Pola Komunikasi Adat Berasan Suku Serawai di Era Modern
Get PDFThis study aims to get a comprehensive picture of the pattern of communication on Berasan local customary in Bengkulu City in experiencing a cultural shift. This study uses phenomenological method by describing the phenomenon of Berasan traditions in modern era. Cultural communication pattern is social perception caused by cultural differences that affects the process of perception and including component of communication process. The result shows communication pattern of Berasan local customary of Serawai tribe with communities in Bengkulu city and the migrants has been seen form who will deal first with her parents. Communication pattern of Berasan local customary with urban community of Bengkulu, a man who came first to her house to meet directly with their parents, while communication pattern of Berasan local customary with migrants: his deputy has to come first to the house of the women. This paper concludes that communication patterns of Berasan local customary between Serawai tribe with Bengkulu community and migrants has changed

Get PDFKomisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) drafted a social movement Saya Perempuan ANtikorupsi (SPAK) by involving the strategic role of women as campaign communicators. This research will discuss how anti-corruption campaign process through SPAK Movement on Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kementerian Agama Indonesia (DWP Kemenag). The research was conducted with case study methodology during the April 2016-April 2017 campaign period in the central ministry’s DWP and regional offices. Based on the results of the research, some characteristics of the SPAK movement in DWP Kemenag are the women’s campaign style which emphasizes the role of women as the moral guardians of husbands and families, the presence of key organizational advisors as the main supporters of the campaign, and massive campaign spread resulting from existing organizational structures up to the root level grass. The results of this study are expected to be a model picture of anti-corruption campaigns conducted in the bureaucratic environment through the strategic role of women

Get PDFPurworejo district government has given extension techniques of Kaligesing goat breeding through Field Extension Officer (PPL) to the breeders.However, breeders assess the knowledge and experience of Field Extension Officer (PPL) has not been optimal in the breeding of Kaligesing goat. The aim of this research is to know how the government’s communication system adapts to the complexity of Field Extension Officer (PPL)knowledge that has not been optimal in the breeding of Kaligesing goat. The theory of the research is communication system in perspective of Niklas Luhmann. The research was used explorative case study method.Population of the research in Purworejo regency which was the center of Kaligesing goat farming.The result of the study shown that the government’s communication system in facing the complexity of Field Extension Officer (PPL) knowledge that has not been optimal, has produced and reproduced the form of training, comparative study, and provision of pilot land. But government communication system not effective in reducted and selected feedback from Field Extension Officer (PPL). So reproduction of regulation not solved environment complexity. Production and reproduction of regulation from government communication system not adaptive with environment complexity

Get PDFThis study aims to find an effective communication model counselor in Narcotics Prison of Class IIA Sleman Yogyakarta in rehabilitating drug users. This study uses qualitative method for its ability to help clarify the picture of the development of models of effective communication patterns counselor Narcotics Prison Class II A Sleman Yogyakarta in rehabilitating drug users. The research found that the pattern of communication and coaching in the rehabilitation of drug users in Narcotic Prison of Class II A Sleman Yogyakarta consists of two patterns. The first is informal and formal communication patterns. The second concept is carried out by community terapeutic concept, a method aimed for the social rehabilitation for victims of drug users. This patterns aimed at forming prisoners in to a human who returned intact after dependence on drugs, fostering awareness of the law, reintegration in to society, job skills training, and counseling and rehabilitation programs

Get PDFThis study examines how an empowerment of urban poor women has been done through non-formal education by utilizing existing social forces in society. The study wants to explore underlying reasons of individuals or volunteer as a part of women’s empowerment. The study uses qualitative approach by conducting observation, interviews and collecting secondary data. The result shows that the empowerment has positive impact because it is relevant to the needs of local communities and optimizes the resources owned by local community. Right curriculum that fits with the conditions of society needs is an important issue. The reasons of altruism of the volunteers involved in empowerment are 1) social conditions of the parties empowered, 2) personal value (compassion), 3) having an obligation to help others, 4) Motivation of enrichment and increase self-understanding of social life

Get PDFThis research aims to find out and explain the design, experience and sosial interaction in teenager sosial communication through Senior High School. The researcher applied the theory of fenomenology which explains the aware of experince structure togetherwith learning of experience type from the point of view for those people who directly get in touch. This research applied the qualitative method through observation, participant, in dept interview and preferences. This research subjects of the study were high school students as the main informant who represented by purposive sampling technique amounted to 17 people from three SMA Country in Ciamis districts. The result of this research shows that the design is divided in two designs, those are because design and for design. Because design uses the twitter for the development of environment and technology, easy to be used, entertaining, quick send and receive the message, borderless in place and time whereas for design is to get the up to date information, show the existence of them selves, make the social media for doing business, and find out new friends and relation. Whereas communication experience is divided in two, those are positive comunication and negative communcation. Positive communication experience describes the scope of wider twitter, information and promotion media whereas negative communication experience desribes the freedom posting, bad content, killing character and bad communcation. Whereas sosial interaction happens by sending and receiving message effectively, anxiety similarity and giving new cognition
Interaksi Simbolis Masyarakat Dalam Memaknai Kesenian Jathilan
Get PDFThis research aims to explain how symbolic interaction of people in interpreting Jathilan art in Padukuhan Mendak Desa Girisekar. Kecamatan Panggang, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected using observation, in-depth interview and documentation. To check validity of data, the researcher uses triangulation of sources. The result shows that people interpret Jathilan art through verbal and non-verbal communication carried by Jathilan artists, within each performance or in everyday life. Verbal and non-verbal communication have been done by Jathilan artists through elements contained in Jathilan art including form of motion, costumes, properties and music. People can interpret Jathilan art because they regularly watch the show of Jathilan. In addition, the values contained in Jathilan art have been delivered to public through socialization as the first step so that values embodied in Jathilan art can be interpreted and implied by people in their life
Media Sosial Instagram sebagai Sarana Sosialisasi Kebijakan Penyiaran Digital
Get PDFThis research tests the hypothesis that social media (Instagram) is used as an effective medium to disseminate and educate people on issue of migration and digital TV. It is a three-week experimental research to 79 students as respondents based on video animation and text related to digital broadcasting. Instagram is chosen in term of interactive and audio-visual characteristics. The result shows that there is non-significant difference on students’ knowledge after treatment. The Chi Square test shows that Asymptotic significance is 0.646 (greater than 0,05). It indicates that there is no significant difference of knowledge before and after receiving a message about digital TV via Instagram
TINGKAT PEMENUHAN INFORMASI PETANI MELALUI RADIO KOMUNITAS
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to analyze the level of meeting the information needs of farmers through community radio and factors related to the level of fulfillment of information needs. This study was designed as a correlational descriptive survey study. The main data is quantitative data with additional qualitative data as a support through interviews to farmers as community members and farmer’s community radio managers. The location of research in Indramayu Regency, West Java, precisely in Majasari Village, District of Sliyeg and Arjasari Village, Patrol Sub-district. The population is the listener of Radio Remaja and Radio Whisnu, with a sample size of 25%. The results showed that the level of fulfillment of information needs of farmers through different community radio results on each radio listener, which is relatively low on the listener Radio Remaja, while the listener Radio Whisnu quite high. The frequency and duration of listening to the radio is a factor related to the level of meeting the information needs through community radio
