Efficiency of photosynthetic pigmens in extreme condition
The Doctoral Summer School 2024 was organized by the National Library of Technology in collaboration with the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (UCT Prague), the Czech Association of Doctoral Researchers, and the Committee for Doctoral Studies under the Student Chamber of the Council of the Higher Education Institutions and took place on September 12–13, 2024, at the Dejvice campus. The aim of the event was to enhance the skills of early-career researchers through the following topics: Integrating Conversational AI into Research, Project Management for Early Career Researchers, Communication in Science. The optional Poster Session was a part of the workshop Communication in Science and helped the participants to practice their presentation skills and experiment with creative visual communication.
Academic Writing Q&A Series 1
The presentation contains information and additional links to useful resources about an article story and how to write it. The presentation describes the specifics of a scholarly or scientific article and makes recommendations regarding the use of specific style guides and other tools to start the writing process. The content is useful for Early Career Researchers and for everyone who is interested in scholarly communication
Utilising PIDs in the Finnish National Research Information Hub - Research.fi
The Finnish National Research Information Hub project was launched in 2017. As a result, Research.fi, a service collecting and disseminating information on research conducted in Finland, was opened to the public in 2020. The service has been actively developed over the years to contain information about publications and research data produced in Finland, projects funded by public as well as private research funders, information on researchers operating in Finland and their research activities. Data flows from research actors systems into the Hub and back. In our presentation we will describe how Research.fi utilizes persistent identifiers in creating the National Research Information Hub
Scaling Research with PIDs: Discoverability in Middle Eastern, North African and Asian Studies
This paper presentation focuses on discoverability of MENAA studies and proposes possible solutions centered around the implementation of Persistent Identifiers (PIDs). The study explores how PIDs possible solutions by uniquely identifying research objects, thereby enhancing accessibility, and promoting data sharing. The paper adopts a meta-research approach, leveraging secondary sources to explore the practical implementation of PIDs in the MENAA studies context. Through in-depth analyses of existing literature and specific case studies, this presentation aims to open the discussion about unique and consistent identification and cross-linguistic linking. Ultimately, this presentation hopes to contribute to the establishment of a more discoverable research environment, providing valuable insights and support to scholars engaged in this critical and diverse field
