A GREENBEE PROJEKT REFERENCIA TERÜLETEIRŐL SZÁRMAZÓ POLLENEK VIZSGÁLATI EREDMÉNYEI

    No full text
A virágporcsomók begyűjtése a 2022-es és a 2023-as évben is áprilistól augusztusig tartott havi rendszerességgel.

Rural Land Rights, Markets, and Structural Transformation: A Review of a Ugandan Case

    No full text
Uganda is gradually transitioning from communal to private land tenure systems. However, establishing privatized land rights has faced ongoing criticism, particularly concerning their impact on vulnerable groups. Despite the enactment of a national land policy, its benefits have not fully reached rural populations. Issues of land tenure insecurity and unclear ownership continue to generate confusion and have reportedly weakened traditional communal land systems, undermining sustainable agricultural production and long-term investment. This paper examines rural land rights, land markets, and the broader structural transformation of Uganda’s land sector, drawing on the existing literature and published reports. This review reveals that land tenure and administrative challenges persist, largely due to the dominance of customary tenure systems. Although land markets are active, they remain imperfect due to tenure insecurity and legal ambiguities. The findings highlight the need for increased public sensitization regarding land policy, gender-sensitive policies that promote joint ownership, continuous incentives for formalization, the acquisition of land documents, and the harmonization and strengthening of relevant land governance institutions

Green Infrastructure for Climate Change Mitigation: Assessment of Carbon Sequestration and Storage in the Urban Forests of Budapest, Hungary

    No full text
The effects of climate change are particularly pronounced in cities, where urban green infrastructure—such as trees, parks, and green spaces—plays a vital role in both climate adaptation and mitigation. This study assesses the carbon sequestration potential of urban forests in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, which lies at the intersection of the Great Hungarian Plain and the Buda Hills, and is traversed by the Danube River. The city is characterized by a temperate climate with hot summers and cold winters, and a diverse range of soil types, including shallow Leptosols and Cambisols in the limestone and dolomite hills of Buda, well-developed Luvisols and Regosols in the valleys, Fluvisols and Arenosols in the flood-affected areas of Pest, and Technosols found on both sides of the city. The assessment utilizes data from the National Forestry Database and the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service High Resolution Layer Tree Cover Density. The results show that Budapest’s urban forests and trees contribute an estimated annual carbon offset of −41,338 tCO2, approximately 1% of the city’s total emissions. The urban forests on the Buda and Pest sides of the city exhibit notable differences in carbon sequestration and storage, age class structure, tree species composition, and naturalness. On the Buda side, older semi-natural forests dominated by native species primarily act as in situ carbon reservoirs, with limited additional sequestration capacity due to their older age, slower growth, and longer rotation periods. In contrast, the Pest-side forests, which are primarily extensively managed introduced forests and tree plantations, contain a higher proportion of non-native species such as black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) and hybrid poplars (Populus × euramericana). Despite harsher climatic conditions, Pest-side forests perform better in carbon sink capacity compared to those on the Buda side, as they are younger, with lower carbon stocks but higher sequestration rates. Our findings provide valuable insights for the development of climate-resilient urban forestry and planning strategies, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the long-term carbon sequestration potential of urban forests

A körforgásos gazdaság vállalati alkalmazása – a Cradle to Cradle Certified szabvány használatának tapasztalatai

    No full text
A körforgásos gazdaság koncepcióját egyre több vállalkozás tette prioritásává az elmúlt években, melynek keretében törekednek a hulladék csökkentésére, a jobb erőforrás-hatékonyságra, a zárt anyagciklusok kialakítására, és olyan termékeket terveznek és gyártanak, melyek nem tartalmaznak a természetet vagy az emberi egészséget károsító anyagokat. A Cradle to Cradle Certified termékszabvány a bölcsőtől-bölcsőig (cradle to cradle) dizájnkoncepció elvén alapul, mely a hulladékra tápanyagként tekint, és a természeti anyagfolyamatokat kívánja a termékek életciklusában is megvalósítani.

Evaluation of timber mechanical properties through non-destructive testing: A bibliometric analysis

    No full text
This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research trends in evaluating the mechanical properties of timber structures, with a particular emphasis on the modulus of elasticity (MOE) assessed through non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, especially ultrasonic waves. Using VOSviewer software to analyze 129 Scopus-indexed publications, the analysis reveals a marked increase in research activity since the early 2000s and the formation of distinct thematic clusters. The keyword ’non-destructive examination’ consistently emerges as the dominant term, underscoring a sustained and focused scientific interest in this field. Despite this growth, significant gaps remain, notably the lack of standardized methodologies and limited application of ultrasonic NDT techniques for in-service timber structures. This underscores the urgent need for targeted research efforts, including integrating machine learning with ultrasonic analysis, developing standardized testing protocols, exploring hybrid diagnostic approaches, and extending ultrasonic methods to aged and recycled timber. Furthermore, advancing portable, in-situ ultrasonic systems is essential to enable real-time, field-based assessments. This study not only maps the current research landscape but also highlights strategic opportunities to improve the accuracy, reliability, and sustainability of timber mechanical property evaluations, thereby supporting the advancement of timber engineering
