No full textDuring this session, we will discuss what ORCID has done over the past few years to build momentum for global uptake of ORCID, including how we revitalised several founding partnerships to develop the Global Participation Fund, which awards grants supporting the development of local expertise and communities of practice, and developing new partnership models with organisations that have both local knowledge and resources. We’ll also talk about how we re-tooled our membership tiering with an eye toward equity, as well as how we launched a new regional consortia model to allow smaller countries to benefit from communities of practice in their regions
Leveraging PIDs to Implement Open Science Aware Responsible Research Assessment
No full textThis presentation introduces the Open Science Assessment Framework (OSAF), which is being developed to facilitate the use of research assessment-specific infrastructure informed by sensibilities of both the Open Science (OS) and Responsible Research Assessment (RRA) movements. Central to the OSAF is adapting the RAiD (a new PID for projects) for use in research(er) assessment. The RAiD is presently being implemented as a service on the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) platform via the FAIRCORE4EOSC project. The OSAF is presently being developed in the GraspOS project. Both projects are funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe framework programme

Get PDFThis presentation will discuss the development of the Irish National PID strategy, commissioned by the National Open Research Forum (NORF) in response to the National Action Plan on Open Research, 2022-2030. Recognising the importance of PIDs underpinning many emerging national policy and research infrastructure frameworks as key to supporting the interoperability of Irish research, the PID strategy development process also highlighted PIDs as a desirable support for advancing the core values of equity and fairness, diversity and inclusiveness, advocated for in the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science (2021)
