The results of the discussion show that Translation learning has great potential in the development of entrepreneurship, such as the potential of the profession as a translator, interpreter, and film translator, in terms of financially this profession is also quite promising.     The purpose of this study is to describe the form and meaning of illocutionary acts which create humor effect in the manga entitled Azumanga Daioh Volume 1 by Azuma Kiyohiko. The data source of this study is the casts’ speeches which have potential to be an illocutionary acts. Data were collected and analyzed based on theory of Searle illocutionary acts. Data were also analyzed using theory of Grice cooperative principle to find a maxim of cooperative principle’s violation. The type of this study is qualitative description with pragmatic approach. The result of this study showed that illocutionary acts within Azumanga Daioh Volume 1 categorized at five illocutionary forms, consisted of assertive “admittingâ€, “claimingâ€, and “speculatingâ€, directive “requirement†and “prohibitionâ€, expressive “criticismsâ€, comissive“offeringâ€, and declarative “decidingâ€. Those illocutionary acts also violated maxim of cooperative principles that are maxim of quantity, maxim of quantity, maxim of relevance, and maxim of manner.     Entrepreneurship-based community development to improve tourism and culture in Kandri tourism village Semarang is one form of activity in the economic field by empowering the tourism village community. Kandri Tourism Village has a special agenda in the field of culture which is one of the efforts in preserving the culture in the village including wayang suket, ketoprak, art lesung and jathilan. Along with the increase of visitors both domestic and foreign tourists so that there is a need for entrepreneurship development in Kandri Tourism Village so that later it can improve the standard of living in the economic field, especially for the people in Kandri Tourism Village. In making tourism village development successful, strategic efforts that need to be developed include: human resource development, profitable partnerships, village government activities, tourism promotion activities, village festivals, village community organization development, collaboration with universities. Entrepreneurship development in a village tourism certainly requires the cooperation and infrastructure that supports tourism activities in Kandri village including eco-lodge, eco-recreation, eco-education, eco-research, eco-energy, eco-development, and eco-promotion.     Struktur Naratif Cerpen Yabu No Naka Karya Akutagawa Ryuunosuke

    Aktan is someone or something that is perfecting or undergoing action. Yabu no Naka's short story research using the Greimas act scheme aims to analyze the actions of characters in short stories using Greimas act theory. Acting scheme includes seven function actions, namely as sender, receiver, object, subject, opposant and helper. While the Greimas functional model consists of three stages: the initial situation, the transformation stage and the final situation. The seven parts of the story in Yabu no Naka's short story are discussed with an approach using a qualitative descriptive paradigm based on the act scheme theory and functional model. The results of the study show that in the seven parts of the short stories analyzed, there are 8 act schemes and 8 functional model tables. There is 1 act scheme that show zeroization (some function roles are zero or none) and 5 functional tables that show zeroization (there are zero or zero stages). Meanwhile, 7 act schemes and 3 other functional tables have a complete or perfect role

    This thesis entitled Feminism Reality as Expressed by Sumarni in theYears of the Voiceless Novel by Okky Madasari: A Critical Discourse Analysis isconducted to convey position and feminism reality of woman as reflected bySumarni in this novel. The subject of this study is the main character namelySumarni regarded as a voiced civilian woman. The reason for choosing this novel isbecause of inequality power relation issues, especially woman. Women areconsidered as weak. Here, Sumarni appears as a main character who wants tospeak up rather than to be voiceless. This study is intended to give a model in howwoman can show her power through her utterances since woman wants to be equalin society. There were several steps in doing this study which have been done.Under the qualitative research, the data collection started from reading the noveland then selecting utterances. While the method of data analysis was done bygrouping Sumarni’s utterances, after that the utterances were analyzed byconsidering feminist stylistic elements at the level of sentence by using transitivitychoices and Wodak’s triangulatory approach. The result of this study reveals thatthe use of relational process is higher than material process intention andsupervention, and mental process internalized and externalized. From the findingabove, it can be seen that Sumarni appears as a not common woman since she canbe a sugarcane field owner and moneylender in the end of the novel. In addition,there is a feminism reality as realized by Sumarni that a woman must beindependent and be responsible both in society and family.     Strategi Kesantunan Permintaan Bahasa Jepang dalam Drama "Engine"

    This paper examines the variations of request strategies based on the theory suggested by Ide Sachiko on Japanese politeness strategies. The purpose of this study is figure out the variations of politeness strategy in Japanese request. The primary data source of this research a Japanese drama entitled "Engine". The data were analyzed based on the Wakimae (Discernment) and Ishiryoku (Volition) concept. Japanese social rules encourage people to take into account the social distance, psychological distance, and formality in every interaction. The distance affects the selection and use of diverse futsuugo and keigo in both request topic sentence and supporting reasons and yobikake usage preference. The results of the study show that the use of yobikake, requests, and reasons were adjusted based on the social distance of the people in the conversation.

    ‘Jalur Gula’ culture is one of tourist destinations in Semarang city. The existence of ‘Jalur Gula,’ culture cannot be separated from the role of a person named Oei Tiong Ham, the king of sugar in Southeast Asia. This culture is located in the old area of Semarang city. This area used to be the center of trade and industry during the Dutch colonialization.This culture is expected to give the real contribution to the tourism sector in Semarang city. This study is aimed at describing the potency of ‘Jalur Gula’ cultural tourism in increasing the hotel occupation in Semarang city. To get this data, observation and library research were conducted. The result showed that ‘Jalur Gula’ culture has the high potency in increasing the hotel occupation in Semarang city. Since Semarang city is a part of sugar trade in the world, there are many tourists visiting Semarang city.     Hotel terminology has long been used in English language since the first establishment of Convent Garden hotel in 1774 in Westminfer, London.The following hotel named City Hotel was then found in1794 located in New York City.Hotels were growing rapidly in Europe as well as in America during the 19th and 20th century. Meanwhile in Indonesia, the first hotel with an international standard known as Hotel Indonesia was established on 5 August 1962. However, hotels today mainly recruit new qualified employees with hotel management backgrounds. The graduates of Hotel Management department are provided with the good skills in practicing the hotel terminology during the study. The hotel terminology itself is particularly employed the most in job interviews. This article shows the easiest way of learning by heart and putting into practice the hotel terminology by defining each term in alphabetical order. The hotel terms apply the most to the Front Office department leading to other departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Services, Food & Beverage Products, Accounting, Sales & Marketing and Safety & Risk. In conclusion, the Front Office department is the main department carrying abundant knowledge about the hotel terminology.Keywords : front office, hotel division ,hospitality language , hotel terminolog
