    Kesantunan merupakan aturan perilaku yang ditetapkan dan disepakati bersama oleh suatu masyarakat tertentu sehingga kesantunan sekaligus menjadi prasyarat yang disepakati oleh perilaku sosial. Kesantunan berbahasa tecermin dalam tatacaraberkomunikasi lewat tanda verbal atau tatacara berbahasa. Ketika berkomunikasi, kita tunduk pada norma-norma budaya, tidak hanya sekedar menyampaikan ide yang kita pikirkan. Tatacara berbahasa harus sesuai dengan unsur-unsur budaya yang ada dalam masyarakat tempat hidup dan dipergunakannnya suatu bahasa dalam berkomunikasi.Tujuan utama kesantunan berbahasa adalah memperlancar komunikasi. Oleh karena itu, pemakaian bahasa yang sengaja dibelit-belitkan, yang tidak tepat sasaran, atau yang tidak menyatakan yang sebenarnya karena enggan kepada orang yang lebih tua juga merupakan ketidaksantunan berbahasa.     Local wisdom is the precious heritage in building a dignified society. Therefore, it should be explored and promoted in human life. This agenda must necessarily be carried out by an institution that has sufficient capability and capacity. Faculty as the heart of the nation with its human resources should have been involved in the processing of thinking out the wisdom. The involvement would be done gradually and continuously from planning to transfer to the users (community) with the appropriate and accurate approaches. Revitalization and re-actualization, the transformation of culture, cultural development priorities, and the development of wisdom values-based character building through development, to be a step of local wisdom re-actualization should be part of the theology faculty activity

    Eschatological Expression In The Holy Text (A Preliminary Hermeneutical Exploration On Selected Eschatological Narratives In The Qur’an And The Bible)

    One of the key concepts that lie in almost every religion, as asserted in each holy text, is eschatological doctrine. The apocalyptic belief in the last day has existed throughout the history of civilizations with various expressions. Eschatological narrative in the holy texts ought to be deemed as a historical text that is revealed within its space and time. Accordingly, it is a historizing thing, which contains plenty of stories besides its sacred messages. This sense of historical awareness is pointed out for example by the eschatological narratives in the Qur'an which strongly influenced by socio-religious circumstances and topographical conditions in the Arabian Peninsula at the time of revelation, as the Bible that has cased up its eschatological narratives based on a certain historical event: the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD by Roman soldiers. The central purpose of this paper is to explore the connection and influence of certain historical moments on the style and construction of both, the Qur'an and the Bible eschatological narratives, through a simple hermeneutical analysis

    Mental Development Training for Military Soldier At Iskandar Muda Military Command (A Theocentrical Humanism Approach)

    This study aims to reveal the process of soldier's mental development in Iskandar Muda Military Command, both seen from the selection process to be soldier in educational institutions as well as in the unit assignment. This research is expected to find the development pattern in accordance with the challenging tasks for the National Military (TNI) ahead. By using a qualitative approach, this research has achieved several findings: 1) in the selection process, a soldier was just demanded to fundamentally have religious understanding without a standard point for depth understanding of religion, 2) in the first stage of education, the subject matter of religion only a broad outline of religious teachings, 3) religious activities is not part of military trainings curriculum, but it is merely education administrators' policy, 4) the soldiers in unit deemed to have knowledge of the religion and an unwavering faith. Despite the fact that soldiers' religious knowledge is still very low, while the faith is generally used as the symbolic emphasis that is less discussed. As a result, it is feared that mentality weakness when facing a tough task, both faced with the sophistication of tools, strategies and mental demands in modern warfare in the future

This paper will explore one of the Islamic educational institutions in Minangkabau, Madrasah Diniyyah Pasia. In the world of Islamic education in Minangkabau, the name of Madrasah Diniyyah Pasia is that popular, but this Madrasah has survived though it has undergone several changes in its education system. Since July 1, 1992, the Madrasah has adopted a boarding school system.     Differences of Attachment Styles to Fathers Between Early Adolescent Male and Female

    Many opinions state that girls have a tendency to be closer to their fathers than boys. This is because fathers usually reveal a soft attitude and a kind way of talking toward their daughter. In addition, fathers also succumb to the demands of his daughter. Conversely, with his son, fathers are usually much more 'rough and tough. So, girls feel more secure with their fathers than boys. The objective of this study was to determine the differences of attachment style to fathers between early adolescent males and females in seventh-grade classes of Junior High School 19 Banda Aceh. The number of samples taken was 60 students. A rating scale was used for collecting data, namely Adult Attachment Scale (AAS). The result obtained from the T-Tests showed there were no significant differences of attachment style to fathers between early adolescents male and female in seventh-grade classes of Junior High School 19 Banda Aceh. However, early adolescents prefer to have a close attachment style with their father

    Metode Pembelajaran Kitab Kuning Di Dayah Ma‘Had Al-‘Ulūm Dīniyyah Al-Islāmiyyah Mesjid Raya Mudi Mesra Samalanga, Aceh, Indonesia

    This study aimed to explore the learning of the kitab kuning (literally meaning yellow book) (traditional Islamic textbooks) at Dayah (traditional Islamic boarding school) Mudi Mesra Samalanga by using an analytical study in a methodological perspective. The study used the qualitative approach. Data were collected by observation, interview, documentation study, and Forum Group Discussion (FGD). The data analysis involved three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The data validity test used data credibility techniques in the form of extended observations, increased persistence in triangulation research, negative case analysis, and member check. The results of the study showed that in principle, the kitab kuning learning applied the halaqah method, in which the teacher sits opposite the students sitting around the teacher. From this learning system, the teacher has developed various learning methods. The methods that are most identical and authentic in learning kitab kuning at dayah include the Boh Bareh (Giving diacritical marks) method, the Surah Method, the Mubahastah and Mudhakarah method, the Niqasy method, the Muthala’ah method, and the Nazam Bait method. Apart from that, methods that are metaphysical are also taught to students to gain barakah (good) knowledge, by maintaining adab (attitude) towards teachers and maintaining adab towards kitab kuning as a source of learning that is sacred in nature. Further, the supporting factors in learning kitab kuning at dayah include the obligation to have kitab kuning, adequate facilities and infrastructure, dormitory system, as well as teacher loyalty and student discipline. On the other hand, the inhibiting factors consist of closer class positions, different physical endurance of the students, the saturation of the students, and the students’ lack of discipline during holidays
