Impact of the 2015 Godzilla El Niño event on the Indonesian rainfall
The impacts of El Niño events on the Indonesian rainfall have been documented by several earlier studies. This paper is aimed to extend the study on the El Niño impact by investigating the 2015 El Niño event, which was labelled as a “Godzilla El Niño†by NASA’s climatologist. The event is unique because of its strong intensity and it was preceded by weak 2014 El Niño. We analysed rainfall record of 87 stations for period 1981-2015 using percentile technique. The results show that during March 2015 – February 2016, the majority of stations recorded annual rainfall less than the 30th percentile, a dry condition. Based on analysis of three monthly running accumulation, we found 84%, 89% and 78% stations recording a dry condition during July-August-September (JAS), August-September-October (ASO) and September-October-November (SON), respectively. The largest impact was observed during October 2015 where 51% stations reported the rainfall below the 10th percentile, an extremely dry condition. Compared to 1997, the 2015 Godzilla El Niño event seems to have less impact on Indonesian rainfall even though the intensity of those two events is comparable. The number of stations experiencing dry and extremely dry condition was lower in 2015 than that in 1997, for all time scale we analysed. This may relate to the condition of sea surface temperature (SST) around Indonesia. We found that the Indonesian SST during June-November 2015 was warmer than that during 1997 indicating a more supporting condition for developing convective activity in 2015
Language Pattern of Arabic Debaters of International Islamic University Malaysia in Debating
This study aims to explain the Arabic debating language pattern among International Islamic University Malaysia Arabic debaters. It will focus on debating terms and phrases that are widely circulated in Arabic debating in this university whereby these terms distinguish debate from any other language activities such as forums, discussions and public speaking. This study will show examples of styles and phrases that are used by the debaters when they perform their roles as members of two opposing teams, which are the government and the opposition. This collection of examples can be used as a reference for those who participate in Arabic debate as well as for debate trainers. It can be a useful helping tool when training the novice. Although it may not be the best reference as there are too many language styles and phases debaters use, at the very least it can help debaters to have a grasp of basic debating phrases and terms and therefore, will lead to betterment in choosing the right phrases and words when they debate. It is important for them to have a good grasp of these phrases and terms on the basis, that debating is not a regular dialogue or discussion, but it is also an art of systematic and constructive argumentation. Furthermore, the debate skill requires a high accuracy of words used, clarity of ideas and ‘straight to the point’ manner of speaking without any elongation of the time allocated for every speaker/debater is very limited

Plagiarism in the Perspective of Ethics and Law
Plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else`s work or ideas such as papers or articles or essays without the permission of the authors and then passing them off as his or her own. Plagiarism constitutes the type of copyright crime, and it violates The Copyright Law if the object or victim is the original creative expression. From the moral and ethical view, plagiarism clearly violates the norms of society and even breaks The Law of Copyright since the plagiarists take the ideas of others without the legal permission of the owners and usually do not mention explicitly and clearly the sources of the original works. The academic environment is very susceptible with the practice of plagiarism. So it is very difficult now to overcome plagiarism or piracy which is getting more prevalent. Ethic awareness that commonly seems to be ignored in quoting the ideas or works encourages the habit of taking copyrighted material without permission. The students` awareness publishing and prioritizing their original compositions have not been any better up to now that triggers the prevalence of plagiarism among students. The students committing plagiarism usually dissemble their pirated ideas by arguing that just get inspiration from the works of others, not pirating. The globalization and modernization of the cyberspace that is getting advanced generate the prevalence of the practice of plagiarism and piracy especially in the academic environment. The highly developed cyberspace technology is commonly abused by plagiarists or anyone to ruin the originality of the academicians` works and internet users are generally facilitated to commit plagiarism and piracy upon the academicians` scientific works
Android Maze Game for Children as an Autism Therapy
Smartphone technology is increasingly used to help things in everyday life and becoming more sophisticated in mobile application. Nowadays it use to handling children with special needs, particularly children with autism. A game application could provide the therapist with game module and approach that is suitable for them to conduct the therapy. This study identify an alternative option of edutainment design that may be usable for ASD's children. The study in an autism therapy field can be improved in this research by using motion sensors on mobile devices tools to facilitate them. Therefore, we have develop an android application of a maze game that are suitable to use as a medium for play therapy specially for children with autism. The game is simple, easy to use and integrates interactivity and fun activities where user can learn more than just a common game

Developing Model of Biology Hand Book Writing Base on Ecology and Local Oriented to Increase Students’ Care Environment
A study using Research and Development design was conducted to produce a model of Biology hand book writing base on ecology and local oriented as an effort to increase students’ care toward environment. The background of this research is the reality that the awareness and care of the school graduate toward the environment safe is still low. Besides, hard science instructional at school could not affect or intervene the graduate’s characteristics, for instance in keeping the environment awareness. Whilst, there are many concepts of environment were taught through hard science especially biology, so in the researcher’s point of view, biology subject has strategic role to prevent or mitigate the environment disaster caused by human error. The model was validated at paddy ecosystem. The analysis of the research result includes three aspects, namely: 1) Comprehension, 2) Environment Care Attitude, and 3) Handbook Readability. Based on the result of paddy ecosystem data analysis, it was found that (1) there was a significant difference between experimental class and control class in the paddy ecosystem base on show by tcalculation> ttable (6.150 > 2.00); (2) there was strong correlation between students’ comprehension and attitude base on show by coefficient correlation (r) 0.769. While the text readability test (Cloze Test) show (1) the readability of paddy ecosystem text is 56.72% (moderate). Therefore, the conclusion is that all of the texts in the developed book are fit and proper for Senior High School Students of grade X in East Lampung
The Development of Forest-Prototype Based Learning Model to Activate Students Science Process Skills in Biology Learning
The objective of this research was to produce forest prototype-based learning model. This research and development conducted by using 4D model from Thiagarajan consist of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Syllabus, lesson plan, student’s worksheet, activity guidance, observation sheet of science process skill, and evaluation instrument were developed. Learning model testing was conducted in 2 (two) classrooms containing of 106 students. In this learning model testing, students conducted learning with learning forest model in groups according to developed syntax. This activities were observed with science process skills observation sheets. The research results showed that implementation of developed learning model was able to activate science process skills including skills of observing, classifying, measuring, communicating, and inferring. The average of science process skills score form these two try out results is 4.09 (scoring at scale 1-5), similar 81.70%. Based on this result, the researcher recommends teachers to use learning forest model to activate science process skills in biology learning
