coope­rative learning model of expert group strategy are 83.08 and 80.45 respectively; and (2) There are differences between the implementation of NHT-based CTL model and the cooperative learning model of expert group strategy on the ICT learning achieve­ment. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) hasil belajar pada penerapan model CTL berbasis NHT dan model pembelajaran kooperatif strategi expert group; dan (2) perbedaan hasil belajar pada penerapan model CTL berbasis NHT dengan model pem­belajaran kooperatif strategi expert group. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis eksperimen semu dengan melibatkan dua kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kelas dengan penerapan model CTL berbasis NHT memiliki nilai hasil belajar 83,08, sedangkan  kelas dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif strategi expert group memiliki hasil belajar 80,45; dan (2) perbedaan penerapan model CTL berbasis NHT dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif strategi expert group terhadap hasil belajar TIK

    PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR POLA DASAR BUSANA WANITA PADA PROGRAM STUDI D3 TATA BUSANA

    Teaching Materials Development of the Basic Pattern of Women's Clothing on Clothing Design Program. The purpose of this development is to pro­­duce teaching materials of archetypal body of woman fashion, whichis equipped with a Power Po­int in order to assist faculty and students on conducting learning ac­ti­vi­ty. The research development me­thod used was adapted from the instructional de­sign model of Dick and Carey. The results of the study in the form of assess­ment/feedback showed that the mean score reached 86.00%, which meant that the teaching materials categorized as well qualify­ed/ decent, the media has a very good Power Point as it re­ached 91.00%, the lecturers gui­de reached 92.00% and catehorized as ex­cell­ent/ve­ry decent, and the students guide achieved 83.00% and categorized as good/de­cent. Thus, the teaching material is feasible to be used as the instructional materials for learning on Clothing Design Program. Tujuan pengembangan ini un­­­tuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar po­­la dasar ba­dan busana wanita dilengkapi de­ngan Power Point, sehingga dapat membantu dosen dan mahasiswa dalam me­lak­sa­na­kan pembelajaran. Metode penelitian pengembangan yang digunakan diadaptasi dari ran­­­cangan pembelajaran model Dick dan Carey. Hasil pe­nelitian berupa penilaian/tanggapan menunjukan rerata skor bah­­wa bahan ajar mencapai 86,00% termasuk ke da­lam kualifikasi baik/layak, media Po­­wer Point termasuk sangat baik karena men­capai 91,00%, pan­­duan dosen mencapai 92,00% termasuk ke dalam kualifikasi sangat ba­ik/sa­­­­ngat layak, dan panduan ma­ha­siswa mencapai 83,00% termasuk kua­lifikasi ba­ik/la­yak, dengan demikian bahan ajar ter­­sebut layak digunakan untuk pem­­b­e­lajaran pada Program Studi D3Tata Busana

    The Implementation of Creative and Pro­duc­tive Lesson Study Learning on The Road Pavement Engineering Course to Improve Student Learning Out­comes at S1Tecnical Building Education Study Program. The purpose of this stu­dy is: to im­prove the student learning outcomes in Road Pavement Engineering cour­se throu­gh the application of the creative and productive learning. This sub­jects of the study are the students who were taking the Road Pavement En­gineer­ing course in the first se­mester of 2012/2013 in Study Program of S1 Technical Buil­ding Educations TS FT UM. In terms of its implementation, this research stu­dy was classified as a class ac­ti­on research. The results show that the learning out­comes of each open class is in­cre­a­­­­­s­ing and the collegiality, community learn­ing, and continuity appears. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pa­da Mata­kuliah Teknik Perkerasan Jalan melalui penerapan pembelajaran berbasis Kre­­a­tif dan Produktif.
