Tes Kemampuan Bahasa Inggris Berbasis Komputer untuk Seleksi Beasiswa: Tantangan, Strategi, dan Implementasi pada Kementerian Keuangan
The need for a safe and versatile testing system during COVID-19 pandemic for scholarship selection prompted the Financial Education and Training Agency (FETA), an echelon-1 unit under the Ministry of Finance, to design the Aplikasi Ujian Online computer-based test platform. This paper focused on exploring challenges in developing and administering English competency assessment through the computer-based platform and the strategies to overcome them. The research used the descriptive method with direct observation and questionnaire for data collection. Three receptive skills (listening, structure, and reading comprehension) were measured on 337 applicants of the Ministerial Scholarship offered by the Ministry of Finance in 2021. A post-test questionnaire was administered to investigate test takers' perceptions. The findings showed that loading time and login difficulty were the most common issues. However, preformulated risk-mitigation strategies were found to be effective in resolving the issues. Overall, the questionnaire result showed a significantly positive perception of the computer-based English competency test.Kebutuhan akan suatu sistem tes yang aman dan serbaguna untuk seleksi beasiswa mendorong Badan Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Keuangan (BPPK), sebuah unit eselon 1 di bawah Kementerian Keuangan, untuk merancang sistem ujian berbasis komputer bernama Aplikasi Ujian Online. Penelitian ini berfokus pada mendalami tantangan dalam mengembangkan dan menyelenggarakan penilaian kemampuan bahasa Inggris dan strategi untuk mengatasinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. dengan pengamatan langsung dan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data. Tiga kecakapan reseptif (listening, structure, dan reading comptehension) diujikan pada 337 pendaftar beasiswa Ministerial Scholarship yang ditawarkan oleh Kementerian Keuangan pada tahun 2021. Sebuah kuesioner pascaujian disebarkan untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta ujian. Penelitian menemukan bahwa waktu muat dan kesulitan login adalah masalah paling umum yang dihadapi oleh peserta tes. Namun demikian, strategi mitigasi risiko yang telah disusun sebelumnya dirasa efektif untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang terjadi. Secara keseluruhan, hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa peserta tes memiliki persepsi yang sangat positif mengenai uji kemampuan bahasa Inggris berbasis komputer

This paper contributes a technocultural perspective in understanding a socialconstruction of the Jembatan Hati 3 bridge as a technology, to uncover the technologicaland social dimensions of the bridge. An ethnographic research method is employed inunderstanding a bridge as a technological and social product. The design, construction,and maintenance of bridge in Kampong Cipadung, Desa Daroyon, Kecamatan Cileles,Kabupaten Lebak, Banten, Indonesia. This method is based on a participatory model,in which a team of engineers and researchers (the outsiders) and the local people (theinsiders) collaborate in defining the design, function and maintenance of the bridge,based on a geographical, environmental, and social conditions. The result of the researchshows that the bridge construction is a symbiosis of technical logic of functionality,simplicity, efficiency, durability, and social logics of connectedness, improvement,cohesiveness, and commonness.Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi perspektif teknokultural dalam memahami konstruksi sosial jembatan hati 3 sebagai sebuah teknologi, untuk mengungkap dimensi teknologi dan sosial dari jembatan tersebut. Metode penelitian etnografi digunakan dalam memahami jembatan sebagai produk teknologi dan sosial. Perancangan, konstruksi, dan pemeliharaan jembatan di Kampung Cipadung, Desa Daroyon, Kecamatan Cileles, Kabupaten Lebak, Banten Indonesia. Metode ini menggunakan model partisipatif, yaitu tim insinyur dan peneliti (dari luar) dan masyarakat lokal (dalam) berkolaborasi dalam mendefinisikan desain, fungsi dan pemeliharaan jembatan, berdasarkan kondisi geografis, lingkungan, dan sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembangunan jembatan merupakan simbiosis logika teknis fungsionalitas, kesederhanaan, efisiensi, daya tahan, dan logika sosial keterhubungan, peningkatan, kekompakan, kesamaan
ROLE OF LEADERSHIP AND CLAN CULTURE DURING PANDEMIC COVID-19: CAN IT CREATE LOYALTY?
The research empirically tests how organizational culture and democratic leadership style affect Small Music Studio Business employee loyalty. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with descriptive and causal research objectives. The number of samples carried out for this study is the population of Small Music Studio Business employees in Bandung. The analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis and descriptive analysis. The research limitations are limited sample size and data collection related to the object, which is categorized as small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The results indicate that organizational clan culture and democratic leadership style positively and significantly impact employee loyalty, either partially or simultaneously. The linkage between organizational clan culture and democratic leadership style toward employee loyalty shows a 70 percent correlation, and the rest of the value, 30 percent are affected by any other factors.Penelitian ini menguji secara empiris bagaimana budaya organisasi dan kepemimpinan demokratis mempengaruhi loyalitas karyawan pada Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) Studio Musik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kausal. Sampel penelitian diambil dari populasi karyawan pada UKM Studio Musik di Bandung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif analisis dan analisis regresi berganda. Penelitian ini memiliki batasan pada sampel yang digunakan dan pengumpulan data yang terbatas pada UKM. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa budaya klan dan kepemimpinan demokratis secara positif dan signifikan mempengaruhi loyalitas karyawan secara parsial dan simultan. Hubungan antar budaya klan dan kepemimpinan demokratis terhadap loyalitas karyawan menunjukkan angka hubungan 70 persen , sementara 30 persennya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain
SMARTPHONE APPLICATION VOICE OVER INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED IN WEST JAVA “SI VOTUN JABAR”
Through Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Information Disclosure, the government has begun to open a portal for information disclosure for the public, including persons with disabilities who are blind. Therefore, we need an android application based on voice over for the blind in West Java for the needs of digital public information requests and evaluate the application based on the ease of service access, the accuracy of the data, and information requested. This research uses qualitative methods and the type of research is action research. The interview technique was the method chosen to collect data and then used Miles and Huberman analysis techniques in the form of data reduction and presentation and drawing conclusions. From this study, it was found that the West Java Si Votun application for the blind was good. Judging from the ease of access, the operation is easy, the accuracy of the data provided is precise, and the narrative details are easy to understand.Melalui Undang-undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2008 tentang Keterbukaan Informasi, pemerintah mulai membuka portal untuk keterbukaan informasi bagi masyarakat tidak terkecuali penyandang disabilitas tuna netra. Maka dari itu diperlukan sebuah aplikasi android berbasis voice over bagi tuna netra yang ada di Jawa Barat untuk kebutuhan permohonan informasi publik digital dan mengevaluasi aplikasi tersebut berdasarkan kemudahan akses layanan, keakuratan data dan informasi yang diminta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan jenis penilitian yakni action research. Teknik wawancara menjadi metode yang dipilih untuk mengumpulkan data lalu digunakan juga teknik analisis Miles dan Huberman berupa reduksi dan penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa aplikasi Si Votun Jabar bagi tuna netra sudah baik. Dilihat dari kemudahan akses dalam pengoperasiannya sudah mudah, keakuratan data yang diberikan sudah tepat, dan detail narasi yang mudah dipahami.

Chatbot sebagai Asisten Customer Service dan Public Relations di Indonesia: Studi Difusi Inovasi Teknologi
Chatbot technology is one of the tools to improve service. In chatbots, communicationis no longer between humans and humans, but between humans and machines or robots,despite it still use human language. In Indonesia, the literature on chatbots is morefocused on the technological aspect, while the communication aspect is still inadequate.This research is a diffusion of innovations study to explain the dissemination ofchatbots’ adoption in Indonesia. Data through interviews with five sources withdifferent backgrounds. Researchers target government agencies as users of chatbotapplications to serve the public, also micro businesses that use automation, and a chatbotprovider as an active party in communicating chatbot technology. Researchers alsoexplore the experiences gained by end-user chatbots. The findings show that the mainreasons for adopting chatbots in Indonesia are the swiftness of service, the efficiencyof human resources, and the unlimited working hours. This leads to chatbots easingthe information process, both customer services, and public relations. The mass mediacommunication channel is used to introduce chatbot services to the public. While theinterpersonal communication channel is used to transfer knowledge from the developerto the administrator.Chatbot adalah salah satu teknologi dalam peningkatan pelayanan informasi. Dalam chatbot, komunikasi tidak lagi antara manusia dengan manusia, melainkan antara manusia dengan mesin atau robot meskipun masih dengan bahasa manusia. Di Indonesia, literatur tentang chatbot lebih banyak mengenai aspek teknologi, sedangkan aspek komunikasi masih kurang. Penelitian ini merupakan studi difusi inovasi untuk menjelaskan adopsi chatbots di Indonesia. Data melalui wawancara dengan 5 (lima) narasumber dengan latar belakang berbeda yakni, instansi pemerintah, pelaku usaha mikro, dan penyedia chatbot, serta pengguna layanan chatbot. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa alasan utama adopsi chatbots di Indonesia adalah kecepatan layanan, efisiensi sumber daya manusia, dan jam kerja yang tidak terbatas. Hal ini sejalan dengan tujuan chatbot yang memudahkan penyediaan informasi, baik sebagai customer services, dan hubungan masyarakat. Kanal komunikasi media massa digunakan untuk memperkenalkan layanan chatbot. Sedangkan saluran komunikasi interpersonal digunakan untuk mentransfer pengetahuan dari developer ke administrator
Technostress Antar Pekerja Selama Pandemi Covid-19: Level Manajerial Versus Professional
This study aims to assess the differences in technostress received by workers at themanagerial level and professional workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This studyuses a comparative research design concerning Techo-Overload, Techno-Invasion,Techno-Complexity, Techno-Insecurity, and Techno-Uncertainty between the twogroups of workers were studied. Questionnaires were distributed to 119 of workers.The results of the independent sample t-test showed that all the null hypotheses for the variables Techno-Overload, Techno-Invasion, Techno-Complexity, Techno- Insecurity, and Techno-Uncertainty were rejected, which means that there is no difference in technostress between workers at the managerial level and professional workers. Meanwhile, based on the Mann-Whitney U Test, it is known that the level of technostress measured only by Techo-Invasion has differences between the two groups of workers. The result indicates that the massive use of technology amid COVID-19 is disturbing the personal lives of workers at the managerial level.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan technostress yang diterima pekerja di level manajerial dan pekerja profesional di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi komparatif kausal dengan menggunakan 2 variabel bebas, dimana peneliti mengeksplorasi apakah ada perbedaan antara pekerja di level manajerial dan profesional dalam hal technostress akibat penggunaan teknologi informasi dan digitalisasi selama pandemi. Analisis yang digunakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara 119 pekerja yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok pekerja menggunakan uji t sampel independen. Hasil uji independent sample t test menunjukkan bahwa semua hipotesis nol untuk variabel Techno-Overload, Techno-Invasion, Techno-Complexity, Techno-Insecurity dan Techno-Uncertaity ditolak yang artinya tidak ada perbedaan technostress antar pekerja. pada level manajerial dan pekerja profesional. Sedangkan berdasarkan Mann-Whitney U Test diketahui bahwa hanya tingkat technostress yang diukur dengan Techo-Invasion yang memiliki perbedaan antara kedua kelompok pekerja tersebut
PEMETAAN KONSEP, PRINSIP, MEKANISME, DAN ELEMEN PAPER ENGINEERING
Paper engineering or often referred to pop-up has been growing and gaining popularity among people. Yet, until todaythere have been no well-structured mapping made in the study of paper engineering as done in other studies in art anddesign. This research, therefore, aims to map the concept, principle, mechanisms, and elements of paper engineering forcreators and people who are interested in exploring the art of paper engineering to learn. The research is done throughliterature study, either from books or the internet; it was taken from interviews with professional paper engineers inIndonesia. Based on the results of this research, the principle of paper engineering consists of five principles: interactivity,compact, consistency, flexibility, and surprise. The mechanism of paper engineering can be classified into two categories:the movement and the form of the mechanism. The study also reveals that the whole mechanism of paper engineeringconsists of four types of elements: the base page, the object being moved, the moving object, and the builder element.The results of this research can be used as a study reference about the art of paper engineering for students, teachers,practitioners, and fans of paper engineering art
INOVASI LINGKUNGAN: PEMBERDAYAAN SOSIAL MASYARAKAT KAMPUNG PERKOTAAN (STUDI KASUS DI SURABAYA)
The leading kampung in the city of Surabaya has become a self-supporting social entity with a hybrid organizationalfunction. This has made Surabaya one of the Global Green Cities in 2017. These kampungs in Surabaya carry outcommunity empowerment independently in their function to complement or balance the government functions. Theempowerment puts forward social functions based on environmental innovation in creating commercial goals that provide benefits for its members. This study aims to find the determinants of environmental innovation resulting from social empowerment of urban village communities with a qualitative approach. The researcher acts as an instrument withsix sources from five selected leading kampungs: Mangrove Kampung, Bratang Binangun Kampung, Grudo Kampung,Maspati Kampung, and Jambangan Kampung. Data were collected through field observations and document searches forapproximately two months from August to September 2019. The analysis and validation were processed by triangulation,checking group members, and rich descriptions of the essence of environmental innovation in the city of Surabaya
PENGEMBANGAN DAN VALIDASI KUESIONER DAMPAK EVENT OLAHRAGA PADA MASYARAKAT (KDEOPM)
The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument that reveals public perception related to the impact of organizingsports events. Theoretically, four aspects were used as an indicator in understanding the impact of sports events onsociety, namely economic, psycho-social, infrastructure, and environmental aspects. The four aspects were broken downinto 46 statements with five alternative answers. The validation test involved 113 respondents, consisting of 77 (68.14%)male, 36 (31.86%) women. The age range was between 17 - 70 years (M = 32.6 ± 10.9) and the level of educationwas from elementary school to Doctoral degree (S3) with a wide variety of occupational backgrounds. The results ofexplanatory factor analysis found the variables of sports events can be explained by four factors (economic, psychosocial, infrastructure, and environment) with a value of 63.24% (approximately 10.37% for the first factor, 13.096%for the second factor, 7.94% for the third factor and 6.43% for the fourth factor). A correlation coefficient test betweenfactors, totals, and items-total found environmental factors to have low coefficient values (r = -0.005, Sig. 0.961), andthree items in that factor had a value of < 0.3. Hence, environmental factors and items were excluded from the instrument. The results found that there were 26 items declared valid and reliable with validity values of 0.462 - 0.744 and reliability of 0.881 - 0.934. Thus, the property of the instrument developed was declared valid and reliable in revealing public perception of the impact of sports events
PEMBUATAN ALAT SHUTTLE RUN DENGAN DATA TERSIMPAN PADA DATABASE BERBASIS ARDUINO
Athletes require agility as a fundamental skill. A shuttle run is one method for assessing an athlete’s agility. The aim ofthis research is to design and develop a shuttle run instrument with recorded data based on Arduino. This shuttle runinstrument is used to assess a person’s speed and endurance, with the results being saved in a database and then sentto a website. Engineering research method is adopted in this research. In this instrument, an Arduino is programmedas a timer to calculate an athlete’s running time, which is controlled by sensors. The photodiode sensor detects athletespassing through the shuttle, and the ESP8266 module connects Arduino to the database. The data collected by theArduino is saved in a database and is accessible via the internet. The accuracy and precision of the timer of shuttlerun instrument is investigated. Ten students took part in the test to evaluate shuttle run instrument’s performance.Measured result shows the accuracy and precision of the instruments is obtained 80.8% and 99.5%, respectively.Based on measured result, the shuttle run instrument is accurate and precision for operating in agility assessment. Kelincahan adalah kemampuan dari seseorang untuk merubah posisi dan arah secepat mungkin sesuai dengan situasi yang dihadapi. Salah satu bentuk latihan untuk kelincahan tubuh yaitu Shuttle Run. Shuttle Run merupakan suatu latihan dengan mengubah gerakan tubuh dari arah lurus yang dilakukan secepat mungkin dengan teknik lari secara bolak- balik. Dengan pemanfaatan arduino sebagai pengontrol sistem Shuttle Run dapat dijadikan sebuah alat yang bisa mencatat waktu untuk pelari melakukan latihan. Dengan menggabungkan beberapa modul yang dapat menunjang sistem pencatat waktu untuk pelari seperti sensor photodioda sebagai sensor saat pelari melewati suatu titik, modul ESP8266 sebagai media Interface antara arduino dan Database, sehingga data yang tercatat pada arduino dapat diakses oleh setiap orang melalui internet. Alat Shuttle Run ini digunakan untuk mengukur kecepatan dan kelincahan seseorang, yang mana hasil pengukuran telah di program agar didapatkan secara otomatis dan data hasil pengukuran akan tersimpan pada Database kemudian dikirim ke Website. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, dimana penelitian ini menjelaskan desain spesifikasi dan perfomansi dari alat Shuttle Run. Spesifikasi desain menjelaskan akurasi dan ketelitian alat Shuttle Run, sedangkan spesifikasi perfomansi menjelaskan tentang kinerja dari alat Shuttle Run. Teknik pengukuran dilakukan secara langsung dan tidak langsung. Data yang di peroleh dari pengukuran tidak langsung adalah ketepatan dan ketelitian dari sensor, sedangkan data langsung diperoleh dari hasil ukur menggunakan Stopwatch. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan hasil ketepatan dan ketelitian alat yang sangat baik. Hasil ketepatan dari alat yaitu 0,808 (80,8%),dengan presentasi kesalahannya yaitu 4,74%. Ketelitian dari alat juga sangat baik yaitu 0.995 (99,5%), dengan standar deviasi sebesar 0,33
