    Palu's local variety shallots are the main commodity of Central Sulawesi. However  the productivity is still relatively low. This study aims to determine the best dose of goat manure on the growth and yield of shallots in the Palu Valley variety.The study conducted in the Village of Bulupountu Jaya, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency, from September to December 2015. The study used a randomized block design arranged in factorial two factors. The first factor is the spacing of 15cm x 15cm (J1) and 15cm x 20 cm (J2) while the second factor is the fertilizer dose consisting of P1 = 0 tons / ha, P2 = 10 tons / ha, P3 20 tons / ha, P4 = 30 tons / ha and P5 = 40 tons / ha. Thus there were 10 treatment combinations that were repeated 3 times so that there were 30 experimental plots. The observed variables included growth components and onion yields. The results of the study indicate that there was no interaction between spacing and dose of manure on growth and yield on most of the observed variables. Spacing does not significantly influence growth and yield. A dose of 30 tons of manure / ha provides better growth. The best production is obtained at the use of goat manure

    The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of training and work motivation of Science Teachers Teaching Performance in Junior High School in Poso. This research is quantitative descriptive survey method conducted from October to December 2015. Population and samples are 33 respondents. Instruments used as a data collectionis a questionnaire with multiple regression analysis techniques. Hypothesis test results obtained Fcount > Ftable (4,978 > 3,316) and contributions influence of 24,9%. Thus, the results of this study povide information that the training and work motivation to have influence of Science Teachers Teaching Performance in Junior High School in Poso

    This research aimed to describe and to analyze effect the professionality and work motivation with performance of elementary school teachers in Palu Timur. The research is quantitative research used survey method on distributed 571 teachers in Palu Timur. The sample teachers were 142 persons. The research data were collected by using a questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS 14.0 version and MS Excel. Based on the analyses: (1) there is a significant effect between professionality and performance; (2) there is a significant effect between work motivation and performance; and (3) there is a significant effect between professionality and work motivation together with work performance of the elementary school teachers at Palu Timur

    This research is qualitative used descriptive method for analyzing the use of formal mathematics reasoning in solving physics problems. Subjects of the research were nine students of SMA Al-Azhar Palu which consisted of three categories in ability, i.e: high, moderate and low category. Research instruments consisted of respondent test selection and interview protocol. Data collection was carried out through recording (by handycame) on thinking-aloud and interview activities. based on data analysis, it could be stated that obtained formal mathematics reasoning includes completeness and repetition in reasoning. It is needed development of learning that considers the important of the use formal mathematics reasoning as framework for evaluating a progress of student’s problem solving

    Production of fresh fish that is high enough requires good handling technology for fish susceptible to the decay process. Handling fresh fish is still unfavorable in terms of security, including the process of handling the fish after rigor mortis, especially when viewed from the aspect of sanitation and hygiene. Consequently fish up into the hands of the seller before the consumers, had been contaminated by chemical contaminants, physical, and microbiological. The study aims to identify Escherichia coli bacterial contamination on fish float (Decapterus russelli) in various markets Palu. Research using descriptive analysis with Total Plate Count testing and identification of the bacterium Escherichia coli. The result of the identification of Escherichia coli bacteria in three markets in the city of Palu showed that all positive fish are Escherichia coli, where the Presidential Market with the number 210 APM / g, Market Masomba the amount of 3.0 APM / g, and 27 APM / g and Markets parents of 35 APM / g. Based on the results of testing of Escherichia coli showed that fish float in three different markets in the city of Palu have exceeded the maximum contaminant ISO 7388-2009 bacterium Escherichia coli on fresh fish that is <3 / g

    Mathematics errors give great effects in physics problem solving, thus the using of mathematics in physics is indispensable because both of them are structured knowledge. The objective of this research is to describe mathematics concepts errors of undergraduate students of Physics education study program on kinematics concepts using vector analysis. Data were gained from students’ answer sheets and Thinking-Aloud recording. The errors of mathematic concepts and procedures were analysed using  Kastolan,  then elaborated how students use mathematics in physics problem solving. This research was conducted at Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Tadulako University and research’ subjects were 5 undergraduate students of Physics education study program which were chosen by purposive sampling methods based on their basic physics subject mark. The results show that mathematics  has crucial role for students in physics problem solving. Percentage of students’ mathematics errors in integral concepts is 50%, differential concepts is 20%, distributive of mathematics is 20%, whereas mathematics procedures errors embody 50% of integral operation errors, 20% of differential errors, 80% of exponent differential errors and trigonometry,  60% of fraction operation  and 20% of calculation operation. These results indicate the lack of respondents’ mathematics concepts understanding specially in exponent differential  and trigonometry concepts  and enact the unit vectors.&nbsp

    The objectives of the study is to describe the influence of Time Token learning model towards learning motivation, to describe the influence of Time Token learning model towards students’ learning achievement of Biology Cell, and to determine the relationship between students’ motivation and learning achievement of Biology Cell in Biology Education Studies Program at the Sintuwu Maroso University. The research design uses posttest only control group design in quasi-experiment research. The sample of the research is 79 students. Data were obtained from the learning motivation and learning achievement of biology cell. Data were analyzed using t test and product moment correlation test using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results showed that there is significant influence of Time Token learning model toward student’ motivation in learning Biology Cell (t> t table, 1.950> 1.665); there is significant influence of  Time Token learning model toward students’ learning achievement of Biology Cell (t> t table, 10.941> 1.665); and there is a positive relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement of Biology Cell in Biology Education Studies Program at Sintuwu Maroso University (r = 0.601 it is the strong category). Based on the results can be concluded that Time Token learning model can improve student’ motivation and learning achievement

    This study aims to determine the effect and interaction of composting and sulfur to changes in the macro nutrients in the soil saline Entisols Sidondo also to know the growth of maize ( Zea mays L ) in saline soil conditions by granting the application of compost and sulfur. The research was conducted from January to March 2016 , samples were collected from the ground in the village Sidondo, District Dolo, Biromaru Sigi regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Implementation of the experiment was conducted at the Experimental Farm, located in the Village Mamboro Western District of North Palu Palu City and analysis of soil and plant tissue analysis conducted at the Laboratory of Nature and Natural Resources and Environment, Faculty of Agriculture, University Tadulako, Palu. This research is compiled in a Complete Randoised Design (CRD) with 8 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used are: Po= 0 ton ha-1, P1= compost 20 tons ha-1, P2= compost 40 tons ha-1, P3= compost 60 tons ha-1, So= 0 kg S ha-1, S1= Sulfur 200 kg S ha-1, S2= Sulfur 300 kg S ha-1, S3= Sulfur 400 kg S ha-1. Research shows the interaction between compost and sulfur real impact on the C-organic, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). While the C / N no interaction Treatment dosage of 60 tons ha-1, compost gives the highest yield on the uptake and concentration of N and P in plant tissues of maize while giving high sulfur results in a dose of 300 kg S ha-1

    This study aimed to obtain a profile solving linear systems of equations of two variables at SMAN 1 Sindue terms of high emotional intelligence. This research is a qualitative research. The research subject is obtained from tests of emotional equotient. The subjects used in this study wasone studentistaken out of grade X students who have high emotional equotient (SEQT). The results of the study at this stage of understanding the problem, (1) SEQT able to write and mention the known and asked, identify the unknown with the sentence statement and asked the interrogative sentence or order,provide examples of known and asked to use their own words, have confidence high and quiet in understanding the problem; (2) SEQT plan calmly problem solving using elimination and substitution; (3) SEQT implement planned seriously and not in a hurry using of elimination and substitution with a relatively short time; (4) SEQT check all the answers that made carefully. After getting the final results and validate the answers then believe that their results are correct, have high self-confidence, more calm and able to adapt to the social environment

    Induksi Kalus Dan Inisiasi Tunas Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.) Lokal Palu

    The aims of these experiments were to obtain appropriate concentrations of 2,4-D for callus induction and cytokinins for shoot initiation of shallot local palu.  The concentrations of 2,4-D tested for callus induction namely 1 ppm, 2 ppm, 3 ppm, 4 ppm and 5 ppm; whilst concentrations of cytokinins tested for shoot initiation including 2 ppm, 3 ppm and 4 ppm for BAP or Kinetin.  These experiments used Completely Randomized Design and each experimental unit utilized two explants with three replications.  Data were computed and analysed by analysis of variance and tested with DMRT for identifying the differences between treatments tested.  Results of these experiments indicated that callus induction as well as shoot initiation of shallot local palu were highly affected by concentrations of 2,4-D or cytokinins tested.  The addition of 3 ppm 2,4-D into culture medium was the appropriate concentration for callus induction. At such medium composition, it was obtained the fastest callus formation (average 4.67 days after culture) and all explants cultured could produce calli.  The addition of 2 ppm BAP into culture medium was the appripriate cencentration for shoot initiation of shallot local Palu.  At such medium composition, it was obtained the fastest shoot formation (average 3.67 days after culture), the highest number of shoot formation (average 2.33 shoots per explant) and the highest chlorophyl content (53.6576) mg chlorophyl A per gram leaves
