    Paving block is a building material composition made of a mixture of Portland cement or other similar hydraulic adhesive material, water, and aggregates or without other additives that do not reduce the quality of the concrete. In the implementation, paving blocks are made of basic materials such as cement, sand, aggregates and water by mixing all the ingredients and printing the mortar of paving block. One of the efforts to create new innovations in appliance manufacture of paving blocks so that paving blocks compactor was created which were expected to improve the quality of the paving block with the basic mixture of cement and soil.Soil samples tested in this research were soils derived from Kota Baru, Lampung Selatan. Content mixture used was 20% and conducted from 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, and until 28 days curing time as well as the pre and post-combustion treatment on the sample of paving blocks. Based on the physical properties of soil testing, USCS classifies the soil samples as fine-grained soils and belongs to CL group.The results of the research showed that the manufacture of paving blocks using the clay materials with additive materials such as cement fulfilled paving block SNI-03-0691-1996. The addition of the additive materials and curing can increase the physical and mechanical properties of the soil. For the compressive strength of paving blocks without and with burning process were best shown in the addition of a mixture of 20% content with curing time to 14 days. Beside the compressive strength, overall the water absorption between 3-9% qualifies paving block SNI-03-0691-1996. Keywords: paving blocks, clay, compressive strength, curing time, water absorption

    Soil bearing capacity can be determined with several kind of test, that could produce different testresult for same sample in accordance to characteristics of test equipment and main targets of eachtest equipment in determining soil parameters. This research aimed to compare characteristics ofsoil bearing capacity that obtained from DCP (Dynamic Cone Penetrometer) test, LaboratoryCBR test, and UCS (Unconfined Compressive Strength) test.The soil sample which tested on this research was from Margakaya village and Palputih village,District of Jati Agung, South Lampung and Blimbing Sari village, District of Jabung, EastLampung. Soil sample for Laboratory CBR test was made by compaction. Meanwhile, soilsamples for UCS test was undisturbed soil and remoulded sample.The result of research showed that the CBR value of DCP test result was greater than theLaboratory CBR test result with margin less than 1%. The CBR value was directly proportional tothe compressive strength of its soil.     Paving block is smaller segments made of concrete with rectangular or square shape many ofwhich have good compressive strength properties, has good compressive strength properties, canwithstand the load in some extent, and easy installation work. Paving blocks made from a mixtureof portland cement or a kind of adhesive hydrolysis, water, and aggregates with or without otheringredients. In this study the process of manufacture of paving blocks will use a mix of soil andlimestone. Moreover, curing of the paving blocks that are expected to increase the strength ofpaving blocks is according to SNI 03-0691-1996. Soil samples tested were from Kota Baru, SouthLampung. The composition of the soil mix and chalk with a variety of curing time 7 days, 14 days,21 days and 28 days as well as to the treatment of pre-combustion and post-combustion of thesample of paving blocks. Based on the results of physical testing the original soil, USCS classifysoil samples as fine-grained soil and belong to the group ML. Results from this study is themanufacture of paving blocks using silt soil and chalk soil material that does not meet thespecifications of SNI 03-0691-1996. For the compressive strength of paving blocks pre-combustion and post-combustion are best shown in curing time of 28 days. The compressivestrength that generated as a whole still does not meet the specifications of the paving block SKSNI 03-0691-1996 that is a minimum compressive strength at 85 kg / cm 2 .     This study was conducted to assess about the increase of hotmix requirement that is required for National and Provincial highway projects in Lampung Province in the year of 2014 and 2015 as well as the estimated requirement for the next three years. From the analysis and graphs show that the need for a hot mix road projects of national and provincial roads in the province of Lampung is still to be fulfilled by the availability of hot mix in AMP . For 2015 showed an increasing demand hotmix maximum time span exceeding 5 months AMP production capacity on average per month. The results of the analysis predicted increase hotmix in 2018 experienced a considerable difference between the need and availability of hot mix and amounted to 2 times as much and AMP provided feared not being able to meet the demand of maximum hotmix. Keywords: Hotmix, Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP), National Road Projects, Provincial Road Project

    Bandar Lampung is one city that has a road network for the distribution of goods and services (national activities), ie at the Soekarno-Hatta Bandar Lampung. So that existing transport movement is strongly influenced by the existing pavement conditions on roads Soekarno-Hatta Bandar Lampung. In addition, the road pavement conditions also have an impact on the smooth traffic and safety as well as comfort for road users. This study aims to determine the type of damage and the value of the condition on the rigid pavement on roads Soekarno-Hatta Bandar Lampung along with solutions and workarounds. The method used for the assessment is the Pavement Condition Index (PCI). Based on study results, note the condition of rigid pavement on the road Soekarno-Hatta Bandar Lampung, namely: segment 1 = 79.50 (very good), segment 2 = 74.00 (very good), segment 3 = 76.92 (very good) , segment 4 = 83.88 (very good), segment 5 = 94.89 (perfect), segment 6 = 93.56 (perfect), segment 7 = 91.04 (perfect), segment 8 = 83.54 (very good), segment 10 = 92.17 (perfect), the segment 11 = 61.25 (good), the segment 12 = 77.71 (very good), the segment 13 = 88.41 (perfect) and the segment 14 = 84.52 (very good). Despite the rigid pavement condition index is still in good condition category even perfect, but at some point there is a sample unit has a PCI value <55 (fair).     This study consisted of two phases, which collects data required parking, such as license platenumbers of vehicles, to enter and exit the vehicle, and then analyze it with some formula that isused as a parameter conclusion. This study uses several parameters that are used as a referenceconclusion and settlement of the problem, namely the accumulation of vehicle parking, parkingindex, duration of parking, parking capacity, as well as parking turnover rate (PTO). From thecalculation results will be concluded and related solutions in that Faculty.From the analysis, the accumulated value obtained in FKIP largest car park as many as 54vehicles, while the majority of motor vehicle accumulation of 869. In calculating the capacity ofthe car park at FKIP obtained the largest parking capacity as many as 557 vehicles, while formost motor vehicle parking capacity that is equal to 6361 vehicles. In parking index calculationindex values obtained for the vehicle's biggest car park as many as 125,81%, while the largestmotor vehicle as much as 114,49%. At the turn of the calculation in the FKIP-level parking forautomobiles obtained maximum value of 3,79, while in a motor vehicle obtained maximumparking turnover rate of 3,64. From calculations conclude that the motor vehicle parking area atFKIP could not accommodate vehicle parking. As a solution to the problem of the parking lot,then made plans car and motor vehicle parking area at the FKIP plan that can accommodatevehicles parked cars on the faculties.Keywords : FKIP, parking index, parking duration , parking capacity, PT

    Flood is one of the natural phenomena that cause huge losses. Population growth led to the needor increased settlements and land use changes. Rain water infiltration is reduced not only causingfloods but also droughts. Therefore, it is necessary to do environmental insightful flood control,such as retention pond. This research aims to plan and analyze the effect of making retention pondfor flood control.This research was conducted in Duana Street, Palapa Urban Village, Tanjung Karang PusatDistrict which is flowed by Way Simpur River. In this research, the hydrological analysis made ofrainfall data PH 001 Pahoman Station from 1995 to 2009. After having planned rain discharge,hydraulics analysis was executed to analyze the discharge capacity of the existing and planvolume of the storage pond. Calculations of infiltration rate were performed to calculate theabsorbed discharge. Furthermore, storage pond design plan and budget plan were made.In the analysis made, the value of planned rain discharge for 5 years return period is 5.0617m 3 /sec. Total capacity of the storage pond is 12,074.1058 m 3 . The time needed by pool fromvacant until full is 29.0202 minutes. Budget plan required in making this retention pond is Rp1,838,436,742.69. Based on the analysis performed, it was concluded that the retention pond iseffective enough to be used as one of the alternative flood control measures in urban areas.Keywords : flood, retention pond, flood control

    The main objective of this study was to determine the influence of variations of temperaturechanges on the asphalt compaction process heat (hot mix asphalt) layer between (AC - BC)against Marshall parameter with reference to the specifications of Highways in 2010.Based on the analysis of data processing obtained that the value content of asphalt used formiddle limit is 6.1 % and the lower limit of 6.85 %.Based on the analysis of data processing obtained that the value content of asphalt used formiddle limit is 6.1 % and the lower limit of 6.85 %. From the test results Marshall at atemperature of 135oC, 145oC and 155oC in the middle limit has met all the parameters Marshall.Only at a temperature of 125oC and 115oC that do not meet the parameters Marshall Void in valuedue Mix (VIM) and the Marshall Quotient (MQ) do not enter Specifications Highways Marshall2010.     TIME VARIATION EFFECT ON UNCONFINED COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH VALUE ON CLAY AND SILT STABILIZED USING CEMENT ON SOAKING CONDITION

    Soil in Indonesia are mostly clay and silt, which tend to be unstable, such as the soill support,compressive strength of soil and land subsidence. Unconfined Compression Test is a method thatdone in the laboratory to measure compression until the soil separates from its grains and tomeasure the soil stretch from that press. In this research to improve the quality of the soil usedmaterials like cement mixer with a variety of curing 7 days, 14 days and 28 days in order todetermine the optimum strength in clay and silt.From the effect of variations in curing time on compressive strength test values obtainedincrease in the compressive strength at the highest cement mix with a variety of curing time of 14days at 0.5927 kg /cm 2 for clay. On the silt soil increase in the compressive strength with thehighest free 14-day curing time variation of 0.5819 kg / cm2. Under optimal conditions theinfluence of a mixture of cement on clay and silt soil occurred in 9% of cement mix with a curingtime of 14 days. From the results obtained show consistent with an increase in cement content,an increase in the value of qu.     The main needs of water for various purposes will continue to increase based on thenumber of people who continue to grow and the development of the rate of developmentsin various sectors. On the other hand, the number of infrastructure delivery of water iscurrently still relatively limited, that hasn’t meet the needs of water. The demandsunavoidable, but shall predictable and planned utilization as well as possible. A trendfrequent are the imbalance between supply and demand for water. To achieve a balancebetween the need for water and availability of water in the future , efforts are required tomeet builders infrastructure raw water community.Domestic water needs for Padang Cermin sub-district is 32,46 l / s and Punduh Pidadasub-district is 10 l / s for 2015. For the next 20 years, the demands for water will be71,18 l/s for Padang Pidada sub-district and 71,18 l/s for Padang Cermin sub-district.The availability of water must meet the size of the high demand for water in order tosatisfy their daily needs. Methods used to acknowledge the number of the availability ofwater is the method by F.J. Mock. The calculation on that available minimum dischargein das way selorejo is 78 l / s and das way curup is 97 l / s.From the calculation on above, the availability and needs water at das way curup anddas way selorejo had a surplus of the availability of water because environmentalconditions in kecamatan punduh pidada and kecamatan padang cermin is in goodcondition.Keywords : Water needs, availability of water, Water Supply Building Material
