PENGEMBANGAN KARAKTER ANAK USIA DINI MELALUI SIMULASI KECAKAPAN HIDUP
The purposes of this research were do describe the process of character building through life skill simulation and to develop the children’s character through life skill simulation. This action research was conducted in three early childhood education institutions for six months started from March through July 2013. The researcher did the research in collaboration with the local teachers to assess, plan, implement, observe, and do reflection. T test indicated a significant difference between the character development degree before and after the simulation. The hindrances in developing the character through life skill simulation are the children’s shy feeling and low self-confidence as well as the teachers’ limitation in designing the simple, interesting, and easy simulation scenario
PENGARUH METODE EKSPERIMEN TERHADAP KONSENTRASI ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SAINS
The research objective is to provide accurate information and picture about the influence of the experimental method to the concentration of children with disabilities in beginning science activities. The research was carried out in the Training Park and Observation of Foreign School in Semarang, with a total sample 14 early age children with special needs. This study used an experimental design providing a group with treatment to see the influence. T-test was used to prove the hypothesis that the experimental method can have a significant influence on the concentration of children with disabilities to learn beginning science. Experimental method as a learning method in preschool classes in the institution of early childhood development, can influence the children’s ability/concentration in learning. This method gives children the opportunity to know and interact with the environment and enable them to focus and concentrate on learning activities in the classroom
BERMAIN SEBAGAI KEBUTUHAN DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN DIRI ANAK
Playing games is a part of the children’s life. In playing games the children are exploring and understanding their world. This article discusses how playing games can be used in children’s education. The children can play anywhere and anytime they want. The context, place, and time will determine the forms, activities, and game content. In playing games, the children plan, concentrate on doing certain tasks, solve problems, and express their ideas. This article concludes that playing games can be designed and used as a strategy of the children self development. Learning activities to be done by the children are integrated in playing activities. These activities facilitate the children to gain new knowledge and experience
PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM PROGRAM PAKET B
The Community Learning Center (CLC) as an educational institution to implement Package A Program is assigned to produce the graduates having equivalent competence as Junior High School does. Besides, the learners are also expected to be able to meet their needs and solve their problems. CLC has to develop the existing curriculum to complete its tasks as expected. This research is intended to know the curriculum at CLC of Tunas Bangsa, Probolinggo District, East Java, and how it develops and implements the curriculum. The research conducted as from April through July 2010, reviewed the existing curriculum using qualitative method and then developed the curriculum on the basis of local needs and potentials. The result of the study is an integrated curriculum to be used by tutors and will encourage them to improve theircompetence
KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATEMATIKA
This study aims to describe the ability of Kumon’s students, 7-8 years old, in solving mathematics word problems. This study done in December 2012 used cumulative approach with survey method. The respondents were the students of Kuman Course in North Jakarta. The data collected by distributing the questions to the respondents were analyzed applying simple statistic technique. Findings show that 86%of the respondents belong to high category while 14% belong to medium category. and no students belongs to low category. The implication of this study is Kumon students have the ability to solve mathematics word problem, but they still have to do more exercises in solving mathematics word problems continually. Besides, the Kumon Course should use media in the teaching of mathematics word problems
PENGGUNAAN MEDIA BAHAN ALAM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS ANAK
The purpose of this research is to improve the creativity of children aged 5-6 years through natural materials in PAUD Bestari, Gunungsindur, Bogor. The research conducted in November 2012 applied action research approach two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The research subject were eleven kindergarten children having creativity problems. The final result of the overall data analysis indicates the hypothesis is accepted meaning that using natural materials can improve the creativity of children aged 5-6 years old
MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS MELALUI PENDEKATAN INKUIRI
The purpose of this research is to improve the science process skills of the children aged 5-6 years through inquiry approach at TK Kasih Ibu, South Jakarta. The research conducted in November and December 2012 employed classroom action research within two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this research were 12 kindergarten children. The data were collected using test and non test. After the second cycle, the research concluded that the inquiry approach can improve the science basic skills of children aged 5-6 years old. The implication of this research is inquiry approach can be alternative way to improve science process skills of children aged 5-6 years old. The improvement of the science basic science can be demonstrated through observing, comparing, classifying, measuring and communication
PENGARUH POLA ASUH ORANG TUA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN SOSIAL ANAK USIA 6-7 TAHUN
This research aims to know the pattern of parenting to social child ability of age 6-7 year at SDN Menteng 02 Pagi Jakarta Pusat. Research method used by Ex Post Facto. Technique of Intake sample is cluster random sampling with the amount sample is 46 child, then conducted spreading quesioner to determine the pattern group of the autoritary and democratic parent. Technique analyze the data used to test the hypothesis is uji-t after beforehand conducted by a prerequisite test that is test the normalitas. Result of examination of normalitas data use the test Liliefors of group A that is Lacount 0,113 < Ltabel 0,173 and group B by Lacount 0,065 < Ltabel 0,173 meaning data have normal distribution. Hypothesis examination use the uji-t of level signifikansi α = 0,05 obtained tacount =94,8 bigger than ttabel = 1,68, this means hypothesis of zero (Ho) refused, so that mean hypothesis alternative (ha) it’s accepted that pattern of parenting have an effect on to social child ability. Matter of this means social ability of child is higher with the democratic parent than the autoritary parent. Result of research show there are influence which are positive significant between pattern of parenting to social child ability, where social ability of child is higher with the democratic parent than the autoritary parent. Implication from this research that pattern of the democratic parent can develop the social ability of high child as tool interaction with the area. Parent can give correct of take care so that the social ability of child is advance

The purpose of this research was to discover how the equivalency educational program of B package to support the the nine years compulsory educational program in Gorontalo District. MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYIMAK MELALUI KEGIATAN BERCERITA DENGAN MEDIA GAMBAR SERI
This study aims to improve listening skills through storytelling with seriial picture mediua fo thechildren aged 4-5 years in Harapan Jaya kindergarten, North Jakarta. The study conducted in November and December 2012 apllied action research approach in two cycles, Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflecting with ten children having listening problems as the subjects. The data collection techniques used were test and non test and analysis techniques used use the percentage increase. At the end of the second cycle it was discovered that the use of storytelling with serial picture media can improve listening skills of the children aged 4-5 years. The implications of this research is using serial pictures can be used as an alternative learning activities to improve the listening skills. The implementation of storytelling with serial pictures can give new and precious experiences to the children and motivate the to actively involve in learning activity
