    Keys to Happiness : Exploring the Determinants of Job Satisfaction in Private Schools of Afghanistan

    The main objective of this research is to analyze the determinants of job satisfaction among teachers in private schools in Afghanistan. This study utilizes the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) as its foundational framework. The investigated factors include achievement, recognition, advancement, compensation, working conditions, job security, and coworker relationships. Furthermore, job satisfaction is considered a laten variable. Data were gathered through a thoroughly structured and randomly distributed questionnaire, which included demographic information (age, gender, education, and work experience) as well as inquiries related to the research variables. The sample consisted of 206 respondents drawn from the target population. The collected data are tested for reliability and consistency before further analysis. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was employed to assess the data and derive conclusions. The findings reveal that all the examined factors significantly contribute to job satisfactio

    Accompany Learners of Computer Science while Agile Sprinting : Combination of Flipped Classroom/ICM and Scrum

    In a compulsory module Algorithms and Data Structures, the inverted classroom model is combined with the Scrum methodology. Students work on the content of the module in the learning management system by using video recordings, digital scripts and interactive exercises. The elimination of the traditional lecture allows more interactive learning time for answering questions, discussions, and reflection on what has been learned through lecture hall quizzes. The topics of the course are given, but students work on them individually and organize their own learning processes. The theory and practice of the course are worked on in teams in learning sprints lasting three or four weeks, analogous to the Scrum methodology. The tasks are embedded in the context of a virtual operating system environment and build on each other. The software project is available as a GitLab repository for this purpose. The use of Git and integrated test routines correspond to a realistic approach that is common practice in professional software development

    Synchronizing TSN Devices via 802.1AS over 5G Networks

    The 3GPP release 16 integrates TSN functionality into 5G and standardizes various options for TSN time synchronization over 5G such as transparent mode and bridge mode. The time domains for the TSN network and the 5G network are kept separate with an option to synchronize either of the networks to the other. The TSN time synchronization over 5G is possible either by using the IEEE 1588 generalized Precision Time Protocol (gPTP) based on UDP/IP multicast or via IEEE 802.1AS based on Ethernet PDUs. The INET and Simu5G simulation frameworks, which are both based on the OMNeT++ discrete event simulator, are widely used for simulating TSN and 5G networks. The INET framework comprises the 802.1AS based time synchronization mechanism, and Simu5G provides the 5G user plane carrying IP PDUs. We modified the 802.1AS-based synchronization model of INET so that it works over UDP/IP. With that, it is possible to synchronize TSN slaves (connected to 5G UEs), across a 5G network, with a TSN master clock, present within a TSN network, that is connected to the 5G core network. Our simulation results show that 500 microseconds of synchronization accuracy can be achieved with the corrected asymmetric propagation delay of uplink and downlink between the gNodeB (gNB) and the User Equipment (UE). Furthermore, the synchronization accuracy can be improved if the delay difference between uplink and downlink is known

    Consensus on the definition and assessment of external validity of randomized controlled trials: A Delphi study

    External validity is an important parameter that needs to be considered for decision making in health research, but no widely accepted measurement tool for the assessment of external validity of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) exists. One of the most limiting factors for creating such a tool is probably the substantial heterogeneity and lack of consensus in this field. The objective of this study was to reach consensus on a definition of external validity and on criteria to assess the external validity of RCTs included in systematic reviews. A three-round online Delphi study was conducted. The development of the Delphi survey was based on findings from a previous systematic review. Potential panelists were identified through a comprehensive web search. Consensus was reached when at least 67% of the panelists agreed to a proposal. Eighty-four panelists from different countries and various disciplines participated in at least one round of this study. Consensus was reached on the definition of external validity (“External validity is the extent to which results of trials provide an acceptable basis for generalization to other circumstances such as variations in populations, settings, interventions, outcomes, or other relevant contextual factors”), and on 14 criteria to assess the external validity of RCTs in systematic reviews. The results of this Delphi study provide a consensus-based reference standard for future tool development. Future research should focus on adapting, pilot testing, and validating these criteria to develop measurement tools for the assessment of external validity
