    Representasi Matematis pada Pemecahan Word Problem Perbandingan Inkonsisten

    Word problems solving involves the ability of translating and integrating word problem text. Many students get the difficulty in solving word problem due to their inability to translate and integrate word problem text into an exact representation. Representation is divided into two types namely, pictorial representation and schematic representation. This study aims at describing representation process employed by the 10th grade of High School students on word problem solving of inconsistent comparison. This research was done to 5 students and in this article have 3 subjects. The results of this study infine other representation. There are three mathematical representation of students in solving word problems comparison inconsistent: (1) pictorial representations, (2) schematic representation, and (3) pictorial-schematic representation

    Analisis Soal dalam Buku Siswa Matematika Kurikulum 2013 Kelas VIII Semester I Berdasarkan Dimensi Kognitif dari TIMSS

    This study aimed to analyze the student math book of curriculum 2013 for first semester grades VIII Kemendikbud based on the cognitive dimension of the TIMSS. This report result based on the TIMSS that mathematical ability learners Indonesia is low, so that the government must assess the previous curriculum and impelementation curriculum of 2013. The method use a descriptive qualitative research. The subject is a matter of training and competence test questions each chapter in the book student math. The collection of data uses documentation. Guidelines for the analysis of matter based on the cognitive dimension of assessment framework of the TIMSS 2015. The results showes that 36 matter only reached the level of cognitive domain knowing with the percentage of 16.98%, 114 matter has reach the level of applying with the percentage of 53.77%, and 62 matter has reach the level of reasoning with the percentage of 29.25%

    This research describes reasoning behind gender difference on problem solving. Subject of this reseach are two grade VIII students (male and female). Data in this research was analyzed using time triangulation. The reasoning based on student’s logic. Result of this study indicates that profile of reasoning junior high school students in solving math problems. For male, (1) understanding problems given, (2) linking the problems with the understanding of previously owned, (3) linking understanding possessed by the problems, and (4) conducting re-examination of the results obtained, but for female, (1) understanding the given problem, (2) planning problem solving by linking the formula that has been owned by the problems encountered, (3) implementing a plan of problem solving and reveal the reasons to use the formula, and (4) checking the solution obtained by checking the answer back

    This study aimed to describe the pictorial and schematic representations of student understanding. The subjects were 31 students of grade VIII. The results of this study is two pictorial representations (right and wrong) and two schematic representation (right and wrong). Representation understanding of student described as follows: translational stage, students read the word problem to identify relational statements and quantity, then he transforms the mathematical idea into another form that is more easily understood. Integration stage, students identifying relational relationships between mathematical ideas to be organized into a scheme or image. Solution stage, students devise a solution based on the scheme or image that was created, and then perform calculations and check the answer

    Pengembangan Aplikasi Pembentukan Kelompok Cooperative Learning Menggunakan Visual Basic

    This study aim to develop an application using visual basic programming to facilitate the formation of cooperative groups and to investigate the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the development of this application. This research method including R&D performed with 6 stage, consists of: the potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, improved of design, and test products. The results showed that the yield of the IT media expert validation amounted to 82.5% and validation of learning experts is 92.86%. In addition, the results of the questionnaire responses test of subjects each amounted 83.33% for the first test subjects and 91.67% for the second test subjects. Seeing these findings, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning group formation using visual basic can be said to be very feasible to be used as a tool for the establishment of cooperative learning groups

    Kemampuan Regulasi Diri Siswa dan Dampaknya Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Matematika

    Self-regulation integrate many things of learning theories and can guide the students to strive to achieve learning goals by controlling the thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. This study aims to determine the theoretical models, testing them with empirical data, and finding influence between the ability of self-regulation to mathematics achievement. The ability of self-regulation measures consists of metacognition, motivation, and behavior. The field research with verification approach was conducted in MTsN Tanjunganom Nganjuk. The total sample is 112 students. The instrument is form of questionnaires. Mathematics achievement is taken from value data of middle semester of 2015/2016 academic year. The data were analyzed by LISREL software version 9.2 through statistical methods of Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The results shows that the theoretical model developed the show compliance with the criteria suitability test conducted. The test matches in accordance with the criteria of Goodness of Fit is a p-value and RMSEA

    Uji Validasi E-Module Matakuliah Kalkulus I untuk Mengoptimalkan Student Centered Learning dan Individual Learning Mahasiswa S-1

    This research describes the validation calculus 1 e-module so as to optimize student centered learning and individual student learning S-1. This research uses descriptive research with 3 practitioner’s subject, and 20 students of S-1. Data collection technique used questionnaire rating scale e-module. This type of data is quantitative and qualitative data. The data analysis technique is descriptive analysis and reflective analysis. Expert assessment of design and media, e-module is expressed very valid with the validity of 90.07%. Expert assessment of content, e-modules otherwise very valid by the validity of 91.23%. E-module declared valid by an average of validity 88.55%. The trial results are limited small group of 20 students, e-module declared valid by the validity of 85.11%. In general, calculus 1 e-module course declared valid by an average of 89.01%, so it can be concluded decent e-module is used to optimize student centered learning and individual student learning S-1

The purpose of this research is to obtain the Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) of prospective teachers of mathematics in terms of academic ability. Data were analyzed in the form of documents and interview with the subjects were prospective teachers of mathematics in IAIN Tulungagung and STKIP PGRI Tulungagung. The results showed that a group of students with excellent academic ability and a group of students with good academic ability, content knowledge, knowledge of teaching, and knowledge of students are relatively same. Most of the content knowledge at level 1, knowledge of teaching at level 2, and knowledge of students at level 1. While the group of students with academic ability can reasonably be concluded that content knowledge at level 0, knowledge of teaching at level 1, and knowledge of students at level 1

    The purpose of this study to improve students mathematical reasoning with the application of teaching mathematics through problem solving. This models consist of four fase, that is: giving problems, investigation, presentation results, and evaluation results. Method of research is quasi experimental is implemented in class X-A SMA Al Muslimun Pelalawan Riau. Subject of this study were 19 students who divided into groups of 4-5 students with the capability of high, medium, and low. The instrument used was a test and observation. In the pretest result there were 10 students with sufficient reasoning and good criteria. While on the posttest there were 19 students with the criterion of mathematical reasoning is good. No students obtains criterion of mathematical reasoning is very good in two test

    Analisis Kemampuan Reversibilitas Siswa MTs Kelas VII dalam Menyusun Persamaan Linier

    This study aims to determine the reversibility ability of the seventh-grade students in making the linear equations. This ability is known after all students complete ten questions given and some students selected to be interviewed. Instrument test findings, in the form of 10 questions reversibility capability that has valid and reliable. The subjects were 29 students of class VIII 1 in MTS Negeri Pagedangan in the academic year 2015/2016. Interviews conducted to see student's ability to create a linear equation.As a result, most of the students have had the reversibility ability and the biggest difficulties of students in making similarity equation when its variable in the middle of the equation.
