What Do We Need PID Policies For?
In my presentation I will go through the different roles and policy levels, drawing on my work from the EOSC projects, the Finnish national collaboration as well and the CSC solution with our own PID microservice. Nationally we have produced a guide for research performing organisations on how to assess, choose and implement the right PIDs for each purpose. I will present different approaches to producing a PID policy and some ideas on what should be covered in different cases and contexts

Knihovny a jejich role v EOSC
The presentation highlighted the importance of libraries within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and the scientific ecosystem in general. Libraries/Librarians have been actively involved in supporting Open Science and Open Access for many years. In the context of EOSC, they can play various roles – repository curators, data stewards, service designers, etc. The presentation shows what libraries and their staff are already doing to support EOSC and what they can do further. It also points out how university library programs support the education of specialists in data management, service design, or information literacy.Prezentace zdůraznila význam knihoven v rámci Evropského otevřeného vědeckého cloudu (EOSC) a vědeckém ekosystému celkově.

Research Portal Denmark: A PID Founded National Research Output Infrastructure
Research Portal Denmark is an emerging national research output infrastructure relying heavily on PIDs. The importance of PIDs is especially important as the infrastructure links and connects different content types such as Danish publications, Danish patents and Danish grants from multiple data providers both - commercial, open and national. In the presentation we will share the practical experiences gained working with PIDs – both the joys and pains. We would also like to share/and discuss experiences with trying to bring awareness and understanding of the PID benefits with various Danish stakeholders – research institutions, funders and other actors in the community
