Get PDFThe discrepancies between research activities and the national strategic policy of development and science and technology impact on less useful results of research and abandoned government policies/programs. One of the causes is the absences of media which that can build interactions between researchers/academics, governmennt and business entities. Therefore, it needs a social network that can help interaction and collaboration between the three types of users. The purpose of this study is to determine the technical features required in the proposed social network site. This research is done by observation method and literature study based on user centric approach. This research produces social networking features based on user types, ie researchers / academics, government, and business entities. Recomendation features for researchers / academics focus on the needs of researchers. While the government and business entities have features related to supporting research activities and utilize the results of research

No full textSocialization this communication aims to determine program implementation Makassar Tak Rantasa (MTR), the government\u27s communication strategy Makassar city in its promotion and use SWOT analysis to formulate strategies on the role of the government of Makassar on this program. This study uses survey techniques with a qualitative approach. The interviews showed that the program MTR (Makassar Tak Rantasa) implemented by the Government of Makassar using brochures and print media fully implemented properly because of the participation of the community weeks to dispose of waste in place. Participation, mobile system, and mutual aid in the MTR program is still weak in terms of: lack of synergy between the Government of Makassar (Department of Sanitation) with the RW and RT in disseminating this MTR program. For that we give recommendations to the Government of Makassar to increasing socialization of the program to the rest people’s MTR to the grassroots level as well as synchronization between the stakeholders associated with the program.Sosialisasi komunikasi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi program Makassar Tidak Rantasa (MTR), strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan Pemerintah Kota Makassar dalam menyosialisasikan program tersebut dan penggunaan analisis SWOT dalam membuat formulasi tentang peran strategi yang dilaksanakan Pemerintah Kota Makassar terhadap program ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik survey dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil interview menunjukkan bahwa program MTR (Makassar Tidak Rantasa) yang dilaksanakan oleh Pemerintah Kota Makassar dengan menggunakan brosur dan media cetak sepenuhnya dapat terlaksana dengan baik karena adanya partisipasi dari masyarakat utuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Peran serta, mobilasasi, dan gotong royong dalam program MTR ini masih lemah dalam hal: kurang sinerginya antara Pemerintah Kota Makassar (Dinas Kebersihan) dengan pihak RW (Rukun Warga) dan RT (Rukun Tetangga) dalam menyosialisasikan program MTR ini. Untuk itu kami merekomendasikan kepada Pemerintah Kota Makassar agar meningkatkan sosialisasi program MTR ini kepada seluruh masayarakat dari level terbawah sampai level tertinggi serta sinkronisasi antar stakeholder yang terkait dengan program ini
Internet Parenting upon Indonesian Children
Get PDFChildren living in the digital age are inseparable from the internet. It can lead them to success, and can also damage them at the same time. The role of parents is very important in this case because the parenting style influences the future of the children. This research was conducted due to the concern for the future of the nation. It aimed to determine internet parenting applied in Indonesia. It conducted with mix methods Bay using interview, observation and PSDQ survey techniques of data collection. After the data display and description, it resulted that the majority of parents in Indonesia apply to neglect parenting style. There was a lack of parents-children communication regarding the internet. The parenting style will allow the child to be trapped into the negative side of the internet. To avoid the increasing of the magnitude of the negative impact on children, the government is recommended to tighten internet filters, while increasing education to parents regarding internet care parenting, as well as children’s ICT literacy

No full textThis paper discusses the assessment of business objectives, the purpose of IT Management in the Maros Regency Environmental, Hygiene and Landscaping Agency (BLHKP) which is measured by using the maturity level in the COBIT Framework. This is needed as an audit system control that not only provides an evaluation of information technology governance in Maros Regency BLHKP, but can also provide input for improving IT management in the future. This research is qualitative and quantitative using interview, observation and survey methods to assess the processes of the four domains contained in COBIT-based maturity standards. Overall, IT governance in the Maros Regency Environmental, Hygiene and Landscaping Agency (BLHKP) has the current maturity level (Current Maturiry Level) for the Acquire and Implement and Monitor and Evaluate domains all around level two (Repeatable but Intuitive ) It can be said that in the BLHKP governance process that the same procedure has been developed in the processes to handle a task, and is followed by everyone involved. There is no training and communication of such standard procedures. The responsibility for implementing the standard is left to each individual. Trust in individual knowledge is very high, so misuse is very possible.Tulisan ini membahas penilaian tujuan bisnis, tujuan Kelola TI di Badan Lingkungan Hidup, Kebersihan, dan Pertamanan (BLHKP) Kabupaten Maros yang diukur dengan menggunakan tingkat kematangan dalam COBIT Framework. Hal ini dibutuhkan sebagai sebuah kontrol sistem audit yang tidak hanya memberikan evaluasi terhadap tata kelola teknologi informasi di BLHKP Kabupaten Maros, tetapi juga dapat memberikan masukan demi perbaikan pengelolaan TI di masa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan survey untuk menilai proses- proses dari empat domain yang terdapat dalam standard tingkat kematangan berbasis COBIT. Secara keseluruhan, tata kelola TI di BLHKP Kabupaten Maros rata-rata tingkat kematangan saat ini (Current Maturiry Level) untuk domain Acquire and Implement dan Monitor and Evaluate semua berada disekitar level dua (Repeatable but Intuitive). Hal ini dapat dikatakan bahwa dalam proses tata kelola BLHKP bahwa Prosedur yang sama telah dikembangkan dalam proses-proses untuk menangani suatu tugas, dan diikuti oleh setiap orang yang terlibat didalamnya. Tidak ada pelatihan dan komunikasi dari prosedur standar tersebut. Tanggung jawab pelaksanaan standar diserahkan pada setiap individu. Kepercayaan terhadap pengetahuan individu sangat tinggi, sehingga kesalahaan sangat memungkinkan terjadi
Evaluation and Planning of Required of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in Nunukan Regency
Get PDFNunukan Regency has geographical conditions that can prevent directly public services. Implementation of online public service can help government to reach community. However, the lack of telecommunication access, especially inaccessibility of users or the lack of BT capacity , is a major obstacle in the implementation of these service. Therefore, evaluation and planning of BTS requirement is needed in order to reach all users. The purpose of this research is to evaluate and plan the requirement of telecommunication tower in Nunukan Regency. This study used two methods in determining the BTS requirement by using the Standford University Interim (SUI) propagation model to determine the coverage area of telecommunication towers and using the calculation of BTS capacity to meet traffic requirements. The result obtained is the number of base stations which recorded are able to meet traffic requirements if it is assumed that all base stations which have been built are macro BTS with 3 sector antenna specification and the number of carriers 1 or 2, or micro BTS with 3 sectors antenna specification and the number of carriers 2. However, if it does not meet these specifications, it is necessary to increase the number of BTS based on BTS capacity for all sub-districts, except Krayan, Kraya Timur, Krayan Tengah and Krayan Barat

History has proved that the type of business that can survive the economic crisis in Indonesia is MSMEs. However, MSMEs in Indonesia is considered to have low competitiveness in internal factors such as production and processing, marketing, human resources, design, and technology. High competitiveness is needed to compete in global markets such as the ASEAN Economic Community competitiveness in internal factors such as production and processing, marketing, human resources, design, and technology. High competitiveness is needed to compete in global markets such as the ASEAN Economic Community. This condition is challenging yet give opportunities to MSMEs. Therefore, implementing information technology is a solution to increase competitiveness. Although the device of information technology is getting cheaper and more affordable, most MSMEs still consider it expensive due to financial limitations and lack of expertise in using the computer. In consequence, support from various parties, not only the government but also groups such as academics, practitioners, and college students, is significantly needed. Thus, it is necessary to create the MSME Support System as a medium of information for the MSMEs\u27 agents with potential supporters who are academics, practitioners, and college students.Peran UMKM dalam perekonomian Indonesia memang tidak diragukan lagi karena terbukti mampu bertahan dan menjadi roda penggerak ekonomi. Sejarah telah membuktikan, ketika Indonesia mengalami krisis ekonomi, bentuk usaha yang bisa bertahan adalah UMKM. Akan tetapi, UMKM di Indonesia dinilai masih belum memiliki daya saing yang tinggi, dalam dari faktor internal seperti produksi dan pengolahan, pemasaran, sumber daya manusia, desain dan teknologi. Daya saing yang tinggi sangat diperlukan dalam bersaing dengan pasar global seperti Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean. Kondisi ini memang memberikan tantangan, namun juga dapat memperoleh peluang bagi UMKM. Mengadopsi penggunaan teknologi informasi merupakan salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan daya saing. Meskipun perangkat teknologi informasi semakin murah dan terjangkau, namun untuk sebagian besar UMKM masih merupakan barang mahal karena keterbatasan finansial dan kurangnya keahlian dalam menggunakan komputer sendiri. Dengan kondisi ini tentu sangat diperlukan dukungan dari berbagai pihak, tidak hanya pemerintah, namun semua kalangan seperti kalangan akademisi, kalangan praktisi dan kalangan mahasiswa. The Role of Organization-Based Self-esteem and Organizational Communication toward Job Involvement in Research Center Organization
Get PDFResearch institutions as well as other organizations have core business in science and technology research and development have many external and internal constraints to actively engage their researchers. Internal problems that become obstacles faced by research institutions is that individual productivity is not the same as the productivity of the organization, so there is a distance that becomes the factors causing the researcher\u27s job involvement on organization. The purpose of research is to see the relationship between organization-based self-esteem (OBSE) and organizational communication with job involvement in a research institute to increase science and technology productivity. The research question is how the role of organization-based self-esteem towards the job involvement and how the role of organizational communication to the job involvement of researchers in X institution research. We used mix method by quantitative approach of relationship analysis to measure organization-based self-esteem with the job involvement, while to see organizational communication with job involvement with qualitative case study approach. The results obtained that organization-based self-esteem has been shown to be significantly associated with the job involvement of researchers in research institutions. In addition, organizational communication also affects the job involvement of researchers in research institutions. It shows that individual factors can collectively impact on organizational success in achieving the targets
Application of Journalistic Ethics in Political Reporting in Online Media (Case Study of the Governor Election of Jakarta)

There are several problems in the contestation, especially those relating to violations of journalistic ethics in political reporting in online media. Two key questions in this research, first, what is the form of violations of journalistic ethics in the political reporting of the Jakarta Governor’s election in national online media during 2016-2017? Second, how journalistic ethics to the political reporting of the Jakarta governor\u27s election in national online media in 2016-2017? This study uses a qualitative approach with Robert K. Yin\u27s case study method with national online media research subjects including sindonews.com, mediaindonesia.com, kompas.com, republika.co.id and tribunnews.com. The results of this study, there are several violations of journalistic ethics, besides the application of journalistic ethics in online media in the selection of the Governor of DKI Jakarta is not optimal. The use of Digital Signage as Media Campus Information (Penggunaan Digital Signage sebagai Media Informasi Kampus)
No full textcampus information is needed by the entire academic community. Information is updated in STMIK CMR presented in the form of images which are patched, running text, video, and broadcast television, but the information is presented in a separate media, so several parts should be visited to get the whole information. It results the information not spreading rapidly. Literature review and field research have been conducted. Data gaining is through system analysis, system design, and system implementation & testing. The results showed that the loading time has been relatively fast with the average value of 92%, the display system has been attractive with an average value of 90%, the ease of use of the system’s average value has been 84%, the ease in obtaining information from the campus’ average value has been 88 %, and the process of uploading photos, videos’ average value has been 92%. From the results, it can be concluded that the information boards already met the needs of the respondents, with an average value of 89.2%. It is why, the information board may be applied on campus as the center of informations or announcements, so that it would be easier for students and lecturers in gaining campus information.Informasi dalam kampus sangat dibutuhkan oleh seluruh civitas akademik. Penyajian informasi di STMIK AKBA telah mutakhir. Informasi tersebut disajikan dalam bentuk gambar yang ditempel, teks berjalan, video, dan siaran televisi. Akan tetapi informasi tersebut disajikan dalam media yang terpisah, sehingga harus mengunjungi beberapa bagian untuk mendapatkan informasi secara keseluruhan. Hal ini mengakibatkan informasi tidak menyebar secara cepat. Penelitian kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan dengan metode pengumpulan data ini melalui tahap analisis sistem, desain sistem, implementasi dan pengujian sistem. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa waktu tunggu relatif cepat, yakni dengan nilai rata-rata 92%, tampilan sistem menarik dengan nilai rata-rata 90%, kemudahan dalam penggunaan sistem dengan nilai rata-rata 84%, kemudahan dalam mendapatkan informasi dari kampus dengan nilai rata-rata 88%, dan proses upload foto dan video dengan nilai rata-rata 92%. Dari hasil diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa papan informasi ini sudah memenuhi kebutuhan responden dengan nilai rata-rata 89.2%. Oleh sebab itu, papan informasi ini boleh diterapkan dikampus sebagai sarana informasi atau pengumuman kampus, sehingga memudahkan mahasiswa dan dosen dalam mendapatkan informasi kampus
Perspective of Online Media towards Settlement Development Case in Bekasi using Agenda Setting Models
Get PDFDevelopment does not always have a positive impact on the surroundings, but also negative impacts often occur. Social change of society one of them is the impact of the development. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze how the development and social change of Bekasi society takes place from the perspective of discourse in the mass media. The method used is to use qualitative data analysis that comes from news in mass media. The reports were analyzed using Nvivo 11 software assistance. The results of the analysis revealed that the government needed to review and evaluate the permit for the development of apartments and the area, because it had a major social change effect on the surrounding community. From the news in mass media shows that the surrounding communities are much negatively affected by the development. The media agenda, the government agenda and the public agenda are related to the occurrence of social change
