EFFECTS OF ANTHROPOMETRIC VARIABLES ON SPORT PERFORMANCE OF MALE UNIVERSITY CHAMPION-HANDBALLERS IN WEST AFRICA (NIGERIA)
This study focused on the effects of anthropometric variables on male handball champions in West Africa. An ex-post facto research design was adopted. The population of all male handball players in the West African University Games (University of Ilorin; University of Ghana and University of Abomey-Calavi) were participants in the study. Two research instruments were adopted in this study this includes measuring tape and a standard handball court. Census sampling technique was used to select all 37 players available during the contest. Census method is the method of statistical enumeration where all members of the population are studied . These players composed of (Wrist (cm) 18.88, Chest (cm) 17.78, mid-thigh(cm) 18.35, Wrist (cm) 91.96, Chest (cm) 95.02, mid-thigh 89.83, Wrist (cm) 49.37, mid-thigh 55.04, Wrist (cm) 49.26).
To test a substantive difference between the groups determined at 0.05alpha significant levels, descriptive and inferential statistics for t test and ANOVA Scheffe post hoc, multiple comparison tests were adopted. The results of this study showed that men players had considerable differences in anthropometric measurements. As the men's players were significantly different in the handle circumference (f=4.624>3.32 (0.05) df36); chest circumference (f=.750<3.32(0.05) df36). Coaches were recommended to focus on these variables in selecting and coaching processes (Wrist circumference, Chest curvature, Thigh). This study also recommends that this profiling should be adopted in players’ selection and the development of sport specific programs.
Key words: Anthropometric, Performance, Wrist girth.

Research society was all physical education teacher of Hamedan province consist of 800 people. The sample was estimated using Morgan table and the total number of 235 questionnaires returned and analyzed. After detecting the normal distribution of data using kolmogorov-smirnov test, independent t test and one way ANOVA were applied to test the hypothesis. A significant difference found among the mean of job interest and economic factor in samples compare to the society. In other words, teacher’s interest was higher than the average and also, the economic factors are not the main reason to choose their job. Also, significant difference found between the mean of social status of chosen jobs in sample compare to the mean of society. it means that based on respondents ideas, the social status of jobs such as seller, barber, waiter and taxi driver is lower than physical education teacher and this status is higher for physician, employee and non- physical education teacher. SELF-EFFICACY SCALE VALIDATION AMONG FOOTBALL PLAYERS (ALGERIA)
The purpose of this study was to adapt the Algerian football players of general self-efficacy scale (GSES) developed by Schwarzer & Jerusalem (1995) which were adapted into more than thirty-three languages. The study conducted on a total of 216 male football players, ranging in age from 15-18 years. After translating the scale according to the local language, it was presented to specialists in psychology and sports psychology to formulate it to suit the applied category. the principal components analysis with varimax rotation was used for the construct validity. The results indicated that there are two-factor structure, the two factors together explained 54.5 % of the total variance. The reliability scales were found by Alpha Cronbach coefficient (0.79). These results confirmed that the self-efficacy scale among football players valid and reliable. It is necessary to conduct future studies in the local culture and on different sports and ages
A PROPOSED HABILITATION PROGRAM TO IMPROVE SOME RESPIRATORY SIGNS USING AQUA-AEROBIC EXERCISES TO REDUCE THE INTENSITY AND SEVERITY OF ASTHMA ATTACKS AMONG CHILDREN
The aim of this study was to propose a rehabilitation program using aqua-aerobic exercises and to determine its effect on some respiratory indicators (forced Expiratory Volume in first Second Fev1, Peak Expiratory Flow PEF, and the Forced Vital Capacity FVC), and improve the respiratory functions to reduce the intensity and severity of asthma attacks for asthmatic children. This program was applied to a sample of 09 children with light to severe asthma and who are involved in the Asthma Association in Mostaganem. The application period lasted 20 weeks, with three training units per week. We relied on the experimental approach and used one group as a sample. Moreover we adopted pre and post measurements in addition to interstitial measurements at the end of each month using a Spirolab device. The results showed statistically significant differences between the pre and post measurement in the values of respiratory indicators, in favor of the latter. This proves that aqua-aerobic exercises improve the function and efficiency of the respiratory system, and thus reduce the severity of asthma attacks for asthmatic childre
