Packet Filtering Based On Differentiated Services Code Point For DHCP Starvation Attacks Prevention
The use of the internet today has become a necessity, the most commonly used media to connect to the internet is a Wireless LAN network. For easy access to the network, DHCP service become a standard feature that must exist, because ordinary users no longer need to think about procedures for configuring IP addresses, all of which have been done automatically by the DHCP service. But it turns out that there is a security threat to DHCP service, namely DHCP Starvation attacks that can be exhausting the availability of IP addresses in DHCP service so that the configuration of IP address automatically can no longer be done on the client. Various methods such as authentication, cryptography, and machine learning are used by researchers in preventing DHCP Starvation attacks, but the issue of effectiveness and efficiency still opens up further research opportunities. In this research, packet filtering methods based on DSCP code applied to the Netfilter system are used to do prevention of DHCP Starvation attacks, this method has proven to be very effective in making prevention and more efficient when applied on small scale wireless networks such as at office networks and internet cafe. The use of the internet today has become a necessity, the most commonly used media to connect to the internet is a Wireless LAN network. Comparison of SARA Issues Sentiment between Online News Portal and Social Media Towards the 2019 Election
This study aims to analyze the comparison of SARA (racial/religional) issues sentiment between online news portal and social media. The sentiment analysis method has been applied in this study, by using IMM application during the period of 2018. The results concluded that either in online news portal or social media, SARA issues sentiment have been detected positively during January to August 2018. Generally, negative sentiment on social media tend to be higher compared to online news portal. This condition related to the nature of social media that allows its user to express their opinion freely. The highest percentage of negative sentiment on social media found in January 2018, while it happened a month later in the news portal. It shows that in certain conditions, social media could be more responsive regarding social issues compared to online news portal. Delay response in news portal mainly caused by editorial process and hierarchy system on responding an issue. The initial issue usually has brought up by social media, that followed by news portals in formal manner
Internet Usage Behavior of the ICT Young Workforce in the Border Region
Indonesia became the sixth largest internet user country in 2014, and the country with the highest growth of internet users in 2016. At the end of 2018, internet users in Indonesia are categorized as heavy internet users, with more than 5GB data consumption per month only for internet connections via mobile devices. The question "what is the fast internet to use for?", Which was submitted by one of the Indonesian Minister of Communication and Information, should be an afterthought. UINSA Surabaya research states that internet use in Indonesia tends to be unproductive. This study aims to describe the behavior of internet access by user groups more specifically from previous research, namely the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) young workforce in the border region. By applying Uses and Gratification Theory (UGT), in addition to discussing user profiles of research subjects, the research also focuses on behavioral analysis with research objects in the form of a number of accounts, duration of access, access time, access devices and access needs. The study found that on average a user has 5.10 accounts on the internet for various purposes, most users access the internet for 2 to 4 hours per day (37.34%), most choose to access the internet at 20.01-00.0 (28.46%), generally accessing the internet using smartphones / cellular phones (68.86%), and dominant access is for entertainment/gaming purposes (33.88%)
Digital Image Processing for Detecting Industrial Machine Work Failure with Quantization Vector Learning Method
Todays, digital image processing is widely used in various fields to facilitate humans in doing work by analyzing videos or images for use in decision making in the industrial world. The use of industrial machine technology is one of the most important factors in efforts to facilitate human work, but an industrial machine is inseparable from work failure that can hinder the production process and cause harm to the industry. This study aims to detect a failure in industrial machinery by using video data of industrial machine movements recorded using a webcam camera. For the preprocessing stage, the image is resized then converted to grayscale imagery and segmented using the thresholding method, then morphological operations are performed with an opening operation, feature extraction is done by changing the binary image into a vector data that is used as input data in the classification process using the Learning Vector Quantization Neural Network Algorithm (LVQ NN) version 1. The results showed the results of the detection of machine working errors can be done well with an accuracy value of 94.24% in training and 92.38% in the testing phase
Development of GPS-Based Mobile Application for Motorized Vehicle Speed Survey
The problem of measuring vehicle speed on roads is difficult to be one of the problems in the Department of Transportation. Through this research, alternative methods of measurement on road segments proposed by using GPS through vehicle speed calculations are measured based on latitude and longitude displacement applied to mobile applications. The method used to calculate vehicle speed is using the method of calculating the distance between Euclidean Distance coordinates, the acquisition of the speed results is then used to determine the determination of the congestion status. The result of distance calculation is still in units of degree, therefore it is necessary to convert from coordinate unit (degree) to unit distance (km) by multiplying the distance of one degree of earth based on latitude. Based on the test results, there are three phases when taking measurements: pre-measurement, measurement, and post-measurement
Political Celebrity and Communication Style Joko Widodo on New Media
A Celebrity as a person who is being worshipped, not only originated from an artist, such as musician, actor or actress that starring any movie but also could originate from the political context. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as a leader of the Republic of Indonesia is one of the celebrity examples with his massive narration on new media. Jokowi has a Facebook page and its content related to his activities. The content could be seen from communication perspectives as a manifestation of celebrity image. In the context of Presidential Election in 2019, the emergence of the content on Jokowi Facebook Page also could be understood as one platform that is used by his fans or public to gather some information in relation with a presidential candidate. This research is conducted using content analysis using QDA Miner in April 2018. This study resulting from that communication style that Jokowi is using tend to be setting the agenda’s function, policy issue’s topic, referential/neutral’s register, and storytelling’s stagecraft

Modeling of HTTP Request with Regular Expression for Slow HTTP DoS Attack Detection
The availability of Web Service is the most important thing to be guaranteed, but there are many threats to the Web Service particularly from the internet, one of the famous methods is Slow HTTP DoS Attack. There are many research projects about this topic before, but there is always the possibility to increase the accuracy rate and minimizing the False Positive Rate and should be considered to use it at the small and medium scale of network infrastructure. In this research, another IDS method was used to find a better result for Slow HTTP DoS Attack detection through modeling HTTP Request based on Regular Expression. Detection patterns made from HTTP Request Traffic of some popular Web Browsers then looked for the similarity of the HTTP Request Traffic using Needleman Wunsch algorithm. This pattern was negated at the important part of HTTP Request headers, then converted to Regular Expression. New Pattern in Regular Expression was inserted to the L7-Filter that part of Netfilter. This method has been proved to detect Slow HTTP DoS Attack with 100% accuracy and False Positive Rate 0%
