Vibration Control of Bus Suspension System using PI and PID Controller
This paper presents the application of PI and PIDcontroller to control the vibration occurred in the bus suspensionsystem. When the suspension system is designed, a ¼ model ofbus is used to simplify the problem to a one dimensional massspring-damper system. Its open-loop performance on the basis oftime response is observed which depicts that the bus suspensionhas oscillations with large settling time. To overcome thisproblem, closed-loop system is used. Despite continuousadvancement in control theory, Proportional –Integral (PI) andProportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) Controllers are thepopular technique to control any process. In this paper,Proportional-Integral (PI) and Proportional-Integral-Derivative(PID) controllers are used to control the vibrations to givesmooth response of the bus suspension system and carry-out their comparison on the basis of time and frequency using Matlab environment. The simulation and implementation of thecontroller is done using MATLAB/SIMULINK
Boundary-controlled travelling and standing waves in cascaded lumped systems
This paper describes how pure travelling waves in cascaded, lumped, uniform, mass-spring systems can be defined, established, and maintained, by controlling two boundary actuators, one at each end. In most cases the control system for each actuator requires identifying and measuring notional component waves, propagating in opposite directions, through the actuator-system interfaces. These measured component waves are then used to form the control inputs to the actuators. The paper also shows how the boundaries can be actively controlled to establish and maintain standing waves of arbitrary standing wave ratio, including those corresponding to classical modes of vibration with textbook boundary conditions. The proposed control systems are also robust to system disturbances: they react quickly to overcome external transient disturbances to re-establish the desired steady motion
EXTRACTION, PURIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF ENZYME AMYLASE FROM Bacillus amyloliquefaciens
Pure culture of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens previouslyisolated and sequenced from our lab has been maintained onnutrient agar slant at 4°C. Amylase activity of pure culture wasassayed by starch hydrolysis test. The enzyme production wasdone by using amylase production media at 37°C in shake flaskculture. The enzyme was extracted by centrifugation, and then itwas purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation 10 to 65%. Theprecipitated protein sample has been subjected to dialysis by usingphosphate buffer. The enzyme activity of crude protein extractwas determined by DNS method and maximum activity was 0.32AU/ml. Crude protein and purified samples were subjected to 10%SDS-PAGE
A Review on Image Halftone Processing
Halftone processing is a technique to convert grayscale images into two-tone binary images. The two- tone binary images are used in printing and display. An image having several bits for brightness levels is converted into a binary image consisting of black and white dots which looks similar to an input image. The similarity of images is measured by the differences in the weighted sums of brightness levels of pixels in a neighborhood surrounding each pixel. The problem of producing halftoned image is to obtain an optimal binary image that retains the intensity information contained in the image. Efficient FPGA Based Bidirectional Network on Chip Router throgh Virtual Channel Regulator
Fundamental unit of building a Network on Chipis the router; it directs the packets according to a routingalgorithm to the desired host. Both NoC performance andenergy budget depend heavily on the routers' bufferresources. This paper introduces a novel BidirectionalNetwork on chip router with unified buffer structure, calledthe dynamic Virtual Channel Regulator, which dynamicallyallocates Virtual Channels (VC) and buffer resourcesaccording to network traffic conditions. In this study, weanalyse the move towards Networks-on-Chips router froman area and power perspective by accurately modeling aBidirectional Network-on-chip router through VirtualChannel Regulator in FPGA. Accurate speed, area andpower metrics are also reported for the networks router,which will allow a more complete comparison to be madeacross the NoC architectural router space considered. Theproposed architecture of BiNoC router is simulated in XilinxISE 9.1i software. We designed a router with scalabilityfeature which is synthesized in models of Virtex-II XC2VP30FPGA infrastructures. The source code is written in VHDL.In addition, the proposed router uses low resource utilizationpercentage of FPGA. From the implementation results, theproposed router is operated with higher speed, area in termsof slices reduced by 38.55% and the LUTs reduced by44.59

Identification and Iterative Learning Control of Piezoelectric Actuator Based Nanopositioning System
This paper presents the identification ofpiezoelectric actuated nanopositioning system. The open loopcharacteristics of the system are analyzed on the basis oftime and frequency response and depicts that the open loopcharacteristics of the system are not satisfactory and requiresome control technique to improve system characteristics.Through the years, several control techniques have beenstudied to improve the performance of the system. Thedesired system should have short settling time and must havethe ability to reject all disturbances. To achieve theseobjectives, the present paper design Iterative LearningControl (ILC) for the nanopositioning system to rejectdisturbance which are periodic in nature. Combining SVM and PSO for PVC Detection
This paper proposes a method for premature ventricular contraction detection. The method consist of three modules. Feature extraction module extracts ten electrocardiogram (ECG) morphological features and two timing interval features. Then a number of support vector machine (SVM) classifiers with different values of C and the GRBF kernel parameter, sigma, are designed and compared their ability for classification of three different classes of ECG signals. An overall classification accuracy of detection of 98.38% were achieved over nine files from the MIT/BIH arrhythmia database. The classification accuracy increased to 99.90% when particle swarm optimization (PSO) employed to find the best values of SVM parameter
