    Title : The Influence of Kind and Dose of Manure in Relation to Creat Growth and Yield (Andrographis paniculata Ness.)Creat were medicine plant which have great potential as raw materials of traditional medicine. Raw materials of Creat usually taken from native environment. The supply of creat’s raw materials which taken from original habitat give discontinued outcomes and cause its extinction. The appropriately agronomic production technique was expected to give better quality of medicinal plant’s raw materials. This research aimed to study kind and dose of manure for growth and outcomes of Creat. The research was conducted on October 2007 until January 2008 at Donoyudan Village, Kalijambe, Sragen. This research was arranged factorial in Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Which consist of two treatment factors and three replications. The first factor was the kind of manure, there were cow, goat and chicken manure. Second factor was dose of manure, consist of 25 g/plant, 50 g/plant and 75 g/plant. The research variables were the plant height, number of leaves, number of primary branch, fresh and dry weight of roots and shoots, and chlorophyll content. The research data were analyzed by F test in 5% level and continue by DMRT in 5% level, if the treatment were significant. The result of research showed that there was an interaction between kind and dose of manure, which were the number of primary branch, fresh weight of root, dry weight of shoot and root dry weight. Kind of manure showed that 75 g/plant of chicken able to increase the chlorophyll content, root fresh weight shoot dry weight and root dry weight.     Efficiency of P Fertilizer at Sandy Paddy Soil of South Yogyakarta That were Added Zeolite with Rice (Oryza sativa L.) as Plant Indicator. The aim of this research were to study the efficiency of P fertilizer at sandy paddy soil of South Yogyakarta that were added zeolite with rice as plant indicator and to know treatment combination which give the highest yield of rice plant (Oryza sativa L.). This research were conducted in February 2007 to June 2007at paddy soil in Siliran V, Karangsewu, Galur, Kulonprogo Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. This research are field experiment. The experiment design are used Split Plot Design, as a main plot was zeolit, i.e. no zeolit and 750 kg.ha‐1 zeolite. Sub plot consist of five levels of P fertilizer, i.e. 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 kg.ha‐1 SP36. Each treatment was three replicated so there is 30 treatment plot. Data analyzed with F test, Kruskal‐Wallis test, DMRT 5% and Correlation test. The result from this research shows that added 750 kg.ha‐1 zeolit are not significant for efficiency of P absorption and Agronomic Efficiency Index. The added of SP36 fertilizer has increased significant highly efficiency of P absorption on SP36 dosage 200 kg.ha‐1 is 168.49 or can increase 127.87% in comparison with control. Interaction between 750 kg.ha‐1 zeolit and SP36 dosage 100 kg.ha‐1 (Z1P2) has highly Agronomic Efficiency Index (234.3). Interaction between zeolit and P fertilizer has not significant increased rice yield, but treatment interaction between 750 kg.ha‐1 zeolit and SP36 dosage 100 kg.ha‐1 give the highest highly unhulled paddy crop (23.61 g.plant‐1) and the highest weight 1000 unhulled paddy crop (24.33 g).     ISOLASI MIKROBA ASLI TANAH ANDISOL DIENG DAN KAJIAN POTENSINYA SEBAGAI INOKULAN PUPUK HAYATI PELARUT FOSFAT

    Title : Isolation of Indigenous Phosphate Solubilizing Microbia from Andisols Dieng and Its Potency as Inoculum of Phosphate Solubilizing Biofertilizer. Phosphor (P) is an essential macro nutrient that occur frequently in low availability for plant. This research aimed to find indigenous phosphate solubilizing microbia from Andisols Dieng as biofertilizer inoculum. It was conducted in UNS Soil Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, UNS. The research was begun with an exploratory research to obtain P solubilizer isolates (PSB). Research continued by two experiment, set by a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors: kind of isolate from Andisols Dieng and incubation time. The first experiment was conducted in temporary period in the pikovskaya liquid medium. The second experiment was conducted in vermicompost its carrier. Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times. As much as 106cell or spore was inoculated per gram of medium or vermicompost. Dissolved P , biomass or cell density, and pH at 0,1, 3 and 6 days after incubation for the pikovskaya liquid medium and at 0, 2, 4 weeks for vermicompost. The results showed that there were 4 isolates potential to be inoculums of P solubilizer biofertilizer, they were are isolates of bacteria (P1), Aspergillusniger, Fusarium sp, and Aspergillus tamarii. Aspergillus niger is the most potential inoculums as it highest viability and dissolving phosphate both in liquid media (2.83me/l), and vermicompost (36.78% ).Fosfor (P) merupakan unsur hara makro yang ketersediaannya bagi tanaman seringkali rendah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menemukan mikrobia asli tanah Andisol Dieng yang berpotensi sebagai inokulan pupuk hayati pelarut fosfat. Percobaan dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian UNS, Surakarta. Penelitian diawali dengan eksplorasi untuk memperoleh isolat-isolat mikrobia tanah Andisol Dieng, dilanjutkan dengan dua percobaan di laboratorium. Percobaan pertama menggunakan medium cair Pikovskaya dan percobaan kedua menggunakan medium vermikompos. Kedua percobaan disusun dalam rancangan acak lengkap dengan dua faktor yaitu macam isolat mikrobia (empat isolat) dan lama inkubasi (0, 1, 3 dan 6 hari untuk percobaan pertama dan 0, 2 dan 4 minggu untuk percobaan kedua). Masing-masing kombinasi perlakuan diulang tiga kali. Sebanyak 106 sel bakteri atau spora jamur diinokulasikan ke dalam tiap mililiter medium cair Pikovskaya atau tiap gram medium vermikompos.Variabel yang diamati adalah jumlah P-terlarut, kerapatan sel bakteri atau biomassa jamur dan pH medium. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan empat isolat mikrobia yang berpotensi sebagai pelarut fosfat yaitu satu isolat bakteri dan tiga isolat jamur yaitu Aspergillus niger, Fusarium sp dan Aspergillus tamarii. Jamur A. Niger memiliki potensi sebagai inokulan pupuk hayati pelarut fosfat paling tinggi bila dilihat dari kemampuannya berkembangbiak dan melarutkan fosfat dalam medium cair Pikovskaya dan medium vermikompos

    Title : The Effect of Organic Matter and Phosphor Fertilizer to Availability and Absorption of Phosphor with Sweet Corn Plant (Zea mays saccharata strurt) Indicator. This research purposes was to find out the effect of the kinds of organic sources and P fertilizer to the availability and absorption of phosphor in Andisols and to find out kinds of organic sources and P fertilizer dosage that can give the highest of availability and absorption of phosphor in Andisols. This research was conducted in Green House and Chemistry and Soil fertility Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Sebelas Maret University from June 2005 until January 2006. This research used Factorial Randomized Complete Design with two factors. The first factor was P0 (without P fertilizer), P1 (100 kg/ha P2O5) and P2 (100 kg/ha P2O5), the second factor consist of B0 (without organic matter), B1 (Gliricida sepium 10 ton/ha), B2 (rice stalk 12 ton/ha) and B3 (manure 14.25 ton/ha). They are 12 treatments that be repeated three times. Data were analyzed with F-test or Kruskal-Wallis test 1% and 5% was used to know the effect of treatment on experimental result. Duncan multiple range test 5% is used for comparing inter-treatment. For finding out the relation between primary dependent variable and secondary dependent one it is used correlation test. The result of research shows that the organic matter and P fertilizer appliances have very significant effects to the availability of phosphor in Andisols and the absorption of P by the plant. The rice stalk appliance 12 ton/ha with P fertilizer 100 kg/ha P2O5 (P2B2) gives the highest availability of phosphor; that is 24.67 mg/kg. The highest absorption of P can be found at the manure appliance 14.25 ton/ha and P fertilizer 100 kg/ha P2O5 (P2B3); that is 2.24 mg.     Title : Efficiency of S Up Take and Rice Yield with Quail Manure and Inorganic Fertilizer in Paddy Soil (Season II). The aim of this research was to know the effect of inorganic fertilizer quail manure to efficiency of Sulphur up take and to know treatment combination that give highest rice yield. This research had been done at Palur, Mojolaban, Sukoharjo, started from January until August 2008. This research used factorial experiment that arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors. The first factor was 3 levels of inorganic fertilizer dosage i.e.: without inorganic fertilizer, 50% recommendation dosage and 100% recommendation dosage (urea, ZA, SP‐36 and KCl were 300, 100, 150 and 100 kg. ha‐1). And second factor was 3 levels of quail manure dosage i.e.:0, 3 and 6 ton.ha‐1. Statistical analysis used F test, Duncan’s Multiple Range (DMR) test at 5% in level and Correlation test. The Result of this research showed that, interaction between inorganic and quail manure increased significantly efficiency of S uptake. Dosage quail manure increased significantly total weight of dry hust. The highest efficiency of S uptake was on 100% recommendation dosage inorganic fertilizer and quail manure dosage 3 ton.ha‐1 (44.12%).
