Kayu Limbah Penebangan Intensitas Rendah di Izin Usaha Pemanfaatan Hasil Hutan Kayu-Hutan Alam
Forest harvesting of natural-forest production in Indonesia is carried out with a high felling intensity, thus has changed the forest biomass. Several studies have shown a strong correlation between harvesting intensity and the reduction of wood volume in the forest. This condition may disrupt the stability of forest ecosystem. This study aimed to calculate and classificate logging residue of low-harvest intensity (one tree plots-1) in Indonesian Forest Concession. The study was conducted in private concessions in North Kalimantan and West Papua. Measurements were made in 30 dynamic circular sample plots with a radius of 2 times the height of the felled tree. The average size in North Kalimantan was 2.5 ha plot-1 and in West Papua was 1.5 ha plot-1. The sample plots were randomly placed in the cutting compartment. All logging residues with dbh ≥10 cm were measured after felling. The logging residue is classified into felled and unfelled trees and four types of logging residue (fallen tree, broken stem, stump, branches and twigs). The low felling intensity produced logging residue ranging from 4.98-5.55 m3 ha-1. The result indicated that logging residue came from felled trees (66%) was higher than those from unfelled trees (34%). The most common type of logging residue of felled tree was branches and twigs, broken stem and stump. The logging residue came from unfelled tree dominated by fallen tree followed by broken stem, branches, and twigs.

Pembentukan Gaharu Gyrinops versteegii oleh Bioinduksi Fusarium solani dengan Teknik Simpori
Agarwood is a non-timber forest product having high economic value. However, its population in nature is getting decrease. An effort to reduce the agarwood hunting in the nature is agarwood cultivation. One of agarwood inoculation methods is simpori as a modification of inoculation method using Fusarium solani and porous nails. The present study aimed to determine the effect of F. solani dosage to the quantity and quality of Gyrinops versteegii agarwood using simpori. The simpori technique used completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 10 replications. The treatments were F. solani at a dosage of 3 mL/porous nail (P0), F. solani at a dosage of 9 mL/porous nail (P1), and F. solani at a dosage of 6 mL/porous nail (P2). The result showed that both dimensions of agarwood formation and the agarwood produced at 7 months after the first inoculation in all treatments were not significant. The highest length and the highest depth of agarwood formation were shown by P1 (5.1 cm) and P0 (7 cm) treatments, respectively. The highest agarwood production was observed in P1 and P2 treatments (0.032%). The visual quality of agarwood based on SNI 7631:2011 equal to kemedangan TG.C. The agarwood quality based on sesquiterpenes and chromone derivatives contents was different in all treatments. P2 treatment showed the highest content of sesquiterpenes and chromone derivatives (17.5%). The difference of F. solani dosages produce agarwood with the same quantity but different in quality when harvest 7 month after the first inoculation.

Tingkat Kesejahteraan Keluarga Buruh Tani Wanita pada Bidang Produksi Kopi di CV. Frinsa Agrolestari
Farmworkers in the coffee production section at CV. Frinsa Agrolestari are dominated by women, namely 9 women and 5 men. While the coffee production process is fairly heavy, female farmworkers continue to become workers in this company. The large number of females as farm workers can be caused by the low income in her family. Inadequate income from her husband salary will encourage some of the wifes to get additional income. This research was motivated by this phenomenon. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of welfare of female farmworker families, the contribution of female farmworkers income to the family income, and the motivation of female farmworkers working in the production field at the coffee factory of CV. Frinsa Agrolestari, Margamulya Village, Pangalengan, Bandung Regency. The approach taken in this research was a qualitative approach, using a case study with interviews based on indicators of family welfare levels according to the regulation of BKKBN in the year of 2005. The results of the study showed that the family welfare level of a female working in the field of coffee production at CV. Frinsa Agrolestari was in the Prosperous Family category I indicating that the income can fulfill basic needs such as clothing, shelter, health, and education. Contribution of income of female farmworkers to the family income ranged from 22.2% (the lowest) to 50% (the highest). Motivation of the female farmworkers to work is 89% due to economic reasons and 11% due to social reasons.

Panen Pucuk dan Buah pada Tanaman Leunca (Solanum nigrum L.) yang Dipupuk dengan Dosis Nitrogen Berbeda
The increasing popularity of leaf and fruit of African nightshade as vegetables in Indonesia stimulates farmers to harvest both leaf and fruit from single plant alternately; the yield is presumably affected by fertilizer rate, e.g., nitrogen. The present study aimed to evaluate such hypothesis through evaluation of plant production, N absorption, and its status. Seedlings were treated with five N levels, i.e., 0, 90, 180, 270, and 360 kg/ha in Leuwikopo Experimental Farm, IPB Bogor, Indonesia. The results revealed that leaf and fruit productions were sensitive to nitrogen level. Leaf and fruit productions had quadratic correlation to N levels, i.e., r 2=0.9671 and r 2=0.9483 with optimum dosages as 304.8 kg/ha and 336.5 kg/ha, respectively. Proper N application is important for both leaf and fruit productions because nitrate level in leaf had quadratic relationship (r 2=0.5264) and it has a linear relationship in fruit production (r2=0.9587) by increasing N level from 90 to 360 kg N/ha. From the total fresh mass leaves and fruits harvested, the optimum N for the best alternate harvesting was 271.1 kg/ha (r 2=0.9644).

Penggunaan Input yang Optimal pada Usaha Tani Kedelai (Suatu Kasus di Desa Sukahurip, Kecamatan Pangatikan, Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat)
The majority of soybean supply is fulfilled by importation and the import of soybean tends to increase. The dependency of Indonesia on imported soybean indeed becomes a serious issue in maintaining food security and local production of soybean is low and quite decreasing. The low domestic soybean production might be caused by the inappropriate used of inputs. Many cases found in the field are the inefficient uses of input factors. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing the soybean production and to analyze the optimal level of input use in soybean production. The study was conducted in the Sukahurip Village, Pangatikan Sub-District, Garut District, West Java in July 2018. The research method used was a survey method. The data used consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from samples of soybean farmers and samples of farmers were taken by a simple random sampling. The data were analyzed by Cobb Douglass`s Production function (to analyze factors affecting soybean production) and the NPM that was equal to BKM formula was used to determine the optimal level of inputs use. Factors influencing soybean production are land and seeds. Land use, seeds, and ZA fertilizer have not been used efficiently because of the limited land use and the use of substandard inputs. The addition of inputs to the optimal level is 1.36 hectares of land use and 52.7 kg of seeds that will maximize the profits.

Growth Performance and Profitability of Broilers Chickens with Vermi meal Supplementation under Total Confinement Management
This study was conducted to determine the growth performance and profitability of broilers chicken with vermi meal supplementation under a total confinement management system. A total of 60 broiler chickens were randomly distributed to four dietary treatments: T1= commercial feed (CF), T2= CF+2% vermi meal (VM), T3= CF+3% VM, T4= CF+5% VM inclusion in a completely randomized design. Feed conversion ratio was not significantly influenced by VM supplementation. However, the highest feed intake was recorded in broilers fed CF supplemented with 2% VM (T2) while control broilers fed only CF (T1) had the lowest feed consumption. Broiler chickens fed CF supplemented with 2% VM (T2) were recorded with the highest values of final body weight and weight gain compared to T1 group and T4 group, respectively. However, broiler in T2 group had similar values of body weights and weight gains compared to T3. Consequently, 2% level of VM had an optimum result in final weight, weight gain, and feed consumption, while comparable to the other treatments in water consumption, feed conversion ratio, dressing percentage, and carcass weight. Cost and return analysis of the dietary treatments with VM showed a negative effect, since the higher concentration of VM supplementation had the higher cost in production, due to the expensive price of imported vermin or earthworm meal.

Respons Pemberian dan Penetapan Status Hara Si pada Tanaman Padi
The use of silica fertilizer still has been included in cultivation technology: however, nutrient status for paddy soil is rarely reported in Indonesia. It is necessary to carry out a research on the determination of nutrient status and the influence of silica fertilizer on rice production. The aims of this research are to investigate the effect trass on soil chemical properties, discover of silica fertilizer on rice production and determine the nutrient status of Si by Cate Nelson and Contiunous Curves. The results showed that the effect of trass has a significant on soil chemical properties such as pH H2O and available Si. The nutrient status of Si was estimated by using several different extractants namely H2O; CaCl2; Ammonium Acetate pH 4.8; and Acetate Buffer pH 4 gives a critical limit value of 13, 17, 34, and 37 mg kg-1, equivalent to 28 mg kg-1, 36 mg kg-1, 73 mg kg-1, and 79 mg kg-1 SiO2, respectively. Meanwhile, the Si availability in the medium class based on Continuous Curves Method extracted by H2O; 0.01 M CaCl2; NH4OAc pH 4.8; and Na-acetate pH 4 were 18-34, 33-41, 44-79, and 42-81 mg SiO2 kg-1, espectively. Burned trass with dose of 10 g kg-1 gives the highest rice production of 44.19 g pot-1 equivalent to 7.07 ton ha-1
