    Get PDF
ZnO material characterization was done to be used as optical probes from the plastic optical fiber. Characterization of ZnO materials by processing data obtained from scanning probe microscope (SPM) NTEGRA-AURA. The obtained data is in the form of images with different distance observations. It will be processed by 11 simulated images of proceeds image analysis (IA Analysis). Methodology of data processing is using average scanning Fast Fourier Transformation (ASFFT). This method consists of five characterization data processing techniques, i.e., power spectral density techniques, power spectral technique, magnitude spectrum technique, square root magnitude spectrum techniques and logarithmic spectrum techniques. The goal of average scanning FFT is determines a value of special characterization, because the result of surface morphology from SPM images cannot give exact information . Each techniques in this method will be used to see the details of each ZnO layer surface morphology of in units of frequency or frequency. The observation study of ZnO characterization is made by Atomic Force Microscopy without doing renovation materials. The treatment material as a layer probe of plastic optical fiber sensor was studied for detecting various chemical vapor and air pressure. Based on the detection method called interferometric Fabry – Perot, Plastic Optical Fiber probes will detect the changes of ZnO layer refractive index causes by environments

The aim of this study is to analyse the problems of Indonesian migrant workers and how legal aid organizations overcome that issue. The most of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia experience a range of human insecurity, living under threatening circumstances such as being victims of violence or physical abused and encounter severe deprivation of basic needs. Otherwise, some difficulties arise in the law enforcement to tackle those problems, because of the lack of access to justice in the legal framework. Therefore, the need of instruments to acknowledge, to provide and to implement the access to justice through legal aid assistance are important to secure social protection of migrant workers. This study elaborates the development and the role of legal aid organizations network concerning on access to justice for Indonesian migrant workers. The research method is using purposive sampling for qualitative data collection with content of analysis technique. The result study exposures that legal aid organizations have been handling several cases of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia by using pro-bono lawyer. However, there are problems of conducting advocacy; the lack of information in migrant workers about legal aid assistance because of the hindrance by their user, and the lack of good advocacy mechanism in legal institutions to empowerment function of access to justice. Thus, the need to strengthening network of migrant workers trade union, civil society and community; particularly in ASEAN countries is an important thing to start enforcing access to justice and ensuring human security for Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia

    Get PDF
Since heavy metals are potentially accumulated within vegetable organs, this research is conducted to identify those metals and their effects on the nutrient content. Two-Ways Analysis of Variance determined the effect of various location, vegetables, and vegetable organs towards metals. One-Way Analysis of Variance determined the effect of locations and fruit type on metals uptake. It is followed by examining heavy metals accumulation within edible parts of vegetables and its effects on protein, vitamin A and C. The Randomized Group Design of 3 factors (media, distribution, and vegetable organs) is employed considering 3 different harvesting times harvesting and cultivation adjustment (trimmed or not trimmed). The 3 factors Covariant Analysis defined the influences of media, time and way of harvesting on protein, vitamin A and C of water kangkoong stem and leaves. The results showed a significant influence of various areas (paddy field, industrial area, and highland) on Cd, Cr and Pb uptake within stems, leaves and fruits. Generally, the period and way of harvesting significantly influence the heavy metals uptake, level of protein, vitamin A and C, Mg and chlorophyll of water kangkoong. It is suggested to prune and harvest vegetables earlier to minimize heavy metals uptake and nutrient degradation

The Role of English in Fostering Online Business in Indonesia

    Get PDF
Currently, English is very important in attracting and gaining customers in the social media where the online business is based. This happens for many reasons. The use of English in labelling both the name of the shops and the products, for instance, dominates almost all online shops in the social media. In addition, the commonly used taglines such as “ready stock”, “open PO (Pre-Order)”, “hot seller”, also dominate the script of the products. Above all, the most important role of English is as the media of communication between the seller and the customers, especially from abroad. In this way, a seller is motivated to be able to speak and write in English in order to enhance his/her sales. Despite those facts, English itself has become a major trend language among the users of social media in Indonesia. Most of the Indonesians, especially youth, regard English as a “cool” language. In line with that, online business in Indonesia is also steadily growing. Day by day, many online shops appear by offering various products with various brands written in English. That is why, it is not doubtful to say that English has a significant role for Indonesians to get involved in the world market. Therefore, this research paper aims to examine the significance of English as a potential supply in fostering the success of online business, especially in Indonesia

Inverter Model and Control Strategies for Single-Phase Rooftop Photovoltaic in Unbalance Three–Phase Residential Network

    Get PDF
The installation of single-phase rooftop photovoltaic (PV) are growing world widely, which have several benefits and drawbacks in residential low voltage (LV) distribution system. In one hand, this distributed generation (DG) is easy to install, has low maintenance costs, and subsidies in price. On the other hand, as PVs are installed, without controlling their ratings and locations it may deteriorate the overall grid performance including reversed power flows, high losses and unacceptable voltage profiles. This paper proposes modelling and controlling strategies for grid-tied, rooftop PV inverters that address some concerns of high penetration PV while also adding several benefits to the utility. The modelling strategy contains of a proper inverters’ control, which is developed in order to extract the maximum amount of the photovoltaic generator. The control strategy does not require an advanced communications infrastructure, however it allows for several collective controls of active and reactive power outputs of the PV units and their grid-tied inverters. The proposed strategies are simulated in Matlab/ Simulink platform. The results show that the inverters are devouring very less voltage and current harmonic and able to maintain approximately constant voltage profile for highly unbalanced system
