Equal channel angular pressing processing of wrought AZ31 alloy
Equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) technique has been used to deform the material to refine the grain size of the AZ31 alloy. The main aim of present study is to evaluate the microstructure characterization and mechanical properties of alloy using ECAP die angle of 1200. Homogenized AZ31 alloy was pressed through ECAP channel up to two passes using route Bc at a temperature of 573K. Average grain size of the commercially available AZ31 alloy was found to be 22.5µm, which has been reduced to 13.3µm after two passes. Mechanical properties were experimentally evaluated at room temperature to improve the quality of AZ31 alloy. Yield strength of the material was decreased with respect to increased percentage of elongation after ECAP process. Hardness of the material was evidently increased with increasing number of passes at a room temperature
A Comparative Study of Instance Reduction Techniques
Dealing with very large databases is one of themajor challenges in data mining research and development. It does not matter how powerful the computers are or will bein future, data mining algorithms must consider how tomanage this ever-growing data that can be too large (forexample terabytes of data) to be processed. Therefore weconsider instance reduction as an important task in the datapreparation phase of knowledge discovery and data mining.Major approaches for instance reduction are supervisedinstance filters (resample, spread subsample, stratifiedremove folds) and unsupervised instance filters (remove withvalues, reservoir sample, remove percentage). This paperprovides a comparative study on existing techniques forinstance reduction
Data security using Signcryption & Relocation Techniques in Cloud Computing
Cloud computing has been a paradigm shift in the information technology domain. It offers potential benefits to users in terms of instant availability, scalability and resource sharing, while potentially posing security issues. Data is key point in cloud computing for both parties i.e. cloud service provider and application users. So to provide extra security level to data is the main duty of CSP. In this research paper we have proposed a technique where data is prime issue and concept of Signcryption is here proposed for data security over a cloud. This paper explores the security issues related to the cloud. Finally, we explore some key research challenges of implementing new cloud-aware data security solutions, followed by conclusion where we try to entail the whole research proposal and try to formulate a security strategy which will enable the Cloud providers and customers alike to fight against ever emerging security threats
A Review on Application of Artificial Neural Networks for Injection Moulding and Casting processes
Artificial Neural networks (ANNs) have potential challenges in the eve of prediction, optimization, control, monitor, identification, classification, modelling and so on particularly in the field of manufacturing. This paper presents a selective review on use of ANNs in the application of casting and injection moulding processes. We discuss number of key issues which must be addressed when applying neural networks to practical problems and steps followed for the development of such models are also outlined. These includes data collection, division of data collected and pre-processing of available data, selection of appropriate model inputs, outputs, network architectures, network parameters, training algorithms, learning scheme, training modes, network topology defined, training termination, choice of performance criteria for training and model validations. The suitable options available for network developers were discussed and recommended suggestions to be considered are highlighted. Keywords: Metal casting processes, Injection moulding processes, Casting Materials/Alloys, Artificial Neural Network
Design and Implementation of an Efficient Modified Booth Multiplier using VHDL
This paper presents an efficient design of ModifiedBooth Multiplier and then also implements it. The ModifiedBooth Recoding method is widely used to generate thepartial products for implementation of large parallelmultipliers, which adopts the parallel encoding scheme. Inthis paper the software design of the Modified BoothMultiplier is explained with the help of flow chart. Thesimulation is done using Xilinx ISE Design Suite 14.2 tool andModelSim tool and the results obtained are shown both for 4bit and 8 bit multiplication. The implementation of thismultiplier is done using VHDL on Spartan 3E kit and thehardware results are also shown
Analysis the performance of pointers and variables in memory accessing using a programming language on various architectures
Now a day‟s all high level programming languages are object oriented. All of the languages make use of variables to store data that is volatile. Some of the programming language uses pointers to refer the data, objects or functions etc. Both variable and pointers can be use in various operations of the programming language that will access the memory. Here we have implemented a c/c++ programming to analyze the performance of variables and pointers on various Intel, AMD architectures in accessing the memory. The program that shows the accessing mechanism of a pointer as well as a variable to access memory and verify the performance on various architectures. This paper represents how a pointer variable differ in performance as compared to a variable simply defined in memory access and shows the dependency on the processing speed of the architecture and various other factors
Use of Active Rules and Genetic Algorithm to Generate the Automatic Time-Table
This document proposes an optimized techniqueto automate time table generation system. Time tablegeneration system involves various challenging constraintsof resources including faculties, rooms, time slots etc. Theproposed technique filters out the best of active rules andGenetic algorithm to generate the optimized solution.Genetic Algorithm and Active Rules together form acomplete sphere for developing a system, which needs tosatisfy various constraints.Active Rules provide “event-condition-action†model forthe implementation of any rule based system. In geneticalgorithm every individual are characterized by a fitnessfunction. After analysis if there is higher fitness then itmeans better solution and then after based on their fitness, parents are selected to reproduce offspring for a newgeneration where fitter individuals have more chance toreproduce. The objective of the work is to create a modelused to generate the acceptable schedule using probabilisticoperators
Offline Handwritten Character Recognition Using Improved Back- Propagation Algorithm
A neural network is a machine designed tomodel the way in which the brain performs a particulartask. Character recognition techniques help inrecognizing the characters written on paper documentsand converting it in digital form. Character recognitionis gaining interest and importance in the modern worlddue to its application in various fields. Handwrittencharacter recognition is a very difficult problem due togreat variation of writing style, different size and shapeof the character. Accuracy and efficiency are the majorparameters in the field of handwritten characterrecognition. Neural network is a technique used toimprove the accuracy and efficiency of the handwrittencharacter recognition system. A Review on Reducing Radio Frequency Pollution Effecting by Cell Size
The world population is drastically increasingday by day and because of this increment of worldpopulation, mobile communication density is also rapidlyincreasing. The base station (BSs) and mobile station (MSs)augmentation are directly enclosed with the growth ofmobile communication, which are the parent of rising footprint rate and radio frequency population in the biosphere.Because of this unwanted growth of radio frequencyradiation and carbon foot print, the human health, flora andfauna get also badly affected. At the end of 2011, totalworldwide mobile subscription have grown to 5.9 billion andmobile internet subscription to 2.5 billion over theworldwide population of 7 billion, and these are expected toincrease twice within five years. This paper is study of effectof cell size on energy conservation, system and user capacity,per-energy capacity which is the result of variousexperiments and researches performed by variousgovernment and privet bodies. For future mobilecommunication system the reduction of radio frequencypollution in term of electromagnetic pollution index (EPI) isvery significant aspect
