Griya Boedaya: komoditas wahana berliterasi budaya sebagai wujud pengenalan budaya lokal di Jawa Timur
The existing knowledge in society has not been spread explicitly. Thus local knowledge is still unknown to the people in the region itself. This study aimed to provide information related to the dissemination of local knowledge applied to cultural literacy programs form: ideas, behavior, and artifacts or works. The kind of the idea is stated in a paper, the behavior is shown in community activities, and artifacts are contained in works in the form of objects as results of activities and actions. The main focus is on basic human needs: clothing and food applied through Griya Boedaya tour. Clothing consists of typical East Javanese fabrics, while food consists of East Javanese specialties. The culture produced reflects the characteristics of the environment. Thus it has features standing out that becomes the identity of the local community’s culture. In the East Java region, knowledge is an invisible or intangible local asset owned by people in the area. This study used the literature method with qualitative approach by searching for books, e-journals, proceedings, thesis and articles. Results of the people’s knowledge in the form of typical food and unique clothing were a manifestation of people's expression of their environment. Griya Boedaya introduces local cultures such as regional cloth and cuisine and is a tourist means which introduces history, creation process, work systems, tools used, and the use and philosophy of local cultural products. Hopefully, the cultural literacy tour will enable people to recognize, know, and understand their culture with easy-to-understand and fun methods
Berbagi pengetahuan sebagai pembelajaran organisasi di Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia
Knowledge sharing process is an interactive communication activity between individuals, aimed at increasing each individual’s competence. An organization shares knowledge as an organizational learning medium so the organization can continue to grow and update information owned by individuals. This study discussed the knowledge sharing process in organizational learning at the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (PERPUSNAS). As the parent library institution in Indonesia, PERPUSNAS has a vital role in improving the quality of librarians, through organizational learning in the form of knowledge sharing activities. This research was conducted to determine the process of applying knowledge sharing, which included aspects of knowledge sharing behavior and the benefits of its application in organizational learning in PERPUSNAS Preservation and Conservation Sub-Division. This qualitative research used a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. Based on study results, the knowledge sharing process in organizational learning at PERPUSNAS consisted of four aspects, including aspects of subjective norms, attitudes, aspects of behavioral control, and social networking. Librarians in the subjective norm, always directly accepted new policies from superiors. Regarding attitude, librarians succeeded in bringing the organizational direction in a better and non-monotonous direction. Regarding the behavioral control aspect, PERPUSNAS maximized staff potentials by giving the freedom to work outside the sub-field. Also, social networking issues added to the librarian’s convenience when sharing knowledge through social media groups, such as WhatsApp. Knowledge sharing activities at PERPUSNAS become a means to improve individual competencies to become better human resources
Analisis faktor memilih karier jabatan fungsional pustakawan di Perpustakaan Pusat Universitas Padjadjaran
Choosing the type of job for a civil servant is the first step to establishing a career. A civil servant can opt for several careers. One of which is the functional librarian, through the librarian at the skill level and the librarian at the expertise level. Many factors are the background of career selection for civil servants who choose the functional librarian so that the librarian profession can develop both in quantity and quality. This study aimed to determine the civil servant's factors choosing the functional librarian at Universitas Padjadjaran in Bandung. This research used a descriptive method through a qualitative approach, by distributing questionnaires conducted from December 7, 2017, to December 15, 2017. The total number of population sampel was 100 people. Based on the study results, the conclusions are that many of the a civil servant choose the functional librarian due leadership encouragement, to the opportunity to move up the rank/class faster and the expectation of increased income. The job for a civil servant choose the functional librarian because of the opportunity to move up the rank faster to increase income. In addition, educational staff as functional positions to get a level or a career that is better than the job previous condition. Meanwhile, the job for a civil servant basically already have expertise in the field of library science in the different degrees
Kinerja pengelolaan arsip Kantor Pelayanan Utama Bea dan Cukai Tipe A Tanjung Priok
The dynamic records management of goods import notification documents is an essential activity in storing data on goods entering Indonesia. The Main Service Office for Customs and Excise Type A Tanjung Priok as a government agency is obliged to record incoming goods as trade data. This study aimed to determine the dynamic records management of imported goods notification (PIB) documents on customs activities for the success of dwelling time at the Main Service Office for Customs and Excise Type A Tanjung Priok. The research method used a case study through a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and document study. The results showed the process of recording imported goods document notifications through the process of creating and receiving import documents began from the delivery of imported goods document notification (PIB) to the Customs Office. Submitting of the notifications was through the Electronic Data Exchange (PDE) system to the determination of the document path for 4 minutes. The organization process of notification documents for imported goods goes through 5 stages, namely, distribution of documents, the process of completing customs administration of imported goods documents, storing the processed documents, rediscovering documents, and maintaining imported goods documents. The process of dissemination at the Customs and Excise agency itself is inseparable from a system called Customs-Excise Integrated System and Automation (CEISA). The system is an integrated system of all Directorate General Customs and Excise services to all public service users. Their can access this system without limited space and place
Tindakan vandalisme di Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Padjadjaran
The library is prone to vandalism towards library collections. The Faculty of Communication Sciences library as a university library often experiences vandalism, ranging from labeling, tearing up, page folding, delay in returning books, and loss of books. This study aimed to determine the cognitive aspects of the sub-variables of knowledge and understanding of users on the act of vandalism in the Library of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University. The research method used descriptive survey method through a quantitative approach. This study included 121 respondents consisting of students of Faculty of Communication Sciences, class of 2015 who were selected using simple random sampling technique with distribution of respondent composition: Public Relations 10 respondents, Communication Sciences 47 respondents, Information and Library Science 22 respondents, Journalism 16 respondents, Communication Management 18 respondents, and TV and Film 8 respondents. Study results showed that the cognitive aspects of the users in the act of vandalism were in the category of high and favorable, the users had knowledge and understanding which supported according to the statement about the attitude proposed against acts of vandalism. Based on knowledge indicators, data obtained showed respondents did not agree with vandalism act, while based on the indicators of understanding, data obtained showed respondents agree that vandalism could harm the library users. Overall, the attitude of users is in the favorable category meaning that library users support disagreement on vandalism in the Library of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University
Hubungan perilaku pencarian informasi dengan pemanfaatan media pembelajaran Edmodo
Edmodo is one of the electronic learning or e-learning platforms that have advantages, one of which is a display similar to Facebook's social media. This study aimed to determine the relationship of the information-seeking behavior of students of ‘Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri’ (SMKN -Vocational High School) 1, Bandung, with the utilization of Edmodo learning media. This study examined the relationship between the drive for needs, creating change, and environmental activities with the utilization of Edmodo learning media. The method used a correlation study with a quantitative approach. The population in the study were students of class X SMKN 1 Bandung, amounting to 448 people. The sample of this study was 150 people. This research used the information-seeking behavior theory from Krikelas and the concept of Information Technology (IT) Utilization from Thompson. The correlation test analysis technique used Pearson Product Moment (PPM). The results showed that the drive for needs, creating change, and environmental activities, all had a significant relationship with Edmodo learning media. This study concludes that the relationship of information-seeking behavior with the utilization of Edmodo learning media has a low level of closeness. This condition is due to several factors, for Edmodo still functions as a complementary tool and diversity of other learning resources that support student information-seeking activities at SMKN1, Bandung.
Hubungan kualitas informasi website RS Paru Dr. H. A. Rotinsulu dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi
The official website of an institution on the quality of information about the institution's profile and the services offered at the institution can help for people who need information about hospital services. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the quality of information on the official website of Dr. H.A. Rotinsulu Hospital and meeting the information needs of visitors. This study used a quantitative correlational method with a study population of visitors to Dr. HA Rotinsulu, Lung Hospital website, who conducted online consultations, with a sample of 50 respondents was obtained. Research data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The inferential correlation test used a simple linear regression analysis test using the product moment formula. The results showed a significant relationship between the quality of information, both from indicators of accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of information, with the fulfillment of cognitive needs and personal integrity of website visitors. This was proven by testing the mayor hypothesis, and the calculation results obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.738 with a coefficient of determination of 0.544. Furthermore, it got a tcount of 8,253 and a ttable of 1,677. Thus, the tcount was higher than the ttable, so the hypothesis was accepted. This means that website visitors considered that the information presented had high accuracy, high punctuality, and high relevance to meet cognitive needs and personal integrity. Then, the information presented on Dr. H.A. Rotinsulu Hospital website is of high quality and can meet the information needs of its visitors
Literasi informasi masyarakat Desa Paseban, Kecamatan Kencong, Kabupaten Jember melalui budaya ‘marung’
The ‘marung’ culture is a custom of the people of Paseban village. The ‘marung’ activity is a means to relax after work, ward off feelings of loneliness by meeting neighbors, and sharing information. This becomes a potential for information literacy. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the factors underlying the formation of ‘marung’ culture and information literacy. The research method used qualitative research method. The data collection technique used was observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis steps in this study were (1) condensation of data, (2) presentation of data, and (3) drawing conclusions and verification. The data credibility test used: source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The result of this study showed ‘marung’ culture was formed based on the history of the village community to set strategies of defending themselves from Dutch colonialism by creating ‘cangkrukan’/gathering habits. After the Dutch colonial period ended, this ‘cangkrukan’ habit became attached to the village community. The ‘warung’ was considered the most strategic place for ‘cangkrukan’. This place can accommodate all people from various backgrounds to chat, have fun, establish ‘silaturahmi’/hospitality, relax from daily activities, and get the information needed. ‘Marung’ culture fulfills four cultural systems, namely: culture, social, personality, and organism. ‘Marung’ culture is very closely related to information literacy and Hubermas' theory of public space. The Paseban village community has implemented the IFLA information literacy standard in supporting its work, from the access, evaluation, to usage stages
Pengaruh ISO 9001: 2015, motivasi, dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja pustakawan di Perpustakaan Universitas Hasanuddin
Motivation and competence can be variables that affect the level of librarian performance. ISO 9001: 2015 can also affect librarian performance as there is a quality management system clause that focuses on human resources in the organization. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to find out and analyze the influence of ISO 9001: 2015, motivation, and competence partially and simultaneously on the performance of librarians in the UNHAS Library. This study used quantitative survey research, with a total population of 42 people. The sample was the entire population. The results showed that motivation and competence partially had a significant effect on the performance of librarians. This is consistent with the opinions of several experts and relevant studies. Furthermore, ISO 9001: 2015 did not have a significant partial effect. These findings indicated that ISO in the UNHAS Library could not reach the realm of librarian performance improvement, one of which was due to the lack of librarian understanding of commitment and quality policy in ISO 9001: 2015. Based on the f test, it discovered that simultaneously, all independent variables had a significant effect on the dependent variable of 53,863. In conclusion, based on the regression test, it finds out ISO 9001: 2015 has no partial effect; however, it is simultaneous when integrated with motivation and competence variables, whereas motivation and competence variables can partially influence the performance of the UNHAS Library librarian
Implementasi literasi budaya dan kewargaan sebagai solusi disinformasi pada generasi millennial di Indonesia
The emergence of disinformation phenomena that occur currently in the millennial generation is due to the easy-going attitude that believes in the information obtained without looking at the truth or examining the credibility of the information source. Eventually, the millennial generation does not have the analytical thinking process of using information. The purpose of this study was to get a picture of disinformation that occurred in the millennial generation and explained the application of cultural literacy and citizenship as a solution to overcome disinformation. The research used the literature study method with a qualitative approach. Data collection used primary and secondary data obtained through various kinds of literature in the last ten years (2009-2019) such as books, e-books, e-journals, and proceedings. Based on the results of the analysis of the problems studied and supported by the theory used, the results showed that cultural and citizenship education could be applied in millennial generation literacy styles. This generation could be more selective in receiving and processing information obtained, could prevent the emergence of hoaxes and hate speech circulating in the community and instill cultural values and citizenship in the lifestyle in the millennial era. The steps taken are activity programs that contain useful information processing process that shapes an individual to become more selective in processing information obtained as well as implementing cultural literacy and citizenship independently in schools, family, and environment.
