    The Harmonious Communication Model on Among Religious Adherents in Sorong, West Papua

    This research objective is to describe the process and model of harmonious communication among religious adherents and the supporting and inhibiting factors for the occurrence of harmonious communication in Sorong, West Papua. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research to understand the process and model of communication between religious adherents. The research subject of interfaith leaders in Sorong amounted to 7 informant. The data collection method was done by interview and documentation techniques.  Furthermore, the research result is a description of the process of harmonious communication among religious adherents carried out through the stages of structuring harmony and productivity. While, the stages of structuring harmony are carried out through the process of instilling mutual understanding, tolerance, and mutual respect among the adherents of the religion. The steps have resulted in productivity, namely; the realization of harmony among religious communities, and rised to a harmonious communication model that was built based on peace, tolerance, and cooperation. Supporting factors for harmonious communication are the role of the "Forum on Religious Harmony" (FKUB) and the role of religion and culture.  The factor of inhibiting is the existence of socio-economic inequality and ineffective communication between local leaders and communities and national leaders

    Design of Web-Based Hydroponic Plant’s Room Temperature and Water Nutrition Monitoring System

    Hydroponics is a technique of cultivation that uses water and without soil. The technique emphasizes meeting the nutritional needs of plants. Hydroponic plants need less water than plants that use soil media. The purpose of this study is the creation of a monitoring system to control room temperature and hydroponic water plant nutrition. The method used is web-based system design. The results of the study show that with a web-based room temperature and water nutrition monitoring system, room temperature and water nutrition of the hydroponic plant can be controlled anytime and anywhere. Also, test factors in functional testing of systems using black-box show valid results. Furthermore, based on the implementation test conducted to determine the performance of the monitoring system that has been made, 87.5% of 35 respondents rated it good, 9% thought it was quite good, and 3.5% thought it was not good

    The Pattern of Disaster Communication and Media to Improve Community Alertness in North Aceh Regency

    This study aims to analyze the forms of communication carried out and the media used by the North Aceh District Disaster Management Agency in improving community alertness. This research uses descriptive research type, and qualitative research approaches.  Research data obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Research informants, namely the Local Government, the Head of the North Aceh District Disaster Management Agency, the District Head of Langkahan, the Head of North Aceh SAR, the Head of RRI Lhokseumawe. The results showed that the communication carried out by the North Aceh District Disaster Management Agency was interpersonal communication and mass communication through socialization and simulation about disasters. While the communication media used, namely the mass media both print media and radio media to inform disaster management policies. It also used traditional media as local wisdom namely kentongan. Kentongan media are considered effective when communication tools that use technology do not function.

This study aims to look at the tendency of clickbait title patterns in criminal news, namely online prostitution cases. The research method is quantitative content analysis. The news that will be examined is the news of Vanessa Angel\u27s online prostitution case on Tribunnews.com for the period of January to June 2019. The result shows that Tribunnews.com applies the pattern of the clickbait headline in Vanessa Angel\u27s news

    People Behavior Related To The Spread Of Covid-19’s Hoax

    Covid-19 became the biggest non-natural disaster in the world in 2020. It first broke out in Wuhan, China, and then spread to other countries including Indonesia. The public is in uncertainty and receives a lot of information about Covid-19 through various media. This condition is exacerbated by the spread of hoax related to Covid-19 which is difficult to contain. The purpose of this study was to analyses society\u27s behavior related to the spread of the Covid-19 hoax. This research uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The results of the study concluded that respondents\u27 knowledge about Covid-19 and hoax was very adequate. However, most respondents are hesitant and are in a position that can sometimes distinguish hoax, sometimes not because of the large amount of information obtained every day. The public panic at Covid-19 caused hoax to continue to be spread in the hope that the information could be useful in preventing and treating. While the respondents did not spread Covid\u27s-19 hoax, because they considered the information to be incorrect, not useful, and harmful to the health of others, and they wanted to break the chain of hoax distribution to themselves

    Communication is an important aspect for Indonesian Migrant Workers\u27 survival (PMI) in Hong Kong during the Covid-19 pandemic. In a crisis and uncertain situation, PMI from Bantul in Hong Kong communicate using the WhatsApp group "Bantul in Hong Kong" to stay connected with their partners. For this reason, this research aims to describe the motives of using the WhatsApp group "Bantul in Hong Kong" by PMI during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research employed qualitative case study approach. The Data was collected using in-depth interviews towards the WhatsApp group members which was selected by snowball sampling. The results showed that the motives of using WhatsApp group "Bantul in Hong Kong" were: social interaction, information seeking, entertainment, relaxation and comfort, sharing information, monitoring the other, and growing of communication empathy. In addition, the use of this platform also has negative effects such a communication irritation to group members

    Madura is one of the islands located in the Province of East Java, Indonesia, which has a lot of tourism potency but there has been no system to accommodate this. As a result, the tourists have difficulty of getting the official information about tourism objectives within Madura. Therefore, in this study was conducted with the aim of creating a decision support system for tourism object selection in Madura so that the prospective tourists find it easier to choose tourism attractions that that suits their desires. In connection with these objectives, this study applies the Fuzzy Tahani logic method as the decision support model. It is used because its main equipment is a functional hierarchy that its main input is predetermined criteria.  The results of this study are expected to facilitate prospective tourists in making decisions in choosing attractions in Madura. By using the visitor criterias, the distance from the city center, and the reviews of the tourists on the attractions, the decision support system is able to provide recommendations for tourist attractions to be selected. The result of the functionality test showed determined that the system can 100% run

    Trends in Disseminating Audio on Demand Content through Podcast: An Opportunity and Challenge in Indonesia

    In the last two years, there has been a significant increase in access to audio on-demand content in Indonesia. The current trend of content dissemination is no longer centered on video-based content such as Youtube but has penetrated audio-based content such as Podcasts. One of the causes of podcasts\u27 interest is the nature of flexibility that allows the audience to listen to audio content while doing other activities. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of podcasts in Indonesia and present them comprehensively. The method used in this research is literature review which includes the process of reading, sorting, and analyzing articles in journals, reference books, previous research reports, and news related to podcasts. The results of the study concluded that the emergence of trends in the distribution of audio-on-demand content through podcasts could create several opportunities that can be useful for its users in Indonesia, including podcasts that can be a medium for providing information to open new insights and thoughts, podcast also capable in produce more personal content, it can be used as an alternative media to disseminate audio content, it has significant opportunities for monetization, can complement conventional radio and video-based platforms, and has opportunities to be accessed safely and comfortably because of relatively small bandwidth requirements. In addition to opportunities, podcast development cannot be separated from various challenges, including competition with video-based content that has been popular among millennials, challenges in measuring and applying podcast monetization methods, challenges in production aspects, audio quality and optimizing content duration.     One of the phenomena in modern society now because of the increasing use of internet is cybersex. The negative effects of cybersex are prostitution, cyber crime, child abuse and pornography. As the most accessed generation of the internet allows millennials to get involved in cybersex activity. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to get an idea of the current millennial-generation cybersex behavior. The research used survey method with quantitative approach. The results concluded that most of the respondents performed offline sexual activity (masturbation, sex, and oral sex) during the last 6 months. It was also revealed that most respondents had sex offline with boyfriends, close friends, strangers without marriage bonds. As for cybersex activity, most respondents do it everyday as much as one to two times a week at home. The purpose of doing cybersex is mostly out of curiosity, as entertainment and recreation. Most respondents in doing cybersex activity by porn sites, the rest to have sex conversations (sex chatting), download pornography and access multimedia/software sex. Other findings say respondents also confessed to having sex conversations with boyfriends, spouses, close friends and new people and meeting face-to-face with someone who previously only met online for sexual purposes
