    Innovative Design of Learning Evaluation Textbooks Based on The Independent Curriculum: An Effort to Optimize The Learning Process

    This research aims to develop a learning evaluation textbook based on the Merdeka Curriculum as an effort to support the implementation of the curriculum in the educational environment. The Merdeka Curriculum prioritizes learning that is more flexible, student-centered, and emphasizes competency and character development. Therefore, learning evaluation is not only focused on cognitive aspects, but also on the development of attitudes and skills. The research and development used a model adapted from Borg and Gall. Of the ten development steps, researchers only applied seven development steps. The results of this development show 1) the module specifications consist of a cover, a foreword, table of contents, material, implementation of independent curriculum evaluation, and author's biodata. The results of the material expert research were 82.4% with good qualifications, 84% learning design experts with good qualifications, 84% practitioners with good qualifications. 2) The results of the attractiveness of the textbook, the researcher conducted a post test in class to 30 students with the achievement of a percentage of 85.3% with good qualifications. Data analysis used Paired Samples T Test with SPSS 25 tools and Sig results 0.000 <0.02 then Ho is rejected, meaning that there are differences in learning outcomes from students who have used evaluation textbooks. The results showed that the developed learning evaluation textbook was able to assist students in designing and implementing evaluations in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum

    Learning Styles and Outcomes of Students with Intellectual Disabilities Using E-LAPD on Mole Concept: A Mixed Methods Study

    The characteristics of students with intellectual disabilities who have difficulty processing information require innovation and the use of learning media that are specifically designed for students with intellectual disabilities. However, innovation and the use of learning media, especially E-LAPD , are still very limited. This study analyzes the learning styles and outcomes of students with intellectual disabilities in understanding the mole concept material through the use of E-LAPD for individual learning. The study uses mixed method design with a type of concurrent embedded design, which both quantitative and qualitative data are collected simultaneously. Three students with intellectual disabilities in SMAN 10 Surabaya as research subjects. Data collection through interviews and pretest-posttest questions. The results of the interview were analyzed using NVivo 11 software in the form of matrix query coding. Quantitative data analysis uses descriptive statistics by comparing the pretest and posttest scores of each student. The research results indicated that the learning styles frequency of students with intellectual disabilities is a visual learning style. Pretest and posttest results significantly increase, indicating increased learning outcomes. The use of E-LAPD can simplify chemical concepts into visual information, so as to improve the learning outcomes of students with intellectual disabilities

    Enhancing Junior High School Teaching Performance Through AI-Supported Deep Learning Approaches

    supported deep learning approaches in improving the teaching performance of junior high school teachers. With the increasing demand for 21st-century teaching competencies, there is a need for innovative instructional strategies that enhance teacher effectiveness and engagement. A quantitative quasi-experimental method was employed, involving pre-tests and post-tests administered to both control and experimental groups. The study involved 64 junior high school teachers across science and social studies subjects. Teaching performance was assessed using structured observation and evaluation tools covering lesson planning, implementation, and assessment practices. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests and normalized gain (n-gain) scores. The findings demonstrated that the teachers in the experimental group—who utilized AI-supported deep learning approaches—showed significantly greater improvement in teaching performance compared to the control group. The intervention was classified as “effective” in fostering meaningful, interactive, and future-ready instructional practices. The study concludes that integrating AI-supported deep learning strategies can substantially enhance teaching quality. It is recommended that educational institutions incorporate these approaches into ongoing professional development initiatives to better prepare teachers for modern educational demands. The findings demonstrated that the teachers in the experimental group showed significantly greater improvement in teaching performance

A recent study developed a predictive model using the CatBoost algorithm to understand better the factors influencing digital Education and Entrepreneurial. This advanced machine learning method was applied to data collected from thousands of college students, encompassing various demographic, psychological, and business-related variables. The results demonstrated the model’s high accuracy in predicting intentions toward digital Education and Entrepreneurial, offering a reliable framework for analysis and application. The study identified three key factors influencing students’ intentions to pursue digital Education and Entrepreneurial. These are digital skills, which reflect their ability to navigate and utilize digital tools effectively; self-efficacy, their confidence in their entrepreneurial capabilities; and Education and Entrepreneurial education, which equips them with the knowledge and skills needed to innovate and create businesses. These findings provide valuable insights for educational institutions and policymakers. By emphasizing digital skills training, fostering self-efficacy, and enhancing Education and Entrepreneurial education programs, they can better prepare students to succeed in the digital economy. Such targeted initiatives empower individuals and contribute to the sustainable growth of digital Education and Entrepreneurial, reinforcing its role as a driver of innovation and economic progress

    Global Research on Augmented Reality in Education: Bibliometrics Analysis

    This research aims to analyze bibliometrics related to Augmented Reality (AR) in the field of education which focuses on the number of citations, classification based on aspects (field, journal, researcher), the relationship between augmented reality topics and other topics, and the relationship between authors who research on the topic augmented reality. The method used in this research uses the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method. The research results show that the number of citations on the topic of Augmented Reality is 48,823. Quality Education is ranked first based on the field of (SDGs) with a total of 2461 articles and the journal AIP Conference Proceedings is the journal that publishes the most articles on the topic of augmented reality. The results of visualization analysis using Vosviewer, produce the latest research topic trends such as augmented reality being linked to medical education, and some topics have not been widely researched such as augmented reality being linked to preschool children

    Caplaire Learning Model: An Effective Strategy to Improve Science Literacy Skills

    The issue of science literacy has gained significant importance in recent years, particularly as the world faces complex, technology-driven challenges that demand scientifically literate citizens. Science literacy, which encompasses the knowledge and skills needed to understand and engage with scientific concepts, is a critical element of modern education. However, despite its importance, many educational systems, particularly in developing countries, struggle to effectively enhance students' science literacy. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Caplaire Learning Model in improving science literacy among students in the elementary school teacher education program at Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED). The study uses a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative (pre-test and post-test) and qualitative (interviews and surveys) data collection techniques to assess the impact of the model. Findings indicate a significant improvement in students' scientific literacy following the implementation of the Caplaire model, with higher post-test scores and positive feedback from students and lecturers. The Caplaire model, which integrates inquiry-based learning and reflection, effectively engaged students and fostered a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. These results suggest that the Caplaire model can be a valuable tool for improving science literacy in teacher education programs, with potential implications for broader adoption in educational curricula

    Development of the Desa Jago Literasi Digital Toolkit for Frontier, Remote, and Disadvantaged areas

    In today's digital era, technology plays a crucial role in bridging the gap in access to information and education, especially in Indonesia's 3T regions frontier, remote, and disadvantaged areas. However, limited infrastructure and inadequate access to appropriate tools remain persistent challenges. This study aims to develop the DJ LITA device as a practical solution for these communities and to ensure that the device meets the standards of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research applies a modified version of the Borg & Gall model combined with the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), resulting in twelve development stages: research and data collection, concept development, design, material gathering, production, initial testing, product revision, field testing, operational revision, operational testing, final revision, and dissemination. A descriptive approach was used to analyze the development process, validator feedback, and trial outcomes. Due to the small and non-random sample, non-parametric statistical methods were applied to suit the data characteristics and research goals. Results from black box testing confirmed the device's technical validity, with no system errors detected. Practicality was supported by expert validation (87.5% very practical), and trials involving 25 participants in a small group and 30 in a large group, with an overall practicality score of 96.22%. The effectiveness of the DJ LITA  application was shown through a 63.38% average improvement in post-test scores compared to pre-tests, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness. This research provides a relevant and adaptive technological approach to improving information and education access in underserved regions

    Development of a STEM Based E-Module on Motorcycle Electrical Systems to Enhance Creative Thinking Skills in Vocational High School Students

    Facts in the field show the low creative thinking skills of students. Students' difficulties in understanding the material lead to low creative thinking skills. The background of this research in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, students are expected to have creative and solution-oriented thinking skills, so they are able to solve various everyday problems intelligently and productively. The purpose of this research is to develop an electronic module based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to improve students' creative thinking skills in motorcycle electrical systems in State Vocational High Schools. The research method used is development research with the ADDIE model. The research subjects were grade XI students in State Vocational High Schools. Data analysis techniques in this study used qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of the creative thinking skills improvement test showed an N-Gain score of 0.45, which is included in the moderate category. Media expert validation results 86.25%, material expert validation 87.50%. The conclusion of this study is that the STEM-based motorcycle electric E-module is feasible to use and can improve creative thinking skills in State Vocational High Schools. This research provides implications that the development of an electronic module based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in motorcycle electrical systems can be a reference for teachers in improving creative thinking skills in terms of content, strategies, methods, and teaching approaches

    Digital transformation is pushing schools to adopt efficient academic information systems, but many schools in 3T areas including SMK Muhammadiyah Aimas still manage grades manually, making them prone to input errors, data duplication, and slow academic recap and reporting processes. This situation shows how important it is to find a systematic way to make value management more accurate, efficient, and open. This research aims to develop and evaluate a web-based system for managing value, designed to meet the needs of vocational schools in a limited context. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the developed system integrates master data management, daily values, midterm exams, final exams, attendance, and automatic final grade calculation. The test results show that all features function according to specifications, while expert validation places the software aspect in the "very good" category. Usability testing by teachers yielded a score of 93%, indicating a high level of ease of use, satisfaction, and utility. The novel contribution of this research is the creation of a web-based value system that amalgamates value and attendance automation within the framework of 3T schools, a subject that remains infrequently examined. The study's limitations include the absence of API integration and its focus on a single school for evaluation. Nevertheless, this system has important implications for improving teachers' work efficiency and accelerating school digitalization in 3T

    Development of Moodle-Based E-Learning Media in Workshop and Entrepreneurship Learning

    The rapid transition to online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic presented challenges in ensuring effective student engagement and comprehension, particularly in subjects like Practical Work and Entrepreneurship. The problem identified is the lack of suitable digital tools to support interactive learning in these subjects, which often rely on hands-on experience and active participation. To solve this problem, this study developed and implemented Moodle-based e-learning media to enhance student understanding and engagement in Practical Work and Entrepreneurship education. The research objective was to assess the effectiveness of this e-learning media in improving students' learning outcomes compared to traditional learning methods. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, involving two groups of students: an experimental group that used Moodle-based e-learning media and a control group that did not receive any additional digital learning support. Data were collected over a period of six months, using pretests and posttests, with statistical analysis conducted via Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. The results of the study showed significant improvements in the experimental group, with both statistical tests yielding significance values (sig) less than 0.05. These findings highlight the positive impact of Moodle-based e-learning media on students' comprehension of Practical Work and Entrepreneurship. In conclusion, the development and implementation of Moodle-based e-learning media proved to be an effective solution for enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes, particularly in the context of distance learning during the pandemic. This approach offers a scalable and flexible solution for improving education in similar contexts
