    The Role of Facebook Group Features for Travelers and Tourism Service Providers in Planning a Trip to Bali

    Social media has become a major source of inspiration, reference, and decision-making in planning a travel trip. This study aims to determine the influence of Facebook public group features on tourist trip planning decisions and the implications of using this feature on tourism service providers. The data collection was carried out in two ways, the first by providing a list of questions to informants online and the second by conducting semi structured interviews with tourists and tourism service providers who use Facebook public group feature. Data were analyzed using NVivo 12 Pro to identify meaningful patterns. The results show that it is divided into two categories, the point of view of travelers and tourism service providers. It identified four main roles from a traveler's perspective: activeness, sources of information, reviews and recommendations, and weaknesses.Three main roles emerged from the perspective of tourism service providers, including the utilization of interactions' output, threats, weaknesses, and competitive conditions in the field. The patterns of interactions in Facebook public groups demonstrate the findings.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari fitur grup publik Facebook dalam pengambilan keputusan perencanaan perjalanan wisatawan dan mengetahui implikasi dari penggunaan fitur ini pada pelaku layanan wisata. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan dengan dua cara, yang pertama dengan memberikan daftar pertanyaan kepada informan secara daring dan melakukan wawancara semi-terstruktur terhadap wisatawan dan pelaku layanan wisata yang menggunakan fitur grup publik Facebook. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak analisis data kualitatif (Nvivo 12 Pro) untuk mengindentifikasi pola bermakna. Hasil dari kajian ini terbagi dalam dua kategori yaitu dari sudut pandang wisatawan dan pelaku layanan wisata. Ditemukan empat peran utama dari sudut pandang wisatawan yaitu keaktifan, sumber informasi, ulasan dan rekomendasi, serta kelemahan. Untuk sudut pandang pelaku layanan wisata ditemukan tiga peran utama yaitu pemanfaataan output dari interaksi, ancaman dan kelemahan dan kondisi persaingan di lapangan.     Stunting, a significant public health issue in Indonesia, adversely affects both child development and the country's economic well-being. This study investigates how AI- powered chatbots could enhance dietary advice and lower Indonesia's stunting rates. Owing to the restricted availability of certified nutritionists and the pervasiveness of mobile devices, chatbots present a scalable and convenient means of providing customized dietary advice. To properly study this topic and provide a comprehensive understanding of the situation, this study employs a quantitative approach using surveys and statistical analysis. The results suggest that chatbots driven by AI have the potential to resolve nutritional counseling issues in Indonesia; 80% of participants have prior experience utilizing chatbots. However, user needs, cultural context, and technology constraints must all be carefully considered for successful implementation. These findings indicate that implementing AI-powered chatbots is a promising strategy to significantly reduce stunting rates in Indonesian children in the process. Future research should concentrate on the development and evaluation of culturally appropriate andevidence-based chatbot interventions for potential use.Stunting, masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang signifikan di Indonesia, memiliki dampak buruk pada perkembangan anak dan kesejahteraan ekonomi negara. Penelitian ini menyelidiki bagaimana chatbot berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI) dapat meningkatkan konseling gizi dan menurunkan tingkat stunting di Indonesia. Mengingat keterbatasan ketersediaan ahli gizi bersertifikat dan maraknya penggunaan perangkat seluler, chatbot menyajikan cara yang terukur dan nyaman untuk memberikan saran diet yang disesuaikan. Untuk mempelajari topik ini dengan benar dan memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang situasinya, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang menggunakan dua teknik berbeda - survei dan analisis statistik data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa chatbot yang didukung oleh AI memiliki potensi untuk mengatasi masalah konseling gizi di Indonesia. Chatbot  berpotensi mengurangi tingkat stunting dengan menawarkan informasi yang dapat diandalkan, disesuaikan, dan mudah diakses agar para orang tua dengan mudah menentukan pilihan gizi yang tepat, namun perlu juga untuk dipertimbangkan penggunaannya dengan kebutuhan pengguna, dan konteks budaya serta efisiensi penggunaan teknologi. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu berkontribusi pada pengetahuan yang berkembang tentang kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam peningkatan kualitas kesehatan, terutama di negara-negara berpenghasilan rendah dan menengah.     Analisis Eye-Tracking Pengalaman Pengguna pada TikTok Museum MACAN

    This experimental study explores how Generation Z and Y in Indonesia interact with Museum MACAN’s TikTok content, using eye-tracking to understand engagement with cultural content on this pivotal platform. Participants undertook tasks of varying lengths (120, 300, and 180 seconds) to reflect different engagement scenarios, with metrics like Participant Quality Grade (PQG), test duration, browser dimensions, K-factor, gaze, and fixation counts assessing interaction depth. Results indicate high engagement levels, with quality ranging from good to excellent and a noted preference for focal processing, suggesting users’ concentrated attention on video content. Heatmaps confirmed video content as the primary focus area. This study highlights TikTok’s role in enhancing museum engagement and provides insights for cultural institutions to refine their social media content strategies.Media sosial telah menjadi bagian penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dengan TikTok sebagai salah satu platform yang paling populer di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengalaman pengguna TikTok Museum MACAN menggunakan teknik eye-tracking. Metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eye-tracking digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari pengguna Gen Z (berusia 18-23 tahun) dan Gen Y (berusia 26-34 tahun) yang merupakan followers TikTok Museum MACAN. Eksperimen dilakukan melalui serangkaian tugas yang melibatkan menelusuri TikTok Museum MACAN dan menjawab pertanyaan terkait konten museum. Durasi pada setiap tugas berbeda, tugas 1 120 detik, Tugas 2 300 detik, dan Tugas 3 180 detik. Data hasil eksperimen dianalisis berdasarkan item participant quality grade (PQG), test duration, test browser width, test browser height, K-factor mean, gaze count, fixation count, dan heatmap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) nilai PQG seluruh partisipan 4, 5, dan 6; 2) mayoritas partisipan dalam menelusuri konten TikTok Museum MACAN membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama; 3) lebar dan tinggi layar browser ideal rata-rata seluruh partisipan 1.416,6 x 876,8 px; 4) K-factor mean seluruh partisipan cenderung menunjukkan K>0; 5) nilai gaze count dan fixation count partisipan pada setiap tugas bervariasi; 7) heatmap sampel partisipan menunjukkan fokus perhatian cenderung pada tampilan video

    Research on linguistic entrepreneurship in Indonesia is the newest one. This study analyzes the spoken and written language used in the coffee shop industry. This study aims to identify the language learning motivations of coffee shop business actors in marketing their products, specifically through the use of Indonesian in social media marketing and direct consumer outreach. This research employed descriptive qualitative methods to investigate the effects of linguistic entrepreneurship on coffee shop business actors, as well as to address variables that remain unclear and require further exploration. This research focuses on the resources available for using Indonesian both verbally and in writing. Business actors can seek linguistic entrepreneurship through their motivation to learn the language and the methods they employ to do so. The implication of using Indonesian in the economy is that it can serve as a policy for business. The research uniquely focuses on the Indonesian coffee shop industry as a specific context where linguistic entrepreneurship plays a vital role. The study delves into the connection between Indonesian language learning and entrepreneurial activities, particularly in thepromotion and marketing of coffee products.Penelitian sekait linguistic enterpreneruhsip di Indonesia merupakan hal yang baru. Mengetahui implikasi kewirausahaan linguistik pada pelaku bisnis kedai kopi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk menjawab permasalahan penelitian yang tidak mengetahui variabel-variabelnya dan perlu mengeksplorasi. Fokus penelitian ini megekplorasi sumber daya dalam penggunaan bahasa Indonesia secara lisan dan tulisan.     Kelas Daring Sinkronus dan Asinkronus di Sekolah Menengah Pariwisata di Indonesia: Aplikasi Teknologi dan Tantangan

    There has been an increasingly dominant use of technology in education institutions, yet limited studies holistically investigate the utilization of technological applications in tourism vocational high schools. This research explored the synchronous and asynchronous technological applications used and the challenges experienced by teachers and students of a tourism vocational high school in Indonesia, mainly in hotel and culinary online classrooms. This research employed a qualitative approach. Data were collected by observing four classes in two vocational schools in Yogyakarta and Bali. Interviews with five teachers and five students were also conducted on a voluntary basis. The findings indicate that teachers and students used various technological applications like Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Team, Cisco WebEx, Discord,and Skype for synchronous online learning. They also utilized more technological applications such as WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Classroom, Google Form, Telegram, Moodle, Screencast-O-Matic, Facebook, Instagram, Quizzes, Kahoot, and Twitterfor their asynchronous online learning. Both teachers and students faced technical, pedagogical, psychological, and personal challenges such as an unstable internet connection, a lack of technological literacy, incompatible gadgets, limited participation, work overload, demotivation, and a lack of focus on learning. To conclude, a number of technological applications were used to facilitate learning in hotel and culinary departments, even though there were many challenges that came with their usage. The results of this research can be used by relevant stakeholders preparing for future learning, especially in vocational high schools.Penggunaan teknologi semakin dominan di institusi pendidikan, namun penelitian yang menyelidiki pemanfaatan aplikasi teknologi di sekolah menengah kejuruan pariwisata masih terbatas. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi aplikasi teknologi sinkronus dan asinkronus yang digunakan serta tantangan yang dialami oleh guru dan siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) Pariwisata di Indonesia, terutama di kelas online perhotelan dan kuliner. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan mengamati 4 kelas di dua SMK di Yogyakarta dan Bali. Wawancara terhadap lima guru dan lima siswa juga dilakukan atas dasar sukarela. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa menggunakan berbagai aplikasi teknologi seperti Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Team, Cisco WebEx, Discord, dan Skype untuk pembelajaran sinkronus. Mereka juga lebih memanfaatkan aplikasi teknologi seperti WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Classroom, Google Form, Telegram, Moodle, Screencast-O-Matic, Facebook, Instagram, Quizzes, Kahoot, dan Twitter untuk pembelajaran asinkronus. Baik guru maupun siswa menghadapi tantangan teknis, pedagogi, psikologis, dan personal seperti koneksi internet yang tidak stabil, kurangnya literasi teknologi, gawai yang tidak sesuai, terbatasnya partisipasi, beban kerja yang berlebihan, demotivasi dan kurangnya fokus dalam pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, sejumlah aplikasi teknologi digunakan untuk membantu memfasilitasi pembelajaran di jurusan perhotelan dan kuliner meskipun banyak tantangan yang muncul dalam penggunaannya.     The Influence of Lifestyle and Travel Motivation on Intention in Using the Nusuk Platform in the Umrah Mandiri Community

    Hajj and Umrah are popular in Indonesia, where most people are Muslim. Data shows that every year, the number of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims tends to increase. This is the background for the proliferation of Hajj and Umrah travel businesses in Indonesia. As technology progressed, Indonesians started to insist on conducting Umrah mandiri, or independent Umrah, independently, without the assistance of a travel agency. We conducted this study using the Nusuk platform in the Independent Umrah Community to analyze the impact of lifestyle on travel intention and motivation. We used SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) as the analysis method, with the assistance of LISREL software. The study sample consisted of 300 respondents. The findings showed that lifestyle and travel motivation variables have a positive and significant influence on the intention to use the Nusuk platform. This research not only employs a statistical tool but also analyzes the independent Umrah community's intention to utilize the new platform, a topic not previously explored in prior studies. We anticipate that this research will assist Nusuk platform managers in creating more appealing programs, thereby boosting user intentions

    What is Sufism? In simple terms, Sufism is a moral-spiritual aspect of Islamic teachings. When we attempt to define it, we encounter a scientific discourse about the ‘deepest secret’, which is significantly more intricate than we initially thought. Therefore, readers should independently investigate and draw their conclusions, which may include a comprehensive exploration of the book under review. Sufism, as a practice, teaches us how to feel the deepest secret intimately and substantially. Of course, capturing the breadth and abstractness of this experience in an instant definition anchor will be challenging, particularly when this mystical experience manifests in or intersects with Sufis’ moral choices in the social, political, economic, and cultural realms. Bruce B. Lawrence, at the end of this book, compares Sufism to an elephant in a dark room. Anyone who tries to guess it—with a particular approach, methodology, and scientific perspective—is not uncovering the whole thing, but only groping for partial reality as it appears in the gaps of his perception.Apa itu tasawuf?     Navigating the Digital Landscape: Unveiling Language Dynamics and Digital Identity among Indonesia’s Contemporary Generation

    This research article investigates the impact of the Internet on language development and digital linguistics in Indonesia. It explores the search frequency and familiarity trends of Indonesian words and phrases, examining their connection to social change and identity. The study utilizes the Google Trend platform to collect data from 2018 to 2023, capturing the prevalence of the Indonesian language in Google searches. The research incorporates a comparative analysis of online data from social media, incorporating ethnographic interviews with 30 participants, and conducting a comprehensive lexicon survey. 77 Indonesian words and phrases are collected and analyzed, providing insights into familiarity patterns. Additionally, interviews and surveys are conducted with Indonesian university students to understand their attitudes towards language, its role in shaping identities, internet usage, and societal norms. The analysis focuses on 40 selected words, investigating their correlation with language patterns, identity formation, emotions, and societal conventions. The findings reveal how neologisms within Indonesia’s digital linguistic landscape reflect societal shifts, including contemporary events, social media trends, and societal pressures. The proliferation of trending words aligned with themes of identity, societal norms, and emotional well-being highlights the influence of social media and the Internet on language dissemination. These changes are deeply embedded in Indonesia’s digital linguistic milieu and are further elucidated through interviews, offering insights into internet users’ linguistic practices. The study emphasizes the importance of tracking language and societal trends for self-expression and integration into diverse communities. It also highlights the reciprocal relationship between self-identity and communal influence on language development. This research contributes to understanding language dynamics and digital identity in the Indonesian context, revealing the complex interplay between language, society, and individual perspectives.  

    User Interface Aplikasi Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan Seksual di IT Telkom Purwokerto

    Since 2015 until 2022, there has been a surge in cases of sexual violence in the educational environment. Based on data compiled from SIMFONI PPA (Online Information System for the Protection of Women and Children), approximately 21,000 cases of sexual violence were recorded in the educational environment in 2022. This violence also occurs in the realm of higher education, and unfortunately, the handling of sexual violence in higher education institutions still relies on manual methods, leading to convoluted processes. As a result, very few victims report incidents due to the complexity of reporting and the sluggishness of the handling process. There is a need for action to address this issue, one of which is designing an application as a platform for addressing sexual violence. This research aims to design a user interface for an application to address sexual violence in higher education institutions in Indonesia using the design thinking method. The subjects involved are the academic community of IT Telkom Purwokerto as samples. In the testing, it was found that the application design created can help accommodate the needs of victims in the process of addressing sexual violence. This design is expected to serve as a blueprint for addressing sexual violence in higher education.Beberapa dekade belakangan, kekerasan seksual mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Berdasarkan data yang dihimpun dari SIMFONI PPA (Sistem Informasi Online Perlindungan Perempuan dan Anak), pada tahun 2020 terdapat 8.216 kasus kekerasan seksual. Angka tersebut terus melonjak menjadi 10.328 kasus pada 2021. Lebih mirisnya lagi, kekerasan tersebut juga terjadi di ranah perguruan tinggi. Perlu adanya solusi dari masalah tersebut, salah satunya adalah dengan merancang aplikasi sebagai media pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan Seksual. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang user interface aplikasi sebagai media pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan seksual di perguruan tinggi di Indonesia menggunakan metode design thinking. Subjek yang terlibat adalah sivitas akademika IT Telkom Purwokerto sebagai sempel. Perancangan tersebut menghasilkan 17 fitur dan 73 screen. Dalam pengujian prototype di dapati hasil dari 20 user, 15 user mampu menyelesaikan skenario, 2 user dropped-off, dan 3 user gagal.  Prototype tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi cetak biru untuk menangani kekerasan seksual di perguruan tinggi

    Kampung sepatu Cibaduyut in Bandung is known as a Cibaduyut shoe village and as a residential area with dominant shoe industry activities. Knowledge of shoemaking was preserved from generation to generation in this village. Kampung Cibaduyut had business relationships with branded shoe entrepreneurs, including export shoe brands in Bandung such as Tegep Boots and Exodos57. Through these relationships, the basic knowledge network of kampung sepatu Cibaduyut could develop to reach the global market. This study aims to explore the architectural spaces (artifacts) and human actors who play an important role in bringing local knowledge to Cibaduyut so that it can be used by foreign consumers using the Actor-Network Theory (ANT) method. The results of this study showed that production spaces in the form of workshops and home industries in kampung sepatu Cibaduyut were places where knowledge was transferred through local brand export shoes to foreign countries.Kampung Sepatu Cibaduyut di Bandung dikenal sebagai permukiman dengan aktivitas industri sepatu yang dominan. Pengetahuan tentang pembuatan sepatu dipertahankan secara turun termurun di kampung ini. Di dalam kampung Cibaduyut terjadi relasi bisnis dengan pengusaha sepatu bermerek, termasuk jenama sepatu ekspor di Bandung seperti Tegep Boots dan Exodos57. Melalui relasi tersebut, jaringan pengetahuan dasar Kampung Sepatu Cibaduyut dapat berkembang hingga mencapai pasar global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri ruang-ruang arsitektur (artefak) dan aktor manusia yang berperan penting dalam membawa pengetahuan lokal di Cibaduyut hingga dapat digunakan oleh konsumen luar negeri menggunakan metode Actor-Network Theory (ANT).
